Baby Wifey's Bucket of Happiness

I like how BW waits a while. All of her progress pics show a huge difference. A-holes like me take them multiple x/wk and you can't even tell a difference unless you compare them months apart. Haha.

I haven't made any real fat loss progress since the last time I posted pictures in here. I already know that my diet is the cause. I've been eating high carb most days. :D It has definitely helped my strength and I've maintained or gained very little BF. It has been a nice break. I have begun dropping my carbs down again though, and eating more fats and protein. Yesterday I had 70g of carbs, 40g of which was from low glycemic fruit at breakfast. Workout days will definitely be higher in carbs, but non-lifting days I'd like to keep carbs to a minimum. We'll see how this goes!

You should try doing the TKD approach for a little while and see how you feel. I enjoyed it for a couple and weeks and definitely made some progress in terms of fat-loss. Starting tomorrow I'm doing CKD for the first time. Pray for me.

 TKD could really be something I would enjoy. I'm planning to do CKD with Resolve in mid October. I shall know your pain. LOL.

Haven't posted here for a while. Things have been busy. It seems like Resolve and I are so busy with School/work through out the week that we barely have enough time to spend with one another. :(

I never posted up Saturday's workout. I've started up the same routine as Resolve, and I'm loving it!

5x12 BB Split Squats: 60 lbs

5x12 BW Dips

5x12 Narrow Grip Supinated Pull Downs: 80, 90, 80x2, 70

4x15 Leg Extensions: 85 x3, 100

5x12 BB Curls: 30 lbs
w/ External Rotations: 12.5 lbs

Today I will be lifting again. But only after going to an all-you-can-eat Sushi bar. :D

Nothing wrong with spending a little time building more lean muscle. It will only help you to lean out later on and look even better. Good workin in here BW.

Thanks. It looks like I have a lost a bit of fat on my hips, but my tummy is being quite stubborn. I'm not particularly liking the way my stomach is shaped right now. I may have lost a little abdomen muscle, which has changed the way it's looking. I weighed in at 156 lb today, which is 4 lb lower than usual. Most of it is fat, but I do believe I've dropped a small amount of muscle. Not exactly a good thing. I think that it is primarily due to my eating schedule.

I've never once considered the fact that I may or may not have lost "abdomen muscle." - I pay such little attention to my abs with the exception of "Can I see them?" - I never work them, nor do I really take notice of their size. That's interesting you think you may have lost size in your abdominals.

Lower abdominal fat is always my sticky-point as well. Don't feel alone. I can never seem to get rid of the bottom layer. I'm hoping CKD takes care of it. I've tried basically everything BUT this so far. I think once I start incorporating some cardio, I'm going to try Eviscerate. Probably not for a few more weeks. I want to see what diet-alone will do.

Hmmm. Yeah, tummy fat is stubborn. :lick:

I've gotten my hands on a bottle of Glycobol, so I have incorporated that into my supplements. :) I've been taking two caps before my post workout meal and any other time that I have large amounts of carbs.

Last workout was great. It felt like I hadn't done heavy back squats for a long time.

8x3 BB Squats: 155x3, 160

7x3 BB Bench: 105x3, 115 x4
w/ Cable Bent Rows: 80, 90x2, 100x4

3x3 Leg Curls: 85, 100x2

Yesterday's workout felt okay. Front squats could have been better. I really would have liked to have used more weight on everything, but it wouldn't have been good. Sacrificing form for the numbers is never a smart thing. My lats and biceps are the most sore part of my body. I'm thinking the Pull ups did that!

5x6 Wide Grip Pull Ups: BWx3, Negatives x2

6x6 Front Squats: 95, 100, 105x3, 95

5x6 BB Standing Military Press: 65, 75, 85x3

5x6 Seated Calf Raises: 70 lbs w/ 3 sec eccentric.

She's taller than me. :(

LOL, Yeah I forget that you're a short guy. Ha, no offense. I'm used to being around Resolve who is 6'4", So anyone smaller than 6 feet makes me feel big.

I suppose I am strong Andrew, if you compare me to most women. But most women are complete wimps so that doesn't really mean much. :dunno:

LOL, you are funny hahahaha. How long have you known resolve, you guys seem to have good friendship?

Okay, I haven't been on here for a long time. Internet died at our place for the last few days so I'm at the local library.

Haven't worked out since my last update. I have stopped taking Fenugreek because it may be causing a rash that started up last week. I'm gonna wait for a another week to see if it goes away.

Lifting yesterday felt good. I pushed hard and got through the workout in a good amount of time.

