Either ultradrol or Epi-strong would be nice, though I don't know a lot about the ultra. Epi-strong however, is my drug of choice!:sgrin:
Hope you get your PCT sh1t man!
If you were 16 years old pulling 5 plates, then you're uncommonly strong.
I think that guy in the "Roman Deadlifts" video is named Roman and he named his version of the deadlift because he performs a traditional concetric movment, but uses a SLDL for the eccentric portion, thus, the "Roman Deadlift." I think it's just easier to call deads coventional or SLDL or "Romans" I guess if you decide to combine the two.
The link up in post 89 has the link to my vid, I do believe. And thats just 1RM, I could only rep 7-8 plates. Now not so much haha. Plus I deadlifted for about 18 months once every 1-2 weeks among my other back and leg exercises, alternating with squats, hack squats, leg press, etc and trained for strength. Plus alot of good eating. It was slow but that was my peak.
and I agree, the guy in the video himself said he changed the name from spartan to roman or something, so not romanian at all.
Nice Workout! Sorry I have not posted up more, I was out of town this weekend.
Read about that in your log, hope everything's okay.
Gotta keep getting stronger!!

I got back into town and was at the gym within an hour. I tried my hardest to put a hurting on it!!!
Killer rows man!!!
Sounds goodI don't think you need to follow the cycle + PCT equals time off rule for Transaderm. Its pretty mild and dont affect your body the same. I wouldnt hesitate to jump on a cycle after a month off of it
BTW...nice job on the PRs
Man I wish I could do them with the clean grip. Im working flexibility now. But in the mean time the hands cross over the top of the bar style is the only way I can actually do squats of any kind now (well I could do zerchers....)Nice job on the front squat PR. I've probably asked this before, but are you doing them cross arm or Cleans grip?
Ah, good conditioning. When I do my 6X6 circuit it usually has a mix of those in it. lolNice job on the rows dude, those are mean!
and front squats remind me of my good ole football coach making me and my buddy do hangclean-press-squats together for 3 sets of 10 with 115. that was a beast workout.
Work out 2 5x5
Front squats (max lift @ WO1's third set)
95x5
95X5
105X5
105X5
115X5
Dead lifts
135X5
135X5
185X5
225x5
245x4 (this is where I pulled my back, on rep two on this exercise I got a little worried so I didn't pull it up nicely, reps 3 and 4 were good but I was pretty much mentally destroyed by the thought of injury that I couldnt do the 5th rep. Next week Ill do the 5th rep! )
Bench
135x5
135x5
185x5
225x5
245x3 (no spotter, again fear.... But I think I could have gotten maybe one more, as on the 225 set I had to push for the 5th rep, next week Ill try to get anotehr rep here)
weighted sit ups
35x8
35x8
35x8
Good workout. No PRs but a good workout to get me back on track on my conventional deads.
Solid WO Mat. Sorry to read about your back, but I'm sure you'll have it G2G for next week. That 5th rep won't stand a fugging chance. Kill that sh!t!!!
nice dude. I was doing deads yesterday, just regular form no SLDL, and today my legs feel like I got stabbed. I think I iratated my hamstring tear. lol. and trust me dude having no spotter really hurts. I got from doing 205 for 8 just messing around with my buddy, to pushing 185 for 7-10. I mean my bench is weak now dude to 10 weeks off, but dang I shouldnt be that weak.
VolcomX311 said:Go with the three finger off hand Cleans grip, bro! The flexibility and confidence to stabilize a weight from an open grip (for cleans) starts with the front squat!

Hey Brother, thought I'd drop in on your thread and see what you're up to. I used to get a back kink about every 3 or four months. I started doing hyperextensions and roman chair crunches and knock on wood I've been pain freee in the back area. It used to get so bad I couldn't move at all.i meant my injuly from July. I pulled it on the second rep on this weight and exercise on rep 2 lol. My back is fine, just mentally i got that whole scenario stuck in my head... I couldnt walk for 2 days. I couldnt sit for a week. driving was SOO hard.. getting in and out of the car sucked for about 4 weeks...

Nice Work Outs, your killin' it. I am a big fan of the row too I've backed off a little since I tore my left bicep off the bone two years ago. I still row close to 300 on occasion but not often concentrate more on form. Keep hittin' hard bro

spotter is needed for anything over body weight I think. Just a preference maybe.. But I need it anything above 195ish. Man, I wish I could drop my deads... I lift at home so I have to kinda SLDL them down so I dont drop a hole in my floor...
Torn hammy... damn... haha.
I don't know the specifics of your diet, but sometimes going hypo could give you anxiety or maybe you're just genuinely stressed. It happens. Anything particularly stressful going on?
I've always noticed hypo, I did the UD2 (cyclical carb) for like 10 weeks before. That was some mean swinging in blood sugar. If your like me then you feel like that a few times a day^
Hope you don't have anymore experiences with it.
Currently the diet is somewhat low carb on rest days, and moderate carb on work days. Though my moderate carb count comes in just around 200g, while lower is around 100g. On work days my total calories is higher though. Are you going low Carb or Keto right now? If so that could be contributing to it
My God your strength is impressive. I love the weight on the bent over rows pr!!!! You can tell your strength is moving up.
BB Rows are impressive brudda!
Dang Matt. Your juicing aren't you. lol Dang Japanese food must be doing something good for you cause those BB Rows are sick.
Well your killing it. Loving the pr's you have been hitting. And the amount of weight your using is crazy.
Haha damn man good call on the clamps..
Seriously jealous of the weight your pullin on those rows. Keep up the good work!
Great log and wicked strength man!
mattrag said:Yea I think the transdermal DHEA is definitely converting into muscle building down stream hormones. Only estrogen sides I get it the water, but that might simply be from running a transdermal product? I have no idea lol. Strength gains are good, no nipple sensitivity. Thought I had some eariler in the run but it was most likely due to the sudden change in weather. Cold nips... lol.
I'm getting a lot of the same effects from it. Nice strength increases and muscle fullness. I'm loving the Transaderm right now!
