DAY 42:
This has come a long way. I've been continually dosing the YG at ~580mg per cap, and one cap 10mins before my oatmeal breakfast (80g Complex Carbs), my PWO Meal (~80g Carbs, mostly complex from sweetpotatoes beans, etc) and with a meal around 5-6pm that has atleast 60g carbs. I've been eating about 300-500cal over maintenance on most days, with an extra 300-500cals depending on my workouts that day.
As far as bowel movements, I've definitely noticed some patterns. If I take in <35g of fibre the day previous, about 20 minutes after finishing my massive bowl of porridge I will find I have some soft stools. I suppose if I had very little fiber I might get it even softer, but I usually get about 40g+ of fiber daily so I just have a sizeable dump after breakfast, not a cause for concern at all.
The main issue is fat gain; I am having another body analysis done on Saturday, so I'll have my % then. I stopped taking creatine 2 weeks ago so I lost a bit of water weight so I can't just go by that, so I will update you guys on that. As far as strength goes, I think it is pretty independent of YG which is just a nutrient partitioner, but I've had some decent gains in the gym. I'll see how my squat is today, but overall everything is going well. Personally I need a fair bit of carbs to keep myself energized so I really like taking YG with my carbs.
Can I say YG "blocks the fat cells" from getting glucose and shuttles it all to my muscles cells? Well I'm slightly skeptical, but I think it does help to some extent. On my off days, I feel that my large carb meals don't stick on me like they do w/out YG. I know when I initally started this log, people advised me to double up on my dosage to about 1g. I still have a bunch of caps with 590mg in them, but I might try doubling it up to 1g per meal for a week or two and see how it goes. I still have a fair bit of YG left so lot's of time to experiment, and I might be getting some more with my Christmas order since it's only $30 for 150g which lasts almost 3months at this rate! I'm looking into getting some corosolic acid to get even closer to the AP formulation, but NP doesn't carry it yet. I will try and keep this updated every couple of days still , exams are almost over now