3x8

DB Bench Press: 50 lb
w/ Seated Cable Rows: 100x2, 110 lb

3x8

BB Squats: 155, 160, 165x6

3x8

Leg Curls: 130 lb

Nothing else has changed. I'm back to my Glycergrow,PW,BCAA, dextrose and malto mix intra workout. It really helped fuel me yesterday. :)

I added some creatine into my post workout nutrition yesterday, and it really has seemed to help with my soreness. I'm going to continue doing this. :)

5x6

Front Squats: 95, 105, 110lbsx3
w/ BB Military Press: 85lbs

6x5 Pull Ups

5x6

DB Lateral Raise

Rear Delt Raise

Front Raise

I've been using Creatine post-workout as well. I don't know if it has cut down on soreness or not, but I just felt like sharing. :)

Do you usually do this or was it a once-off? I personally find that I get the best results when I take creatine pre AND post-resistance training (AND on non-resistance training days as well).

i must ask, is there any difference btw during training and post training consumption?

or even pre for that matter...? im asking on a science level what i dont understand and speed of absorption.. :)

I do not consume creatine during training; I only ever train on WATER alone during my sessions.

Whether you use creatine pre or post is not going to affect your overall creatine levels, no; since taking 3g/day is going to get you to your muscle creatine threshold over 28 days (a slower loading process, as opposed to taking 20-25g/day over 5 days before maintaining 2-5g/day) and from then you won't be able to saturate it anymore, with 2-3g/day enough to keep your muscle creatine stores elevated (Burke, et al., 2006; Hultman, Soderlund, Timmons, Cederblad & Greenhaff, 1996).

However, since creatine is a muscle fuel, taking pre and/or during anaerobic and/or high-intensity intermittent training/exercise aids in energy for anaerobic activity and increases buffering of hydrogen ions during such exercise, etc. Taken post-training creatine aids in recovery, and co-ingestion of carbohydrates (which are essential after training) enhances the rate of absorption (Burke, et al., 2006; Green, MacDonald & Greenhaff, 1997).

Everyone will have a protocol that works best for them specifically, since everyone is difference. Some people may only use creatine pre or only post training, and others will not use it at all (i.e. non-responders). Personally, I need to use creatine pre AND post for the best results.

Rosie,
BW just recently started using Cre-Mono again after a long break. She used Neovar for a while, and I plan on returning to that myself when we've used up this kg we've got.

I use it pre- and post-, I think BW prefers it just post. I'll let her answer that for sure.

Our internet at home is down, so we've been a bit AWOL...

All good. I will be using NeoVar Recomped again soon, once I have finished the Anadraulic State...IMO, if one is only going to dose creatine once daily, then POST-training is the best time to dose it.

Resolve answered quite well. I am only doing creatine post workout. :) 5g. I'm really feeling a difference in my performance in the gym and at work. Performance has been my main focus the lately, more so than ever, and creatine does wonders.

I didn't think creatines mattered until I tried Green Mag and realized how much better it worked for me. Trinitine was good too.

Trinitine is VERY well composed creatine product, when released will be stocking on it along Ultima to stack with GLPC, PLCAR, ALCAR, and thiamane.

Okay, things have been crazy. Internet still isn't hooked up at home. Work has been alot, and I'm fighting a bladder/kidney infection. So I haven't been on here lately. This week WiFi should be hooked up though, so I should be on here more often.

I haven't worked out since Last Tuesday. :p Thursday I did Front Squats with 115 for 3x8 which was a PR, but that is all I managed to do for a workout. My back was hurting me pretty darn bad, which was actually my kidney hurting lol. So I called it quits after the squats. I've been giving my body time to fight this infection. I'll probably lift on tue.

Very wise of you to take time off of lifting like that. You will probably benefit from the time off, so enjoy it. :) - I pray you heal up quickly.

Thanks! Yeah, when I did my front squats last Thursday the activity REALLY irritated my kidney, or something, cause the pain was very intense. I just don't want to go through that again!

Thankfully the internet is hooked up now! :D I'm connected to the outside world! :woohoo:

I'm feeling great this morning! I so cannot wait until I get to the gym and lift. Heavy squats just sound so awesome. I popped a caffeine tablet and am beginning to feel energized. Now, back to cooking my oatmeal! :D

Caffeine tablet. lol. That's kids stuff.

Yeah, it's the only stim I have on hand right now. 200 mg of caf will do the trick for now. I've actually been hooked up with a bottle of SV2, but I don't want to start that until I have the log up. I should have it up this week. :D

SV2 is an interesting stim. Mild, but effective. I don't get the stim feeling I normally do, but it does give good sweats and subtle and smooth energy. I prefer something with more of a kick, so that's why I grabbed some E-911.

Hmmm... Interesting. I can't wait to try it. X-Force is normally a staple on my workout days because it provides such strong energy boosts that really help me out at the gym. I look forward to seeing how SV2 compares.
