BIGGER, FASTER, STRONGER: Snag's Recipe for a [NATURAL] Recomp, Competition Style!

Are you still posting or is this an official weaning off of the logging teet?

Hahaaaa, nice. I'm wrapping this up, just tying up loose ends.
The plan for the next 4 weeks has been laid out, not gonna keep logging it; I might drop back in after the 4-week period tho just to throw up an update shot, let everyone know I haven't fallen off the face of the Earth.. :D
No plans for any other logs right now, but I'll be around, popping my head in everyone else's logs and keeping up-to-date on everybody's progress.

Ya i have never liked golden coral as a buffet myself...we got a nice buffet in town tho i hit occasionally :)

My son's been wanting to go there for awhile, and I gotta admit the commercials they been showing for the seafood (crabcakes, shrimp, etc.) looked mighty fine, but it was horrible. All the shrimp (coconut, mini, big) tasted the same, like they were all cooked in some nasty week-old oil or something. The crabcakes were awful; the deep fried fish tasted like the shrimp.. very disappointing. Actually made me kinda sick last night.
I did enjoy my w/e excursion overall tho.. :)

Glad you enjoyed everything tho after finishing up the prep!

AWESOME log Snag. I really learned alot and reading your log helped keep me on track. Enjoy the next 4 weeks and come back BEASTLY!!! You did a great job with log and I really look forward to your return. Thanks for all the help.

Thx bro, glad you enjoyed.. looking forward to seeing you tear your own prep up!
Just a lil pic to let you guys know I didn't damage myself too much over the w/e; feeling good after a pullup/dip/DB military press session this morning, weight at 188.8 upon rising (eight's are wild, haha)..

Mmm buffets. The best $50 I ever spent was at Pebble Beach Golf Course, their Sunday brunch buffet. Was looking at their golf course, spotted this awesome buffet, and had to have a go. I've never been sooo full in my life, but it the food was unparalled. Omelets with everything and anything, dungeness crab legs, perfect pork and beef, man I could go on, but it was heavenly. And they don't kick you out, arrive early and have breakfast AND lunch, all the while enjoying the classic view of the 17th hole on the terrace. Ah good memories!

Anyways see you around on the forums Strag , and excellent log

In Taiwan, they don't kick you out of buffet's either and you're allowed to smoke inside, so my cousin and his friends would go to a buffet in the AM, smoke, hang out and refeed for up to 8 hours.

Incline DB Curls 12x6
[alternating sets, roughly 30sec rest between each]

Giant sets... I have a love hate relationship with those. I love the pump but hate the feeling that I may never get my wind back from the previous set...:18:

Have in the past, been awhile tho. I utilized DB jump squats off the floor during this prep couple weeks back. I might start incorporating box jumps again soon tho, nice suggestion.
I love explosive movements. And plus, the core/ab's love them!

This meal never ever gets old..
Cooked the rice in with the mix at the end, instead of just pouring the stir-fry over the rice on my plate as usual. Tasty stuff..

Made this batch w/ 1 TBS coconut oil (instead of olive oil), seemed to retain a bit more moisture. No rice this time. Told ya this dish never gets old! I'd eat this meal once every day if I could..

OMG, that is some squid love'n!!

Yessir! :food:

Just a notation.. decided to up the cal intake to 5k for a few days, this will accomplish two things:
1) adding in another feeding & expanding the cals will rev up the metabolsim for when I start cutting again, and
2) I am now noticing a lag in recovery time (sans supps for almost 2 weeks now) and a slight decline in general strength, so a little food boost will do well to combat this.
..and 3), cuz I want to! :D gonna do my best to add some lean muscle during this time.. :dl:

I've noticed a lag in recovery myself, so is a food boost the answer?

Nothing more naturally anabolic than good ol' food..
Esp when there are no supps in play for recovery (creatine, glutamine, aminos, etc.) right now, I really need to pay attention to my food intake.
But absolutely -- the more food you can consume (to a point), the better you can recover..

