First I want to thank @love2liftkat and the rest of the BLR team for picking me to run this sponsored log. There were a lot of worthy applicants and I feel privileged to have been picked for the log.

I am going to be running BLR FOLLIDRONE 2.0 and EXOTHERM!!!!

190562

I will post information about the products in the next post.

I am gonna get down to the nitty gritty. I have gained a lot of weight that I am not happy about while going through some injuries, the holidays as well as bad food decisions and lack of discipline. Some of which were just this past birthday / Superbowl Weekend!

Current Training - I am dealing with a nerve injury / impingement that is making my arm go numb / fall asleep so my training is very instinctive right now. I can only do what I can do on the days I can do it. So I do not have a training program I am following. I get as intense as I can do without triggering nerve discomfort which stems from my neck so many things unfortunately can set it off. So there won't be any direct focus on strength here. Just working to maintain and or get some hypertrophy in the areas I can push hard enough to do so. I am also doing 2-3 cardio sessions a week and additional cardio at the end of resistance sessions if they are cut short due to nerve issues.

Current Nutrition - I am following an Intermittent Fasting Protocol most days and keeping most of my carbs in the evenings. My deficits vary by day eating less on cardio days and more on resistance training days. I tend to call them build and burn days and over the course of the week a averaging about a 500 calorie a day deficit.

Supplementation - Other than my health staples and a pre workout I won't be taking any other supplements so that we can gauge what the products are doing for me.

Current Weight and Composition- as of this morning 220.2

190563
190564

190565

Worthy of note:
I just got back from a long weekend away at my cousins celebrating my Birthday and ate and drank pretty liberally. So I am holding a bit of water, and glycogen. I probably gained about a good lb or so of fat back since it is easy for me to gain when pounding calories. I am up from 213.7 last week. So I might drop to about 215 quickly then will have to work for every ounce of loss which is where the products are going to come in.

I started dosing today and have burned 465 calories in the treadmill today as well.

FOLLIDRONE 2.0

190569

THE NEXT GENERATION OF NATURAL ANABOLICS!
Follidrone 2.0 by Black Lion Research is changing the natural anabolic game with one of the most effective products to hit the market. An all-natural product that can be used year round without fear of negative hormonal side effects. No need to follow your cycle with a PCT. 100% natural and will promote strength, endurance, and increased pumps while training while even improving the fat burning process.
Enjoy the 100% natural gains from fully researched ingredients proven effective in adding muscle mass and strength while getting leaner.
PRODUCT HIGHLIGHTS
  • Build lean muscle mass
  • Improved strength and endurance
  • Increased muscle pump
  • 100% natural
INGREDIENT BREAKDOWN
  • Epicatechin– Very popular ingredient extracted from Green tea is most well known as a myostatin inhibitor. This increases the body’s ability to build lean muscle mass. Has also shown to increase endurance and enhance muscle pumps during training.
  • Eckionia Cava - EC is a myostatin inhibitor which increases the uptake of glucose into muscles which will give your muscles more fullness and pump. Also builds lean muscle mass via multiple pathways and reduce body fat.
  • Flos carthami – Has natural anabolic properties. Also acts as a pain reliever, and is a strong antioxidant.
  • Quercetin-Niacin co crystals - Quercetin and niacin are both relatively well known, however, quercetin has a terrible rate of absorption making it almost useless. Bonding both compounds together creates a quercetin that is absorbed at a much higher level and a niacin with no flush. Will boost levels of performance, vasodilation, and has a synergistic effect with epicatechin that increases absorption.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Directions: Take 3 capsules daily. Take 1 capsule in the morning and 2 capsules before training or 1 capsule 3x daily.
SUPPLEMENT FACTS
**(DV)Daily Value Not Established
Amount per serving%DV

Spot reduction has said to be a myth but Black Lion Research formulated a product making it possible. Exotherm is a transdermal fat burner and anti-estrogen agent that’s applied topically and best utilized when cutting. Works effectively when applied to those stubborn body fat areas when eating in a calorie deficit and training. Exotherm helps in reducing estrogen to give that leaner and harder look to your physique.
Using one of the world’s strongest OTC anti-estrogens paired with Cirsium oligophyllum for spot reducing, Exotherm is the perfect addition to a cutting stack. Exotherm is a non-stimulant fat burner that can be combined with other fat burners or taken as a standalone.

