It's all good, I really don't mind. You guys are at least giving me something to do since I'm not working out. :frustrate

I slept 11 hours last night!!!! :woohoo:

I think I'd have to thank P-Plex @ 50mg, cuz my appetite is back BIG TIME too. :food:

Swelling in my left hand is down considerably. I went to the gym last night to train the gf and decided to give it a quick test run. Did some DB curls and some incline presses and although it hurt a little on the presses, I think I'm gonna go ahead and hit the gym tonight and try and get things rolling again.

Oh, and I (finally) went up in weight a bit this morning. :D

Glad to hear man! Whats the weight now?

Day 33: Tuesday, April 28
Weight: 205.0 (+16.6) :head:

Workout #14 - B1

DB curls: 2 warm-ups @ 20x18, 40x12
Working set with rest-pauses: 60x8 +3 +3 - PR

Up 5 pounds from last time, and another PR. Yeeeeeeeeah, buddy!! I just LOVE doing curls with more weight than the guy next to me is pressing. My hand swelled up a good bit after these, and the bruising (which I believe was caused by testing the waters with incline presses last night) spread a bit, but about 20 minutes later the swelling & bruising subsided. Weird, huh??

Reverse bb curls: 2 warm-ups @ 45x18, 55x12
Working set with rest-pauses: 95x10

No rest-pauses for forearms. I only got 6 reps at this weight last time and they felt heavy as ****, so I didn't go up in weight today, but today they felt pretty light and I was kicking myself for not going up to at least 105. Oh well. Next time, I suppose.

Sled toe press: 2 warm-ups @ 360x15, 540x12
Working set with rest-pauses: 720x8 +5 +4

My calves felt like they were gonna explode today. Holy ****! Seriously. Ouch.

Lying leg curls: 2 warm ups @ 50x18, 70x12
Working set with rest-pauses: 100x8 + 90x3 +3

Up 20 lbs on my working set. I'm still feeling a bit of tension in my left hammy from my injury last fall. I dropped to 90 on my rest-pauses cuz I didn't wanna tweak it and felt like I might at that weight.

Hack squat: 2 warm-ups @ 180x15, 270x12
Working set: 410x2 - PR
Widowmaker: 270x20

I got bold and went up 50 pounds on my working set. I got 2 clean reps, went down for a third and never came back up. Thank God for the safety mechanism on this machine. Man, that **** was heavy. Last time around I did my widow a bit light @ 180 so this week I hit it @ 270lbs. Reps 1-12 were ok, 13-15 were a bit tougher, 16 & 17 sucked, and I almost passed out on my last 3 reps. I was so out of breath by the time I got done.

Notes:

Great workout today. I am pooped. Two more PR's!! Weight finally climbed back up a little today. 11 hours of sleep last night was AWESOME. Lethargy seemed to creep in a bit harder today, though that may have something to do with the 11 hours of sleep. I'm still fighting the urge to take stims aside from my RPM pre-workout. (I don't like stims on a bulk.) I'm gonna ice my hand again, go eat lots of good, clean food, and take it easy tonight. Thursday's workout will really test what my hand is capable of, so if I can make it without problems I will go ahead and come off the anabolics and begin PCT.

So far, so good! :)

Dude is that a BB Hack Squat?...or the machine?

Nooooooo! I'm not that strong.

It's an Icarian machine. It looks kinda like this thing:

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n0Q0X_6eAkI"]YouTube - Plate Loaded Squat Machine - 450 x 10[/ame]

Only a little bit different.

I've never tried BB hack squats, and as much as I want to I just don't think I'll be able to go heavy enough on them. Deads have been causing my back issues lately; I haven't even been able to get a solid warm-up set in @ 225.

I've had a million little injuries over the years, but the one that always comes back to haunt me and bite me in the ass is the broken back. I don't think deadlifts or bb hacks are good exercises for me with my lower back the way it is. And at this point I just don't think I'll ever fully recover from it. :(

Okay I've used those machines.

I'd actually recommend trying BB Hacks. You'd be surprised how much easier they are on your back than you might think. The way the weight hangs, you're really not incorporating your back too much in lifting it...and I only can hit 225x6 on BB Hacks...

You may just want to try a set at 135 and see how you fare. I think you will be pleasantly surprised.

