BIGGER, FASTER, STRONGER: Snag's Recipe for a [NATURAL] Recomp, Competition Style!

Hahahaaa guys..
All good things must end.. Flip side tho -- others may begin! :)
I'm already planning my next move. Begins Sunday.
4 weeks of hella nutritious (and delicious) food, running my power scheme, sans all supps (need some down time y'know)..
:bruce3:

yes I know. I'm about to go on a pre-contest diet starting in march..for a couple months. enjoy them delicious foods while you can=)

Is that all? My multi-vitamin alone has 11 pills (Animal Pak, 1 of 2 paks I take daily, the other is 8hrs later); then add in 4 Prime, 6 Ultra-40's, 1 Lean Out, 1 L-Carnitine, and 2 fish oil.. I counted up my daily pill intake one time awhile back and it came out to like 186 or something -- and that was before adding in Lean Out, MuscLean, Density and the like, and before I upped my SuperCissus/Prime/PowerFULL regime.
I'm a freakin' junkie. :D
We all have our vices..

Sounds good. A break from supps is a nice feeling mentally; not having to worry about what pill to take when. Enjoy your break

Break ? What's that ?!

Hehehehe!
Well, I still say that because you work hard, you will still look and feel great.

Snag-O-Pimp, you better not fall off of the AM Horse and stop posting like TG!
Fukc face!
:D

HEY!!! :angryfire:
I'm posting again. I took like a week break. Sheez......:sad6:

That was a long week for us TG addicts!! We were jonesing for the bezerker rage...

Quick update for today: I awoke looking pretty full this morning, so I may have to modify my planned attack for today slightly. Probably use the same format as I did yesterday..
Was amazed that my weight was 184.1 upon rising as well! I hadn't even started lowering my water intake (till today), so that came out of nowhere..
Looking fairly decent. I won't be as lean as I had wanted to be, one of these days I want to get down to 3% or so, but I'll be lean enough to show out.

Well there's different school's of thought on that..
For me, I drink 3 gallons every day MON-THUR, then 1 gallon FRI (for SAT show of course). Of that 1 gallon today, 1/2 of it is consumed before 12p, and most of the other half by 5pm. I hold back 14oz for a diuretic right before bed, and a couple ounces to sip on w/ my 3 remaining meals from 5-10pm (gotta wash that food down y'know).
Lotta ppl gradually cut their water over a 2-3 day period; this doesn't work, because the body will adjust & regulate for that, holding as much water in the body as possible by increasing aldosterone levels (thus keeping sodium & water from being flushed out of your system)..
Some ppl don't alter their intake much at all. I find it very effective if done right, but the key is to cut it drastically and as close to the target time as possible.

Yah that's how I do it pretty much ...

The body goes into survival mode rather quickly as far as water retention is concerned. Looking forward to the final pics Snag!!

I'm definitely learning about contest prep in here, Snag. Thanks for the info! I think I may try this for myself some time. Kind of like what you're doing. Maybe do a pose-down with my wife.

...if I ever get one.

So far, so good.. starting to dry up nicely. My Frankenstein mind has to get all invigorated (notice "Igor" is right in the middle of that word, invIGORated, ahaaa) and try some more experimentation here tonight, so I'm gonna try tweaking something, add a little glycerine in to my next 2 meals..
Glycerine, plasma-expander that it is, should draw water into the muscle cells; if there is no h2o coming in from outside sources, then theoretically it should draw water from beneath the skin, so that's what I'm rolling with.

Just in case I mess this up, here's the current state of things..
Catch ya'll on the flip side.

Didn't get as lean as I wanted, figure I needed another week preferably two -- running the Lean Out & MuscLean -- to get into the 3's %-wise. I'm fairly happy with these results tho.
Final review on the products I used coming when I get the chance..
For right now, I'm going out to eat!! :food:

WooooWeeeee! You look tight & condensed, a real good lean and muscular package. You look like a bodybuilder, not just someone who works out. What qualifies that look in my opinion is having a full package; developed upper body AND well developed lower body. Nice work, Snag. Also, you look about 2 shades darker then before.

Overall good job my friend.

Like Volcom said...It's the total package Snag!! You have that in spades. Very impressive log and discipline bubba. I think we all picked up some great insight from this. Have a pizza on me broham!!

Awesome work man looking great

FINAL REVIEW

Hey thanks all around guys, appreciate the words. I certainly didn't get to where I aimed for (best all-time condition), but truly felt I could've with more time. I just got bored with the gig.. Also, I wanted to switch things up (diet & training-wise) and come off all supps for awhile, till I begin another cut-mode. Tennis will be starting soon, so I'll have to stay light for that, don't want any more calf tears going on.. I figured these next 4 weeks would be good timing for a lean-gain phase, less strict diet, before I dial it in again to leanness come April..

