I was running it literally today :lol:

1hr on spot. Half way into it I thought, why isn't this getting any harder :confused:
Then I started sprinting, the hell with HIIT :dump:, who needs INTERVALS when you are EXTREMELY ACTIVATED :D

Completely understandable. I've done the same thing, multiple times. My "usuals" are usually all I care to have, their knowledge is on point and their personalities are on point, what else can you ask for? So, I hear ya on why change when the gang's all here :dunno:

Now, don’t be fooled that I am going to engage in some sort of a bodybuilding type of routine with endless isolation exercises, that would be totally against my Warrior Instinct as most of you know.

My training is aimed towards functional strength and endurance. Why ? Because that works for me !

* The current routine is rather simple...but vicious... :twisted:

* 4 days weights/ 3 days cardio

Why cardio ? :rolleyes:

1. Because I like it !!!!! :nana:
2. There is a serious risk of myocardial infarction (aka heart attack) during squat/deadlift superset unless your cardio-conditioning is top notch :lol:

WEIGHT TRAINING ROUTINES

THE COMMANNDEMENTS:

1) THOU SHALT NOT Invalid Link Removed UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES USE MACHINES (....errrr, there is one exception there, I’ll explain ! :p)

2) THOU SHALT PICK ONLY A LIMITED NUMBER OF EXERCISES AND BEAT YOURSELF TO DEATH DOING THEM...Invalid Link Removed
....NEVERTHELESS...

3) THOU SHALT (not) OVERTRAIN :lmao:

4) THOU SHALT REST NO LONGER THAN 1 MIN BTW SETS

* I’ve been following this format for the last couple of weeks:
Note: Weights are not done for 4 consecutive days, I generally have 1-2 days off between sessions, depending on how I feel.


DAY 1: LEGS AND BACK


Superset 1

1. DB Deads on stability disc
2. Squats​

Superset 2

1. Pull Ups
2. BB Deads​

Sets: 6-8 per exercise (total 24-32 sets per workout)
Rep range: 6-10


NOTE: I will alternate between Superset 2 and a Single-Dead-set on a weekly basis ‘cause Pull ups are also done on Shoulders/Back day



DAY 2: CHEST, BIS AND TRIS

Superset 1

1. Chin-ups
2. BB Bench Press​

Superset 2

1. BB Bi Curl
2. Dips​

Sets: 6 per exercise (subtotal of 24 sets)
Rep range: 6-15


NOTE: This is where I’m using machines, when I reach failure on regular chins and dips I jump on the assisted machine and continue crancking up reps until I feel like dying Invalid Link Removed

Superset 3

1. Reverse BB Curls
2. “Narrow grip” Pushups – to failure​

Sets: 4 (total of 32 sets)



DAY 3: BACK AND SHOULDERS


Superset 1:

1. Pull ups
2. DB Shoulder Press​

Superset 2:

1. Upright BB Row
2. Upright DB Row​

Superset 3:

1. Hanging Knee Raises
2. Bent over Rows
3. Front Plate Raises
4. DB Laterals​

Sets: 5 per exercise (total of 40 sets :eek:)
Rep range: 6-15



DAY 4 : LEGS

Not superseting these:

1. DB Box StepUps
2. BB Lunges​

Superset 1:
1. Sumo Squats
2. DB Jump Squats​


Sets: 5-6 per exercise (total of 20-24 sets)
Rep range: 6-12

I've increased carbs a lot, mainly around and intra-WO. Running out of gas is a very preventable limitation to ones training. I'm in the habit now of carrying extra emergency supply of dextrose/creatine/BCAA powder whenever I workout.

Seriously, appetite has been on the rise in the last week, if it continues at this rate I'll soon become a threat to the environment ! :wizard:
 
OK fellow warriors, a brief supp update:

* I made an easy transition to this stack.

1ST WEEK:
Anabolic Edge + Activate Xtreme: 1 caps each, 4 days a week, 30 min preWO (weights, not cardio) on empty

2ND WEEK:

Same dosing but taken 6 days a week (weights and cardio)

My girlfriend thinks she can do the same but has gone 1 month without a weight increase and minor toning! her training schedule is good. Her eating is good. But i think she needs supplementation! what would you suggest? would lowering her estrogen cause her chest to get smaller? because i know she is concerned with this!

For someone who's just beginning all that is necessary to improve their physique is HARD training, an adequate calorie intake from clean sources, PATIENCE AND PERSEVEARANCE. As for supps, I'd stick with the basics, a good creatine product, BCAAs, fish oil, whey (the later not to substitute for whole protein sources). This is how I started. I kept that for a year. This is my third year of training.

Errr, unless she starts injecting steroids, NO.

OK, a little elaboration...what really surprised me was:
A BIG JUMP IN BOTH, STRENGTH (LUNGES +16LB, SUMOS +33LB :eek: :fool2:) AND ENDURANCE IN SUCH A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME Invalid Link Removed

I added dropsets without planning simply because I felt like it :twisted:
The muscles just didn't seem to mind. At the end of the day I'm thinking I could have pushed myself even harder ! :lol:

Also, the DB Disc squats were done with 33lb DBs (+6lb from last week)

The odd numbers are 'cause our plates are in kg :p
 
You're torso looks longer, perhaps it has something to do with the leanness :dunno:

Your delts look amazing as well, they're shredded and the vascularity in your arms make me feel lame.

Very fitness magazine looking abs, and again, they your torso appears longer to me :dunno:
