Si Señor..
Celiac Disease, gluten intolerance or other food allergy-restricted diets need not be enjoyment-restricted diets.
Celiac Disease sufferers cannot tolerate a protein called gluten "gliadin", which is found in wheat, rye, barley, oats, and spelt. When people with celiac disease eat foods containing gluten, their immune system responds by damaging the villi – the tiny, fingerlike protrusions coating the inside of the small intestine. The villi allow nutrients from food to be absorbed into the bloodstream. Without functioning villi, a person can become malnourished.

Individuals with Celiac Disease, gluten intolerance and other food allergies and intolerances require high quality, good tasting, and gluten-free foods to live a quality healthy life.

However, removing gluten has in the past, reduced food quality and enjoyment.

Gluten gives bread its elasticity and its chewy texture by trapping the gases that are released during fermentation in the dough so the bread is able to rise before it is baked. Once gluten is removed from dough, the resulting bread can be sticky, dense, and unappealing.

Our gluten free bread products (usually sold in the frozen section), are specifically designed to be moist and flavorful, for example, our gluten free breads have the same moisture content – between 38% and 40% – as conventional bread. We are able to achieve this through our exclusive baking techniques. Countless hours of research and development are behind every Food For Life gluten free product.

Food For Life offers a wide variety of delicious gluten free products, including our new Sprouted Organic Corn Tortillas, Brown Rice Tortillas and two new Yeast Free Gluten Free Breads. All of our Gluten Free products are made with natural and carefully inspected ingredients.

Experience the Gluten Free Difference.

Snag, your meals look awesome and thanks for the info on Ezekiel bread. I'll have to pick some up one of these days.

I'm feeling one of those humanitarian days happening again..
My wife sent me this e-mail this morning, and I thought it was very cool, so I'll share:

His name was Fleming, and he was a poor Scottish farmer. One day, while trying to make a living for his family, he heard a cry for help coming from a nearby bog. He dropped his tools and ran to the bog..

There, mired to his waist in black muck, was a terrified boy, screaming and struggling to free himself. Farmer Fleming saved the lad from what could have been a slow and terrifying death.

The next day, a fancy carriage pulled up to the Scotsman's sparse surroundings. An elegantly dressed nobleman stepped out and introduced himself as the father of the boy Farmer Fleming had saved.

'I want to repay you,' said the nobleman. 'You saved my son's life.'

'No, I can't accept payment for what I did,' the Scottish farmer replied waving off the offer. At that moment, the farmer's own son came to the door of the family hovel.

'Is that your son?' the nobleman asked.

'Yes,' the farmer replied proudly.

'I'll make you a deal. Let me provide him with the level of education my own son will enjoy If the lad is anything like his father, he'll no doubt grow to be a man we both will be proud of.' And that he did.

Farmer Fleming's son attended the very best schools and in time, graduated from St. Mary's Hospital Medical School in London, and went on to become known throughout the world as the noted Sir Alexander Fleming, the discoverer of Penicillin.

Years afterward, the same nobleman's son who was saved from the bog was stricken with pneumonia.

What saved his life this time? Penicillin.

The name of the nobleman? Lord Randolph Churchill .. His son's name?

Sir Winston Churchill.

Might as well put an update in here as well [back to the task at hand]..
Weight up to 195.6 this morning, still looking solid, belly is a little larger than I'd like but overall I'm pretty happy with this food-fest, weight's being distributed pretty well, muscles are full.
Will update with leg pic later when I'm home from work.
I was thinking about toning the intake down around the 20th, tapering down till April 1st when I'll cut again..
Really liking the Freak workout; it's simple & very few exercises, but very effective -- and most definitely difficult! :dead1:

YOU DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT EZEKIEL BREAD!! Aye Cabron! It's not the best tasting stuff, but man is it healthy!
I knew of it, and I'd heard people talk about it, but I'd never really heard specifics with regard to it's make up, protein content, etc. Sounds pretty fabulous.

Mid non-cycle update pics. 2 weeks left.
I did add in some HMB today.. I've never had much success with this supp, but I got it on the cheap today and figured wth..

Ahahaaa, you would notice that Boltster, wouldn't you?
Nah, GameCube & original XBox is just fine for my kids. I refuse to shell out any more $ for those things..rather have them read a book, or get outside & play. I used to be heavy into TimeSplitters (had my whole family into it for awhile, wife included!), but that was couple yrs ago.