Appreciate the insight! I'm picturing it in my head, and I understand your point. Makes sense. Maybe I'll give them a shot when I start my cruise period and incorporate them in my next round of DC. :)

Thanks, man! I'm kinda nervous... And a little bit scared... I've got a lot to take care of between now and then. But this is definitely a good thing.

I talked to the gf tonight and I think she's gonna move in with me and we'll end up keeping the 2nd bedroom empty as a guestroom. So if any of you ****ers are ever in the area, you've got a place to crash! :D

hypno-toad. can't remember the episode from futurama. i liked "fry and the slurm factory" episode the best - where they find that slurm is made from a queen bug's waste that eats people.

fry : (cracks open a can of slurm and drinks it)
lela : how does that taste
fry : it varies from person to person...

Haha, might take you up on that whichever day is the "grilling day"...

You in DC or somewhere outside?

Haha. Usually it's Sunday. :D The only problem with this place is that since it's a condo we're not allowed to have grills. :( But my folks live about 1 mile away and they have a nice big backyard, a deck, and a sweet grill, so I'll probably just head over there to do my cooking and bring it back to my place.

Seriously though, you guys would definitely be welcome! I wish I wasn't feeling so sick and lethargic when you were in town, Timber, I would've def. come downtown to chill.

The new place will be 20 miles outside of DC in Maryland, right off the highway. Very nice area. :)

Niiice.

Yeah man, I haven't been able to grill in YEARS... Just gotta be creative...

Not by choice. Always on the grind.

How do you handle your diet when you're OOT? What's some restaurants you frequent?

...I love to travel, and I usually stop in a Subway, grab two footlong subs with double or even triple meat, and toss those in my backpack as I go around town. I also keep multiple shakes with me...I've always got a backpack.

When I'm traveling I carry around plenty of the Southern California motto, Land of Fruits & Nuts.

Subway is a staple, I'll also stop in to a GNC or VS and expense a small bag of whey, few bars, couple MMilks - find a store with some nuts...

Other than that - client dinners and the like ' I'll just ask the kitchen to make something off the menu if there are no healthy options.

Finally caught up on this one, how did i miss it.

Shaddow, everything looks solid! Nice numbers and congrats to the condo and PR's!

Soooooooo. Today was supposed to be an off day. I went into the gym to train the gf, and I guess knowing in the back of my head that I'm only planning to be on anabolics for one more day.... I just couldn't help myself... One thing to note is that DOMS have been COMPLETELY non-existent. I've had ZERO DOMS this entire run. Is it the lower volume? Is it the anabolics? I dunno. But it's been on my mind quite a bit.

Nothing too crazy. I did db curls, going up to 65# for 8 reps (even though I just did them @ 60# yesterday). Banged out a couple sets of 20 on the bench @ 135. And I jumped on the leg extension machine to see what I could do. I think the last time I did these I was up to ~230#. I went up to 230 and got 12 EASY reps. Decided to see if I could stack the machine and surprised myself with 8 solid reps @ 300# (the day after setting a PR on hack squats). Call me crazy. It was fun though. :D

Tomorrow is my last day on. I'll be doing my A2 workout - incline bench press, bb overhead press, close-grip smith bench, close-grip pulldowns, & deadlifts - if I can handle them without my back going out on me again. I'll likely just do the deads really light and focus on my form and try and see if I can just get the motion down without throwing out my back.

Time to go eat! :food:

Well apparently DOMS doesn't equal weight-gain.

...Low volume still puts me in DOMStown, so I'm thinking it's just the speedy recovery.

Yeah, it's been crazy. Usually I will have at least some soreness, maybe somewhere in my lats or my pecs, or maybe a little in my traps. Nope. Nothing. Zip, zero, zilch. Not that I'm complaining. It's just... unusual.

It would bother me for sure. I associate DOMS with growth... Then again, you're the punk that just slapped on 12 pounds.

I'm always a little sad if I don't experience me some DOMS. Of course, I'm a sick bitch!! :fool2:
I usually toss in a totally different exercise (not on my list of usuals) during every workout and then blast the Hel out of it!! That usually guarantees some intense soreness!!
Shaddow, you've done an awesome job on this cycle bro. Now kick the living shit outta this PCT!!! :buttkick:
