Supps have come a long way. Among the old-timers, who remembers MLO Egg Protein in the stylish blue metal coffee can? It was fifteen years ago, I was a broke student and damn if I was going to throw away five pounds of protein. I think that crap cost more than protein now. It was a pleasant chalky blend of puke and acid. You could throw in a liter of ice cream, half-a-field of strawberries and it still didn't help the taste. Blend the concoction for twenty minutes - it didn't matter. Good ol' clumps of swamp water. Digesting a tractor tire was easier than that crap. I still bought loads of the garbage, cause it was the cheapest protein around.
That being said, Weider's Muscle Builder powders made that MLO junk look like nirvana...
