Day 10
oh, also rombaur chardonnay is pretty intense. it has an almost chewy texture, so its like the white wine most similar to the reds
finally, living in napa is paying off
I would expect no less than such a helpful knowledge from a person who lives right in the midst of all the wineries!
Thanks, you've given me a couple of things to try.
Ultima Update:
1/2 scoop pre-workout and 1/2 scoop intra was again very satisfactory. I did begin to run out of steam by the end of th workout, but I blame that on the record-breaking C&Ps and Narrow-Grip Dec Bench. I mean I pushed HARD today and it wasn't until my last superset of Pulldowns and Lunges that I began to feel any real fatigue at all.
Granted, I was out of breath and then some during my cluster sets of C&Ps, but anaerobic effort is quite different from fatigue. Drive was high - I wanted those PRs and I was confident I'd break them.
Again, recovery was rapid - with supersets I was switching back and forth between movements with under a minute rest. With such taxing compound movements, this was not something I would normally want to do - but I'm shooting for fat-loss, and that means less rest. And Ultima help make that more feasible.
I continue to sweat freaking buckets as I cruise about the gym.
Speaking of buckets; BW got her new log up today - BabyWifey's Bucket of Happiness. Go check it out, cuz that girl's a machine!
Today's Workout:
Cluster Clean and Press: 210 x5 x5 x5 x3 x3 x1 x1 x1
Narrow-Grip Decline Bench: 205 x15 x13 x10 x12 x10
SS'd Seated Calf Raises: 190 (4x15)
Wide-Grip Pulldowns: 210 x15 x13+2 x13+2 x12+3
Reverse Speed Lunges: BW (4x15 per leg)
Reverse Cable Curls: 130 x15 x13 x13 x10 x9
This was a workout where everything seemed to go smoothly. C&Ps were fun though taxing, and 205 was the perfect amount for dec bench. Incidently, as mentioned above, the weight I moved in both of those movements are PRs!
I have Push-pressed more than 210, but never managed a complete clean and press with that much.
However, by the time I got around to pulldowns, my back and arms were already pretty shot, and needed a lighter load than I would have liked. Still, it was more than enough of a stimulus, as my lats even now are telling me of the beating I gave them.
Changing subjects, I have to ask: why overweight morons who have no clue what they are doing think they are qualified to bring in their wife/gf and "teach" her how to lift?
I mean, WTF kind of idiot has his girl do 3 different kinds of pec flies in a workout? Or a workout of nothing but triceps rope extensions and cable curls with so light a weight that she may as well just be swinging her arms about?!
If you don't know enough to get your own stupid lard-butt into shape, you have NO call to attempt to impart your imagined expertise to others.