It's been a great ride (and a lengthy one, haha); I got some awesome synergy from my chosen supplements, I really liked most everything I ran. The most disappointed I was in the supps was the NxLabs Ripped System (Lean/Ripped/Dry). I thought for a minute the Lean (nighttime formula) might be helping, but nothing really progressed there. The Ripped just sucked, period. Felt nothing from it. And the Dry -- the one thing I actually thought was okay (diuretic for the end of things) -- ended up having a missing cap out of it (wasn't me 'losing it' either, trust me). I know these things happen in mass production, but when you have a large bottle and there's 29 out of 30 pills there for something that you only use for 3 days, it kinda pisses ya off, nah what I mean? Saving grace was I got the Ripped System dirt cheap (like $12.50 or something w/ my GNC discount).
The Plasmavol was cool stuff, I liked this.. problem is, I can't get anymore of it now! Enjoyed it tho..
I ran Diesel Test Hardcore for the first three weeks of this log; I liked it alot, def felt it. This was the only true 'test booster' I used thru the entire time.
Anabolic Switch (MRI) was cool at the beginning, solid product if used smartly; I dropped the NO2 Black probably halfway thru this log. It is what it is -- an overpriced & overhyped supp imo.. but it was included in a 'package' deal, so I used it.
I also dropped Ashwagandha around the midway point I think, just ran out of it & didn't replace. I love this stuff tho..
All the BCAA's I used, were good I felt; I really didn't notice any difference between mass-BCAA dosing w/ standard 2:1:1 ratio, and raising the leucine content. I probably wouldn't use the Leucine XT again, not a fan of the caffeine (or malto) in it. Leutor-70 was cool. PurpleWraath remains my fav in this segment (altho like I said, Density is top-notch, and I still like Xtend & Core ABC as well)..
The Resveratrol/DIM combo, well I s'pose it had some synergism going on. There were periods I went thru where I was drier than others, but I have to attribute that to diet more than anything. I really can't attribute much of an 'anti-E' effect to this combo. Perhaps the Res boosted my test..
The big synergism was, quite honestly, in the Prime/PowerFULL stack (and utilizing AP & Pslin along with solid food/powders). I've been on Prime enough to know how I feel when that comes into play -- the alpha-male feeeling/mentality I get from that stuff is off the chain, as is strength and recovery. So this feeling that I can't quite describe, it's the same thing I went thru last yr in my prep, with the same combo of supps. SuperCissusRx did it's job as usual -- I once again feel my tendons & joints are sheathed in steel, despite beating the hell outta myself; I've also had no issues whatsoever with my calf (torn last yr) or shoulder/pec area. I noticed this alpha-male (for lack of a better word) feeling rise when I started experimenting with heightened doses of Prime toward the end; this last week, I have felt very God-like (no blasphemy intended).. The USP stack has once again aided my efforts to produce notable results.
As for 'final crunch-time' dialing it all in, I wish I would've started the Beverly products a week earlier than I did. I noticed rapid changes immediately upon implemeting the Lean Out and MuscLean, and I def feel the Density is a unique & quality amino. As always, Ultra-40 Liver tabs remain a staple for me. This is like food -- can't do w/o it.

So, if I had it to do over again, I'd have run Recreate all the way thru, and added the Bev products for the last 3 weeks or so -- as well as running this for the 10-12 weeks that I should've been had I done a 'for real' contest prep mode. I always have a tendency to short-cut things.. :D
I also loved Jack3d (gotta spell this differently now I guess), it was great all the way thru. Tried a couple things in it's place on occasions and things just weren't the same.

And that wraps up the Storm. Thanks to everyone for rolling with me, appreciate all the feedback & support. And hopefully I've shown you guys some insight into a few things you'll try out for yourselves..

BIGGER..FASTER..STRONGER.. and out. :usa2:

What did you have to eat?!

Hmm.. well took the fam out to Pizza Hut for lunch (pan of Tuscany Lasagna w/ garlic breadtsicks); had to work at GNC for the closing hrs today, snuck out @5p and went next door to Subway for a footlong steak&cheese; then just now coming home, picked up a Bacon Bleu (or something like that) and a Jamocha shake from Arby's (and ate half my kids' curly fries on the drive back, hehehe).. not to mention eating a couple bars while at work (Promax has these tasty little mini-bars out now, the peanut-butter ones are to die for!), as well as a couple protein shakes (Muscle Milk + bananas) and a PB&J sandwich.. I gave myself one more day to chow down, so tomorrow I'm grooving on Red Lobster (Lobsterfest is going down right now, yum!), taking my daughter out to KFC (her pick) for lunch and my son to Golden Corral (his pick) for dinner. Then it's back into my own kitchen again Monday, where I'll cook up some more 'waist-friendly' items than these and get things back on track.. :D

Consistently hard work will consistently deliver great results :D

:box: Snag !

Thanks for sharing your journey with us, you certainly taught a stubborn Dragon a few things here ;)

Lead By Example !

Now, back to the start of this log, I'm sure I missed a few "tricks" ...

I agree 100% with you buddy. I learned soo much from this log. I WILL be subscribing again to the next one Snag !

You may have not gotten as lean as you aimed for but without a contest to go too what would have been the point. I always found if you do your best early in the season, people tend to fade as the season progresses. Next time you'll get leaner and better. It was a great run though, awsome fullness. If you can remain that full when you get hyper-lean your going to blow people away!!

Thanks for your help and example, this was a great log and I am glad to have been a part of it.

Thanks fellas..
Just a post-apocalyptic w/e entry: after the feeding frenzy with the fam (Golden Corral sucked btw), back to some normalcy.. breakfast today was 2 scoops protein powder, 8oz strawberries; postworkout nutrition was 1 packet Cream of Wheat, 8oz strawberries, 2 scoops protein. Will have some homemade chili w/ salad for 2 meals, and protein shakes for other 2 meals today as I transition into my solid nutrition plan. Looking to maintain @3500cals, utilizing a 40/40/20 split.
Workout was great, sans supps: pushed some heavy incline DB, 8 sets of 4-6 reps, ss w/ 8 sets of 6 reps on incline DB curls, finished with some weighted abs. Felt good to get back into it.. hitting legs tomorrow, squats & deads.
