First of all I ran into the same situation as last year I was the only one over 45 which is the Masters.. They changed my category to accomodate a 44 year old so here I was again behind the 8 ball... But I was not the same lame old fugger I was last year!! I watched the guy practice posing and I knew if I could come in strong I could get him.!! I swallowed a couple scoops of N2KTS and some creatine nitrate and went to work... I got a great pump and found a place on the backstage wall where I could do some really good pullups...
On stage I purposely delayed hitting my poses to guage crowd reaction and I know I was getting most of the response and it was the women that were responding.. cool, I know I posed well and my arms and legs were much bigger than his...I milked the crowd for all it was worth and hoped for the best.
Now it just so happens that my wife was sitting behind the judges and she heard them say to the guy who picked up the results that it was not a unanomous decision .. damn I knew it was going to be close!!
Turns out he got the decision and he went to win the overall ... and I know if I would have won I would have won the overall as the masters was the strongest division... I was big I was lean and striated and I posed like an animal.. I have no regrets...
There were some women behind my wife that were catcalling me, my wife turned around and said hey that's my husband, the girl said well he's still hot and I'd take him home lol he won the show I won the ladies... oh and there was a woman judge so I am guessing that's where the vote came from... I feel really good about that and at 53 I almost stole the whole show!!
