Just ran into one of your sponsored athletes the other day , the lead guitarist from War of Ages (Steve Brown). Good dude. I think you may have met Alex before (Drummer) or Leroy (Vocalist)
Yep talking to Alex pretty regularly. Great guys to say the least

Small world they grew up 5 minutes from me in Erie. It was pretty cool I got to shoot with them for their last video they did in Erie for Chaos Theory off the Supreme Chaos album. Always front row for everyone of their shows when they are in town.

ITT, bros who've never heard of Protein Fluff.

Meanwhile, bikini competitors and anorexic males stuff their faces gleefully with 100 calorie casein/xanthan gum concoctions...until the next trip to the toilet or therapist (whichever comes first).
I've heard of it, no need to make it unless one is super low on calories.

I was thinking the same thing. My only issue is with the pump ingredients. Haha, if I'm doing 200-400 double unders in a metcon, I don't want my calves to explode.

Has anybody used Quake (I'd be going with stim free) before doing conditioning-type training? And seriously, just answer the damn question or link me to a thread that covers it. I don't need 15 random quotes from 10 pages back of people that mentioned it in passing. I know how to read but don't have time to keep up with this thread every second. (end rant).
I never had any issues with my calves being too pumped. I ride probably 10-15 miles somedays postworkout. My calves feel fine. I don't think you should have a problem with it at all. I did have the stimmed version, but I was good.

Your opinion about when such a thing is necessary is not relevant; in fact, I find all such eating disordered so this is not a point of disagreement.

The thrust of my post is that there is a market for casein beyond "anabolic night time shakes" such as the above item (among others), hence correcting the working assumption of previous discussion.

Never used casein previously but started making my way through samples I had by making a pudding. Idk if it's the cut, but I've enjoyed it. Gaspari flavoring has been awesome lately so I'll grab a tub to make pudding with when it comes out. Hoping to see more than just a chocolate and vanilla.

I won a tub of ON's chocolate casein. It was ok, just made it thick and ate it like a pudding most of the time, think it's just one of those things and a lot of bro science

best way to utilize a casein. Half scoop it with a favorite whey or whey blend. Use the whey blend to help flavor the casein, and use the casein to help thicken whatever you are using the whey/blend for. Just be cautious on using casein when baking rising agents (pancakes, muffins, loaves, breads) because it is a thick powder. It won't rise to its full peak. Save the casein for baking things like cheesecakes, bread puddings, rice puddings etc.. Because those require the product to be thick, not things to rise.

I would half scoop Muscle Tech Vanilla Casein with MAN Sports Clean Protein (Expensive as FUU), Metabolic Nutrition PB Cookie, MSI Flavors just so I can get the enjoyable flavoring and make my pudding or shakes thicker.

Casein does mix well with a range of other proteins, but the chalky like form to it makes it less palatable than other protein sources, i like it due to it being a great aid when dieting to fight of hunger.

Out of these, Xanthan, Guar Gum, Inulin, or Konjac Glucomannan, which is best to thicken protein such as whey to make a protein pudding type dessert. I have used Psyllium husk but find it has a bitter taste which spoils the taste of any whey i add it to.

Casein definitely has its place. I make my own custom mixes and always have about 20% casein included.

I'm going to try this. I'll probably grab a Vanilla Casein and go from there. I have some BBM I want to mix with it first and see how that comes out. I have high hopes now that I think about it.

Got the text last night -- I'm not a tea fan at all, but have to admit that sounds kind of tasty; depends on how strong the peach flavor is.

Quest Hero Bar

While quest calls it their candy bar. It's simply a replica of a nitro tech crunch / mybar. Crunchy outside with a coating and a very soft inner center.

Blueberry Cobbler, Chocolate Caramel Pecan, and Vanilla Caramel. The numbers are (blueberry/chocolate/vanilla) 17/15/16g of protein, 10/11/10g of fiber, 30/27/29g of carbohydrates, 12/11/11g of allulose, 4g of net carbs for all flavors, and a total of 170/200/180 calories.

I'm thinking texture will be similar to Nitrotech bars, syntha 6 crisps, grenade, etc. It wouldn't surprise me if Quest is going that route because of the ever expanding protein bar market with numerous brands that people find better than theirs.

For those unfamiliar with the term “candy bar style” protein bar, it’s something that’s built more like a candy bar with a handful of delicious layers topped with a chocolate coating. Some examples of that would be Muscletech’s Nitro-Tech Crunch, MuscleMeds’ Carnivor Bar, ProSupps’ MyBar, and now the Quest Hero Bar.

See what happens when one doesn't read :D

Glad to see Quest making this move. I am no longer a fan of their bars, but I'm glad to see they are not staying complacent.