  • Cirsium oligophyllum -This is an exceptional non stimulant fat burner that has been shown to spot reduce fat when applied topically.
  • Stearoyl vanillylamide -This is a capsaicin analogue that isnt volatile and wont burn the skin. It stimulates the vanilloid receptors for exceptional fat burning potential.

Thanks, and welcome!

Question for @brundel or any of the reps who know. The EXOTHERM mentions that it is good for spot reduction and I have some slight gyno and a good bit of pseudo-gyno, otherwise known as estrogen sensitive fat under my pecs and going into my armpits. The bottle says to apply to the upper chest and neck. However if there is a spot on my body I would like to see spot reduction it is that pseudo-gyno. So should I follow the directions and apply to my neck and upper chest or are those directions for someone who does not have a spot they would like to see more targeted loss in? My first doses have been to the chest and neck. However if this can possibly have a better more localized effect on my fat under my chest and armpit I would much rather use it there.

Certainly cant hurt. Only caveat is I would not apply directly under arms. Outside of specs is fine. We just done want the combo of alcohol, drying and friction. =rash.
I would think directly applying to outer part of chest will be helpful.

Day 2 - Upper Body - Took 2 FOLLIDRONE Preworkout.

Warm Up =
Elliptical w Arm Levers - Level 12 x7 minutes
- until light sweat
Upper Body direct warm up = Foam Rolling and Thoracic Extensions, Prone shoulder rolls x10 forward, x10 backward, Prone Shoulder Protraction x10, Cat / Camels x10, Wrist/forearm dynamic stretch series
Neck Rehab =Chin Tucks 3 x 40 seconds, Chicken Wings 3x20
Vertical Rope Pull Machine 1 minute lat focus, 1 minute triceps focus

Note on rep tempo for entire workout - Tempo was adjusted throughout set to make each set reach an RPE8-RPE9, and failure on final set

Super Set 1-
Hoist Roc-It Decline Press - 110x25 @8, 160x20 @9, 180 x fail
Hoist Roc-It Mid Back Row - 110x25 @8, 160x20 @9, 180 x fail - Had a massive pump at the end of this super set already. Not sure if related to the FOLLIDRONE, or just from having tons of glycogen from the last week and doing high reps. I would assume the latter but increased pumps is one of the things listed from FOLLIDRONE so worthy of mentioning. I will be able to tell more on this after some of the glycogen stored have been depleted.

DB Arnold Press - No lockout for continued tension - 37.5 x RPE9 x 2 sets and failure on the third.

Roc-It Lat Pulldown - 160 x RPE9 x 2 and failure on third

DB Bottom End Partial Side Raises - 37.5 x 30 x 3 sets - last set was taken beyond failure down into small pulses to complete reps

Face Pulls - 40 x RPE9 x 2 and failure on third set

============================================================================

EXOTHERM was applied after my shower.
- Question - how would you recommend I apply 2nd dose, tonight it will be after work then before bed. However if it should be mid-day then how would you recommend I take it to work. Taking the whole bottle to work isn't really an option. Would you recommend putting the dose in a ziploc then turn it inside out and use it to apply the product?

Certainly cant hurt. Only caveat is I would not apply directly under arms. Outside of specs is fine. We just done want the combo of alcohol, drying and friction. =rash.

Excellent! That is the plan going forward. I am probably going to go ahead and trim chest hair to make sure not to lose any product on the hair then.
Wouldn't miss this! In for sure!
Interested in results.

