Very interesting. I didn't know you could get a major in something like that. Are you planning to go to med school with this or looking into grad school?BS in Medical Laboratory Sciences. I recently specialized to hematology/oncology. Great thread idea!
Lol, I can imagine what the MS is in. But anyways, great to see another biochemist. I knew there were some here, but I was wondering where they were all hiding.BS- Biochemistry
MS- Coercion/Racketeering/Larceny
PhD-Biophysics/Biochemistry
In reality, that's how it is in most schools now. Bio now has such a strong influence with Molecular bio it's hard to get away from. You now have to purposefully get a degree that avoids it (like ecology) to not have molecular biology heavily influence the curriculum in a biology degree.Very interesting. BS - Chemistry with a Specialization in Biochem
BS - Biology (unofficially molecular biology, but my school doesn't give those out so it's just bio)
I was going to say, there's also neurobio, but perhaps that's part of the cognitive science major. But yeah, that's so true. To me, that's what makes biology biology, but I often find myself needing to differentiate myself from the ecology/enviro people when talking about biology to others. In reality, that's how it is in most schools now. Oh man administration. My mom has her masters in elementary Ed and man it's a stressful job. Though the vacation time is good. Hell I'm a teacher in japan and I think I might be one when I go back home to Hawaii lol. Might end up being my career haha. Even though my major is mainly finance and loan/mortgage banking.BS in Criminal Justice
MS Secondary Ed
MS Ed. Leadership
Currently a school administrator. I have looked at Ed.D programs, but I think I am going to wait until my daughter is much older.
Your opportunities are going to be broader with that major though.I have a General Business degree. I wish I majored in a scientific field.
