Day 33: Tuesday, April 28
Weight: 205.0 (+16.6) :head:
Workout #14 - B1
DB curls: 2 warm-ups @ 20x18, 40x12
Working set with rest-pauses:
60x8 +3 +3 - PR
Up 5 pounds from last time, and another PR. Yeeeeeeeeah, buddy!! I just
LOVE doing curls with more weight than the guy next to me is pressing. My hand swelled up a good bit after these, and the bruising (which I believe was caused by testing the waters with incline presses last night) spread a bit, but about 20 minutes later the swelling & bruising subsided. Weird, huh??
Reverse bb curls: 2 warm-ups @ 45x18, 55x12
Working set with rest-pauses: 95x10
No rest-pauses for forearms. I only got 6 reps at this weight last time and they felt heavy as ****, so I didn't go up in weight today, but today they felt pretty light and I was kicking myself for not going up to at least 105. Oh well. Next time, I suppose.
Sled toe press: 2 warm-ups @ 360x15, 540x12
Working set with rest-pauses: 720x8 +5 +4
My calves felt like they were gonna explode today. Holy ****! Seriously. Ouch.
Lying leg curls: 2 warm ups @ 50x18, 70x12
Working set with rest-pauses: 100x8 + 90x3 +3
Up 20 lbs on my working set. I'm still feeling a bit of tension in my left hammy from my injury last fall. I dropped to 90 on my rest-pauses cuz I didn't wanna tweak it and felt like I might at that weight.
Hack squat: 2 warm-ups @ 180x15, 270x12
Working set:
410x2 - PR
Widowmaker: 270x20
I got bold and went up 50 pounds on my working set. I got 2 clean reps, went down for a third and never came back up. Thank God for the safety mechanism on this machine. Man, that **** was heavy. Last time around I did my widow a bit light @ 180 so this week I hit it @ 270lbs. Reps 1-12 were ok, 13-15 were a bit tougher, 16 & 17 sucked, and I almost passed out on my last 3 reps. I was so out of breath by the time I got done.
Notes:
Great workout today. I am pooped. Two more PR's!! Weight finally climbed back up a little today. 11 hours of sleep last night was AWESOME. Lethargy seemed to creep in a bit harder today, though that may have something to do with the 11 hours of sleep. I'm still fighting the urge to take stims aside from my RPM pre-workout. (I don't like stims on a bulk.) I'm gonna ice my hand again, go eat lots of good, clean food, and take it easy tonight. Thursday's workout will really test what my hand is capable of, so if I can make it without problems I will go ahead and come off the anabolics and begin PCT.
So far, so good!