Your workouts injured can put uninjured people to shame! Haha

As for the 2nd dose- I felt the same way about the bottle. I just used a small travel pill container but the ziplock is an even better. That’s easier to get it all out. Some of the other guys may have other experiences/ideas though. With the bag, it also limits the amount absorbed into your hands and more so into your chest. (I’ve never been very good with using wrists to apply haha)

Trying to make sure my training hits the intensity by forcing failure once for each exercise. Studies show that failure it the number one way to guarantee gains so hoping I am giving the FOLLIDRONE what it needs to do it's thing. The research looks good on the EXOTHERM so I am feeling good about it.

Thanks Kat, I try, like I mentioned above, I might not be able to move heavy weights but I can move enough that with plenty reps, shorter rest periods and dedication to achieving failure I will be able to spur on some muscle adaptation.

I think a lot of people think small when looking at resistance training and calories expended. You always hear that you do not burn a lot of calories with resistance training. I do agree that is the case with what you actually burn during training. However, I do not think people take into account the energy cost of muscle tissue repair and adaptation that stems from the resistance training. So even if I am not able to grow on this run, I know I am not going to lose muscle, and am definitely going to train hard enough to cause the need for repair!

Are you doing both positive and negative failure? Or just until the positive fails and then, bust out partials? Or will you have a partner doing forced reps until even the negative portion fails? Of the rep of course. I always hit failure, but mainly positive failure. It's difficult to train the true Mentzer way without a GOOD spotter/partner

Just concentric failure. EI... can't finish a rep dig for a couple seconds then stop, if I have the control after that I will iso hold or lower slowly a lot of that depends on it the stability is there. When the nerve starts up I lose stability in that scapula, shoulder and arm quickly.

Day 3 - Cardio and Rehab Day
Weight = 215.7 -
A lot of the bloat has come off since my weigh in Monday. I am guessing maybe another lb or 2 will come off by the weekend, some of that will likely be fat as well.

Nutrition - was on point for goals yesterday right around 170p, 200c, 55f by my estimates.

Warm Up - Spent about 15 minutes doing most of my rehab work and glute activation work

Treadmill - walking on incline 35 + cool down = 419 calories

Sauna - 15 minutes - stretching, mobilization and neck rehab also done in sauna.

Supplement dosing pattern for the day - 6:45 EXOTHERM & 1 FOLLIDRONE, 12:00-1:00 PM EXOTHERM & 1 FOLLIDRONE. 6:30PM EXOTHERM & 1 FOLLIDRONE

EXOTHERM TO GO!
190635

I know it looks... well a little inappropriate to say the least! LMAO!!! The plan is to cut the corner off and apply with wrists to under and side of pecs and then turn the bag inside out and apply the remaining solution.

Subbed! You’re a very worthy member to run this stack! Can’t wait to see the finished results!

Comments on EXOTHERM Application - Just wanted to mention this since I just did my 2nd application for the day. This stuff dries fast! No real residue and no unpleasant smells! Also bringing the 2nd application to work in a Ziploc bag went well, I tore the corner off and squeezed some onto my wrist and then rubbed on one side of my chest then turned the bag inside out and applied the rest of the product to the other side using the baggie. It went well but obviously not as fast as the side done with the wrist since it was soaking into both my wrist and my chest on the other side and only into my chest on the side with the baggie so a little more work.

With regards to the dosing. If needed you can always just do 2 and 1 or 1 and 2 and miss the middle one.
Easier than baggies.
First thing I always notice with exo is I get super hot.

Excellent!!! I didn't want to mess with the dosing if it really mattered but I think 2 in the AM while moving around more is probably going to be better.

I did notice I got warmer this afternoon. Not so much in the morning but I am coming from 15-20 minutes in a sauna then a hot shower so body temp is already elevated when I apply the morning dose.

