In some dire need of prayer.
I have developed Tinnitus in my left ear about 8 months ago. Mostly a small issue, but some days now it can get so bad it can really mess with my emotions or one night it prevented sleep.
My insurance should be straitened out next week so I can go back to my ENT. Problem is, Tinnitus is a tricky issue with only half cures. As in it seemingly gets cured if its from certain issues, but other issues there is no cure just aid....
I am believing God for it to completely go away.

Thanks everyone.
The tinnitus is now in both ears, which is weird since I wear sound protection....
And I have a weird feeling in my brain, so I am wondering if I am not feeling well and I do got an infection again, or if something crazier is up. I can hear high pitched squeals every once in awhile above the normal ring like my brain just fried or something. Many other issues with how my head feels as well
For the first time in a long time I am a little worried. Getting to see a doc now though is gona be irritating and rough...

Jesus never said the ride would be easy, only that He will be with us. I would rather have him with me in a storm than be without Him.
Zero, you may want to look at getting some hydergine for the tinnitus, it's actually prescribed for that, plus it has some cognitive boosting effects as well. Mention that to your doctor to see what he says.

Just wanted to post up that I have found another job, its not where I want to be (autozone) buy it will allow me to save some money for grad school. I'm always applying to better places but I just wanted to thank everyone tor praying for me over the past few months.

It has been a while since I have visited here.
Things were picking up from my girlfriends chemo, until recently where the doctor stopped giving her 1 last treatment.
Recently she picked a virus that gave her a minor flu.
From her recently blood work it seems that her white count and platelets are low. We are worried that it may be a relapse. Please, please, please offer her your prayers.

Well the dentist put me on Zpack for my infection issues. I have an abscessed tooth where the nerves died, its infected. So getting that other tooth pulled didnt do the trick, I have kinda an ear infection thing going gin.
Honestly I have had infection in my head/body for a couple years now...
If this 5 days of Zpack dont work, I am going to be quite worried...anti-biotics dont seem to do well in me now...

I love reading this thread. Its a little inspiration sometimes. Being in college, my faith is tested on a daily basis. I pray every night that my faith remain strong and I pray the same for everyone else and to let Jesus will be done.

The Quilt Holes
As I faced my Maker at the last judgment, I knelt before the Lord along with all the other souls.
Before each of us laid our lives like the squares of a quilt in many piles; an angel sat before each of us sewing our quilt squares together into a tapestry that is our life.
But a s my angel took each piece of cloth off the pile, I noticed how ragged and empty each of my squares was. They were filled with giant holes. Each square was labeled with a part of my life that had been difficult, the challenges and temptations I was faced with in everyday life. I saw hardships that I endured, which were the largest holes of all.
I glanced around me. Nobody else had such squares. Other than a tiny hole here and there, the other tapestries were filled with rich color and the bright hues of worldly fortune. I gazed upon my own life and was disheartened.
My angel was sewing the ragged pieces of cloth together, threadbare and empty, like binding air.
Finally the time came when each life was to be displayed, held up to the light, the scrutiny of truth. The others rose; each in turn, holding up their tapestries. So filled their lives had been. My angel looked upon me and nodded for me to rise.
My gaze dropped to the ground in shame. I hadn't had all the earthly fortunes. I had love in my life and laughter. But there had also been trials of illness, and false accusations that took from me my world, as I knew it. I had to start over many times. I often struggled with the temptation to quit, only to somehow muster the strength to pick up and begin again. I spent many nights on my knees in prayer, asking for help and guidance in my life.. I had often been held up to ridicule, which I endured painfully, each time offering it up to the Father in hopes that I would not melt within my skin beneath the judgmental gaze of those who unfairly judged me.
And now, I had to face the truth.. My life was what it was, and I had to accept it for what it was.
I rose and slowly lifted the combined squares of my life to the light.
An awe-filled gasp filled the air. I gazed around at the others who stared at me with wide eyes.
Then, I looked upon the tapestry before me. Light flooded the many holes, creating an image, the face of Christ. Then our Lord stood before me, with warmth and love in His eyes. He said, 'Every time you gave over your life to Me, it became My life, My hardships, and My struggles.
Each point of light in your life is when you stepped aside and let Me shine through, until there was more of Me than there was of you.'
May all our quilts be threadbare and worn, allowing Christ to shine through!
God determines who walks into your life...it's up to you to decide who you let walk away, who you let stay and who you refuse to let go.'

I'm about to crash out after my w/o, but wanted to tell you guys I love each and every one of you and continue to pray for you. Seeing my buddies here on AM and in this thread, men who have shared their ups and downs with me, and I have shared my life with you too, it just makes me very thankful.
In between sets tonight, I heard a preacher say something on the radio. It was Adrian Rodgers, and he said "heaven is not a reward for the righteous, rather it's a gift for the guilty." We often think we only get to heaven if we're good enough, but that's not how it works. We're saved for good works, but good works is not what saves us. I know things are tough for many of us, but don't give up on God because He's not giving up on us!

hey guys, only been on the board a few months and I just now saw this thread for the first time but i just wanted to say i really think its awesome!
and while I didn't read all 55 pages it seems that there really hasn't been any flaming going on here or attacks etc on this topic of prayer and I know from expierence and from admining several boards of my own that this is rare.

between assignments. He had completed 20 missions in Iraq
and Afghanistan . One of the courses had a professor who
was an avowed atheist, and a member of the ACLU.
One day the professor shocked the class when he came in.
He looked to the ceiling and flatly stated, "GOD, if you are real, then
I want you to knock me off this platform... I'll give you exactly 15 min."
The lecture room fell silent. You could hear a pin drop. Ten minutes
went by and the professor proclaimed, "Here I am GOD, I'm still waiting."
It got down to the last couple of minutes when the Marine got
out of his chair, went up to the professor, and cold-****ed him;
knocking him off the platform. The professor was out cold.
The Marine went back to his seat and sat there, silently.
The other students were shocked and stunned, and sat there
looking on in silence. The professor eventually came to,
noticeably shaken, looked at the Marine and asked,
"What in the world is the matter with you? Why did you do that?"
The Marine calmly replied,
"GOD was too busy today protecting America 's
soldiers who are protecting your right to say stupid stuff and

Guys please pray for our brothers and sisters in Batak, Indonesia...I beleive extremists/Islamists shattered their Church just recently, and now they were threatened and attacked by an angry mob of 300 or so muslims that were threatening them and trying to stop them for PRAYING, on the field that has their shattered church. The Christians surprisingly were protected to some extent by the police but the rioters finally broke threw and injured some of the people who were just trying to pray.
Please do stand with our brethren in some prayer and we can pray that God turns the hearts of the extremists, change the hearts of the government and give these Christians better protection and also a new Church back, I pray that their Church may be built again without having to face death threats and violence.

I gather from this story the true meaning of the church. Not a building, but a group of believers gathered in His name.
Although there is no church [building] the Church is very much there and alive! They are blessed for their continued faith in the presence of perseverance.

Feeling pretty awesome today, my friends. I was baptised through the Catholic church as an infant, but yesterday, I made the decision to be baptised at my new church. It's a great feeling in knowing that it was my decision and not tradition.

I was baptized as a child too, Episcopal. But their doctrine is on the cutting edge of modern apostasy. It's pathetic. I'm glad you got into a new church my brother, Catholicism is crumbling before our very eyes...

Awesmoe bro I too was "sprinkled" as a child but was later re-baptized because I felt very strongly that baptism is a choice, an outward demonstration of your commitment to Christ that you simply cannot conceive of as an infant. Congtratulations!