I am just messing around...ya its partially bc i am without an xbox at the moment...looks like its time for me to just read my text books and comic books...and i hope that doesn't make me a nerd :o

Kids would be way better off if they still did these things. When i was young I was either on my bike or outside doing something in my yard or on the boat. I never watched tv whe I was that age. Alot better off than how alot of kids are now. The video games and cable are why we have such a obesity epidemic. imo

There is no TV in my house. My kids do go out and play because I take them out (good cardio )

TV will turn children into mindless drones. :bandit:

I used to play Counter-Strike and Tribes online all the time when I was 14-16, and played lots of video games when I was younger, but I kind of quit all of that after a while. Being healthy just kind of transformed me in general. It became more than just working out or eating right...it's definitely a lifestyle.

While I'll agree this is definitely a small cause of that effect, there is much more detrimental to this activity than that. I'm not anti-gamer or anything, but the extent to which it can be taken is truly a waste..
More importantly, the content of some of these games (same as in the media, newspaper, hell even regular TV these days) breeds shitty morals & ethics. I grew up on Pac-Man and Pong, Donkey Kong..now there's first-person shooters, blood, gore & violence. Grand Theft Auto -- are you kidding me? And I haven't even seen anything they've come out with real recently..I can only imagine. Just like society in general, these games reflect our indifference to negative influences..

^^^

All right, I'll quite showing my age and pipe down.. :D

Mid non-cycle update pics.
Damn, I guess I should clarify this.. :sigh:
I just got a PM from someone who asked me if I 'cycled'.. :sigh:
While I have made my stance clear on that issue thruout this thread, I can notice now how my poor choice of words there may have opened this up..
So, for clarification: NO! What I meant by 'non-cycle' was the 1-month period that I am running without any supplementation -- no AP, no Pslin, no preworkout supps, no creatine, etc., etc., etc...
As opposed to, Asteroid Stack cycle or some such set-up.
I am supp free..except for the HMB I added today! ;)

You speak the truth, the guy is unreal...
WORD! :D Appreciate the compliments brothers, means a lot.

Casey, bro I never saw your stats before..I knew you were a big dude, but 276? Sheesh..

And Lungz -- check this out man, I saw the most horrible thing last night. I was watching Metallica Icon on MTV for a bit last night, they had some all-star guests performing covers in tribute (Staind did so-so on an accoustical version of 'Nothing Else Matters').. but get this: they brought SnoopDogg out to sing 'Sad But True'.. :scared: Man it was just awful. I like Snoop (I do like my rap), but he has no business whatsoever trying to roll with some metal. I had to turn the channel after that one..

Oh, I know! I had to turn the TV off at that point.
Metallica should have protested the show; they would have back in the '80's without hesitation.

Ahh, shoulda known you'd be watching too!
I didn't really care for Avril Lavigne's performance either..or Korn (but I'm not a fan of those guys).. Nobody can do a Metallica song right except for Metallica themselves.

Indeed. I was disappointed when the show first aired several years back... I mean, have more kick ass bands covering their songs, not whomever is "IN" at the time.

Nice work man. This past w/e a guy came into my GNC shop, picked up some USP stuff and mentioned he was running the Harris carb-cycling format, so it was cool to kick it with him and know what he was talking about! He was about 280..you power guys just amaze me.

Yeah, Harris is from Michigan so I am sure there are a lot of his followers up in your area. The Six-Pack stack + Jack3d and P-slin fit the layout excellently, IMHO.

o, and :spam:

One thing I noticed with Ezekiel bread...keep it in the fridge. It will mold up quick otherwise.

Thanks for the tip

Freezer is the best imo. Thats were i saw big jay keeping it so if i do that i can add like 20 pounds just from keeping it in the freezer! SWEET

Freezer, definitely! You don't even need to thaw it out. Just break off a piece or two or however many you need and toast it...Post-workout I add some honey to it. :)

Fruit and Ezekiel bread is currently my only whole-food carb sources (WMS intra-wo).

So that is Jay's secret... I don't like toast so no freezer for me.

LOL..dudes, you keep the loaf in the freezer (just like when you buy it) till you're ready to open it up, then you keep it in the fridge.

Yup, running that stack right now doooooood..
and lookie at the results!

*The above statement was totally false and fictitious.