Day 4: Legs
Weight - 212.7 -
down another lb, still losing water weight that I was holding onto.
Warm Up = Bike x 10 minutes level 12

Neck Rehab Stuff
Heavy Banded Hip Thrust off of Bench - 3x15 3-1-2-3 tempo

Hip Resetting Movements

Leg Press - 6p x15, 8px15, 10p x 15, 14p x8, 12p x12, 10p x10, 8p x12, 6x12
- Was really frustrated with this outing... My hip just never got comfortable, and I was also very weak, really had no gas at all. I think I might have been going hypo from the way it felt and how I felt after the workout.

Leg Extensions - 75kg x10, 75kg x 7, 60kg x10, 50kg x6 = Got a quad sting, on 2nd set, dropped weight for next set, started to feel it again, dropped for one last set to see if I could do that and stopped once it started.

I only had 5 minutes left to lift after this with all the extra time I spent trying to get my hips to reset and adding time between sets. I was feeling drained and demotivated with how the workout had gone so I just went to the sauna and did some stretching. I may try to do a little something tonight after having eaten a few times, or hit legs again later this week when I am feeling on. Not sure if I was coming down with something, just going hypo, or a little of both but feeling drained. My daughter was sick Sunday and Monday and my wife has been feeling sick the last 2 days so I might be fighting off whatever they passed on to each other.

Either way I felt a bit hypo today and knowing the FOLLIDRONE can effect blood sugar I have decided I am going to go ahead and have a pre/intra drink from now on for my lifting days and eat throughout the day to take advantage of the anabolism on build days, and only do IF on my Burn / Cardio days. Caloric goals will remain the same, just the eating pattern will change.

Also of note, as mentioned above, I dropped another lb overnight. I got down to 211 about a week or so before, but recently increased carb intake and bumped up to 213 and some change before leaving for Dallas last weekend. So I think this weight dropping back down toward that is probably partially a result of estrogen levels going down a little. I believe this is probably a good base weight for my starting point where we can say I have no more bloat from last weekends celebration. I will not be weighing in daily from now on. Just wanted to get a good read on where I landed after cleaning up from the weekend so that I could really assess what is coming from the product. I will probably not weigh again until Sunday or Monday morning.

John Meadows is big on keeping the training session sacred with regards to maintaining intra nutrition. He says when you are cutting seriously, you will have to make cutbacks and you are going to have to suffer, but peri-training is the one part of the day you should be getting enough fuel and some carbs for sure. Pre is more important than post.

Doctor Squat said you should always eat for what you are about to do, not what you’ve done, to maximize performance and composition. He was the first man to ever squat 1,014lbs and he did it weighing in for the 220lb class and was 45. So he knew a thing or two about muscle retention. This was in ‘86 back when squat suits weren’t much better than knee wraps now.

Yeah, when I was training in the evening IF worked much better. Wasn't gonna be much of a problem with retaining muscle mass with the fasted morning sessions but to get any growth out of it... I have eaten twice now today and am feeling good. More low fat higher carb. Definitely noticed my blood sugar dropping before lunch too. Got that eyes rolling in the back of my head feeling and felt like I had to go eat something. Right now sitting at 86p, 123c, and 24f. Will have 8oz tilapia and 1.5 cups rice, and some broccoli around 3:30 or 4:00PM.

Day 3 - Cardio and Rehab Day
Weight = 215.7 -
A lot of the bloat has come off since my weigh in Monday.

I know it looks... well a little inappropriate to say the least! LMAO!!! The plan is to cut the corner off and apply with wrists to under and side of pecs and then turn the bag inside out and apply the remaining solution.

Thank you Sir! Hopefully you will have to wait 2 months, I intend to progress well enough to earn the 2nd month of the stack!
Okay Im caught up!
My EXOTHERM Pump would lock down. When I used my last pump after the morning shower I could twist it and lock it down from pumping. Then put it in my bag if needed. Note I haven't used it in awhile and the bottles might be different.