Lookn real good man! The food looks :food: too :rubs tummy in circular motion:

Snags could be the official Anabolic Minds master chef

All of these food pic's look like the're straight out of a cookbook !

I like how you make your adjustments - all to keep the body guessing, huh?

Snag is a cerebral-giant! He has an abundance of information and tricks to help all of us out.
That's just the truth. The proof is in the pudding... and I like pudding! (No sugar added, of course) ;)

Yup.. The body is an extremely adaptive organism, and I believe it best to continually confuse it.

Thanks for the props bro, appreciated. Cerebral-giant sounds pretty cool!
Y'know, it's just that I've been doing this awhile, and I've experimented with a lot of differrent things..there's no doubt I've developed my own way to do things -- from incorporating a lot of different ideas from a lot of different ppl, and most importantly, not being afraid to challenge the 'normal' or 'common' wisdom on how to do things. While there is a ton of good info out there (and a lot on this forum as well), there is also a ponderous amount of misinformation out there too. I've just been around long enough to sift thru some of the bullshizz is all. :D

Oh, and I like pudding too Lungz -- have I laid out the recipe for Beverly protein pudding yet? Pretty simple:
2-3 scoops Ultra Size or UMP
just enough water to mix it up nicely
put in freezer for 30min or so
mmmmmm...

For all my food fans out there: not much in the way of degree of difficulty here, but a damn fine meal..
1 can Albacore solid tuna (in water of course)
2 TBS salsa
1 whole egg + 2 whites
2 pieces toasted Ezekiel
2 cups broccoli

It's my 'moderate intake' day, down to 3500 cals today (7 meals, 500cals per).
I've restructured my eating habits in the last few days, trying to disperse calories more evenly. So instead of 700cal meals 7x daily, I'm now eating every 2hrs, about 550cals per feeding (9x daily). It's fun..the unreal part of it, you wouldn't think eating every 2hrs you'd still be hungry, right?
Ha, not the case..

No, I get mine at Trader Joe's in Atlanta. There's also a natural food store here that sales the regular loaf, but not the Cinnamon and raisin.

Ah, good to know... I was about to walk in the local Pathmark tomorrow after class and ask if they carried it.

Yah I have been wondering about that bread ... always meant to google it, as I have always avoided bread.

Yeah me too DW. From 2004 to last yr, I ate bread only on a handful of occasions. Then I discovered the Ezekiel (gotta give props to Jay Cutler for this one).

Yah I knew you would be against bread so I knew that this bread had to be something special... I just have to find a health food store that has it.

There's no flour; just gool old sprouts.

I love gool sprouts! Tasty..yet spooky. :poke:

Seriously, it's good stuff, perfect for the bodybuilder.

Taken from the Food For Life website:
Ezekiel 4:9® Organic Sprouted Whole Grain Products

Ezekiel 4:9® Organic Sprouted Whole Grain Products
Inspired by the Holy Scripture verse Ezekiel 4:9., "Take also unto thee Wheat, and Barley, and beans, and lentils, and millet, and Spelt, and put them in one vessel, and make bread of it..."

Ezekiel 4:9® Organic Sprouted Whole Grain Products are:

Flourless,
Organic,
Complete Protein,
and Sprouted Whole Grain
We discovered when these six grains and legumes are sprouted and combined, an amazing thing happens. A complete protein is created that closely parallels the protein found in milk and eggs. In fact, the protein quality is so high, that it is 84.3% as efficient as the highest recognized source of protein, containing all 9 essential amino acids. There are 18 amino acids present in this unique bread – from all vegetable sources – naturally balanced in nature.

Ezekiel 4:9® Bread, made from freshly sprouted organically grown grains, is naturally flavorful and bursting with nutrients. Rich in protein, vitamins, minerals and natural fiber with no added fat. Try it served warm to release its exceptionally rich nutty flavor.

Can't remember if I put that in earlier or not..
