Intra Aid Notes: I've been using Intra-Aid my last four workouts. I find that at two scoops my strength, stamina and power are phenomenal. With one scoop I add 12 g of extra malto/dextrose and 5 g of BCAAs, and the feeling just isn't the same. I don't seem to perform as well on my lifts and I feel more fatigued. I don't know exactly why this would be the case. However I am sticking with the double dose for now! :lol:

My workout today was intense, but I didn't feel mentally tired afterward. Heck, I don't feel that physically tired right now. Intra Aid really worked well for me today. I felt and still feel great.

My upper body has gained so much muscle and gained a lot of definition, primarily my arms, shoulders and back are looking more lean. My stomach seems to have gained a lot of muscle, but a good amount of fat is definitely still there. My butt and thighs have remained the same. I am beginning to think that they are my trouble spot. They are big and have a lot of muscle, but there is still a good layer of fat topping that mass off. Overall I am pretty satisfied with my body right now. I see room for improvement most definitely and I am making progress, slowly but surely. It is really about time that I post some pictures up. I will take some over the next couple days and post 'em up over the weekend.
 
Intra Aid Notes: I've definitely decided that 2 scoops of Citrus Burst Intra-Aid is awesome! The flavor is quite good, a very smooth sweet orange taste. It isn't sour at all, like I had expected it to be, but it is very pleasant. My performance is amazing on two scoops as well. I just have spectacular endurance and strength. Today I did amazing during my workout while sipping on this delicious drink.

Another funny thing: The last three workouts I have had someone different come up to me and ask me if I compete or if I am training for a competition. :D It's kinda cool.

Probably because you're a female doing all the power lifts, training heavy, who's in good physical condition and that is RARE. Being a rare breed is GREAT! :D

Because the formula is already perfect the way it is. The mad scientists in the Universal lab have already done the homework for you. All we have to do is sip and enjoy :)

You speak the truth! I told BW for a long time that she would love IA if she actually gave it a thorough trial. I love it when my prophecies come to fruition like this!

The first arm picture was taken in April. Comparing the two I can really see a change. I've gained some muscle and lost some fat, there seems to be an increase in definition, which is exactly what I was shooting for 2-3 months ago.

I was totally stoked about my pull ups! I don't think I would have been able to do so many reps if I had done Dips before hand, like I usually do. Deciding to do Pull Ups before Dips paid off big time. :D

:lol: Thank you. I had a 24 hour fitness employee hit on me yesterday. He complimenting me like crazy, and in ending our conversation he says, "My name is Nathan. I'm the mechanic here and I fix everything, so if you have any equipment giving you any trouble, you just let me know." :lol:

Like I'll be at UA and ask them if they need any help and they go, "No, I'm just here with my boyfriend." - Ummm, I didn't ask you who you were here with, I asked you if you needed any help finding anything. Grrrr.

Lol, well you know that you are unwelcome when a girl makes a comment like that. I usually end up in a 5 minute conversation with the guys who flirt with me, I'm nice to them, but the fact that I have a husband always leaks out somewhere in there. ;)

I often do my best to change that. :p - Not if they're married though...unless they're older, like 40+. For some reason I always have much more fun flirting with them. It's funny how easy it is, but is kind of sad because it becomes apparent how poorly their husbands treat them.

If they easily latch on to anyone that gives them a compliment, it's apparent. If they have a loving relationship with their husband, they wouldn't care what some punk 22yo has to say. I've seen both sides of it.
 
I did front squats for the first time today! I enjoyed them. They seem to work a part of my core that isn't hit by back squats and deadlifts.

front squats are great but soo much harder for me its insane

Wow we have women that lift here all the time. My gym has many girls who compete and train for awesome looking bodies. Girls that can diet correctly and lift.

that's awesome! I wish I saw more of that where I go. Not a single lady in my gym lifts hard and heavy, or looks serious about what she is doing.
 
Well honestly I have found that I look better using lighter weight with more reps. I have gained more muscle and lost more fat than when I went heavy with little reps.

Interesting. For some people that definitely works better. For me it doesn't.

To each their own.

I have no problem with people that do what work for them and offer routines for other people, but I have no patience for people saying their way is the ONLY way. For example, I was speaking with a girl in my class and her personal trainer is real big on the light weight and ass-load of reps. She pushes that on my friend as thought that's the only way for a female to lift, because, well, everyone knows that heavy weight will make you bulky. :18: - Now, her personal trainer is actually very fit and well accomplished in figure and fitness, so she knows what works...for HER.

When I was a trainer, I always started my clients out on heavy weight and less reps first, and if they weren't making the results, I'd change things up a little depending on what their goals were.

There is no one specific method that works for every one, but heavier weight and less reps seems to work more often than the opposite, which is why I started out on that end.
 
Well maybe I am sensitive on this subject. I went from training with powerlifters and looking the same always to training for the way I look. It killed me at first to go lower in weights until I watched muscles change and got the look I wanted all along.

Looking and feeling the way you want is what matters. If higher reps, lower weight is what gives you the physique that you love, absolutely do that! I can imagine it would be difficult to drop your lifting numbers for a better body (I'm glad that I don't have to sacrifice my numbers to look the way I want- I would hate that myself! LOL). I'm glad that you have found what has worked for you. :)
 
I took last Saturday off from lifting, and I felt like today was more of a workout to get me back into the mode of lifting for the week. I didn't feel like my performance was very good, unfortunately. It was just one of those days. I didn't sleep well last night, which I'm sure contributed to my low performance. Next workout will be better.

4x5 Deadlifts :185, 195, 200, 205 lbs x2

5x5 Chin Ups: Body Weight, Negatives during my last set

6x4 Seated DB Press: 35, 40x2, 42.5 lbs

4x13 Leg Extensions: 85x3, 100
