Volcom's Optimus PRIME Log

I saw some Tilapia for cheap at my Albertson's, I don't know any good fish recipes other then the Asian marinade of soy sauce and vinegar (don't know it till you've tried it).

I just buy blackened seasoning and dust it over the top with some EVOO spray as I'm pan-searing the tuna. I had my share of Tilapia over the Summer. Never again will I stoop to that level of fish. I'm spoiled now. Snapper, Tuna, Amberjack, Grouper...

The only fish I eat are sushi, which I haven't had in awhile due to the whole white rice thing. I think I've grown disgusted with Salmon Steaks, I had a phase where I was in love with it, but then I killed it to no end.

I won't lie, battered, deep fried fish fillet's beat out Sushi in flavor in my opinion, but damn, that's the fatty of the fatty meals.

Someone had deep fried fish fillet's at the office here this week, and with ketchup which is a combination I actually like, and man, my chili was smelling and looking awfully weak next to it. I might have salivated onto my shirt.

sansai has a brown rice option for sushi. surprisingly, they have decent sushi. i recommend the salmon or shrimp roll with a side of chicken.

PROBLEM SOLVED.

Quite literally. Fed by chickens running across wire taking dumps in the tilapia tanks. Blech!

So your saying that Talapia is a Chickenshiit fish....

Seriously though it was high end Tuna that I had problems with toxins. I almost had to pull out of my contest as everything started going right through me. Talapia saved the day...

My standard rule is that if you did not personally make everything in it [within reason, you obviously do not farm your own Bok Choi] then do not eat it.

whats the difference in PRIME and DTHC? both tribulus correct?

Mullet can answer this one better then I can, but PRIME uses a different quality or type of trib. From personal experience with both products, PRIME offered a strength benefit like no other. DTHC offered more of a libido boost and aggression, but the strength boost in comparison to PRIME in my own experience isn't even close.

serious? im gonna have to be a d1ck and ask for some proof. i love sansai as much as bodybuilding. almost.

kidding of course. where did you hear/read that from?
It's in the ingredient listing on the fresh sushi I buy at Publix. It's made fresh right there, so it's not like packaged sushi or anything.

i wonder if all places do that. ive never read hfcs on ingredient listings for sushi around here. ill have to look into this. thanks for the heads up IC.

Soap box continued.
Bottom line, Samuel prefers, excels and responds best to higher intensity, as oppose to higher volume lifts.
Thunder does also!!! :hammer:

My friend Zak Oles won his pro debut MMA fight last night. His opponent was a popular guy named Hernandez, who sold 300 tickets to what seemed to be exclusively cholos. Apparently, the last time Hernandez was at this venue and lost, his cholo fans caused s riot, so we were warned and prepared to have to get into a big fight if Zak won and the cholos went crazy. Our guy won and although there was some face to face confrontations directly afterward, security was quick to get involved.

Second round, crucifix ground and pound. Referee stoppage, go Zak.

Beastly !!!!!!!!!!

I'm with ya, man. Had a couple chicken breasts myself about an hour ago. I'm taking off training until the 14th. Doing some carb depletion and recovery for a week, then I start the cycle.

Behind The Neck, Bodyweight Pull Ups
10 reps x 3 sets

Behind The Neck Hammer Lat Pull Downs
180lbs x 10 reps
200lbs x 8 reps
220lbs x 8 reps
240lbs x 6 reps

Behind The Neck Lat Pull Downs, end of the bar wide grip
150lbs x 10 reps
150lbs x 10 reps
160lbs x 8 reps
170lbs x 6 reps

Behind The Neck Lat Pull Downs, neutral grip
150lbs x 8 reps
150lbs x 8 reps
160lbs x 7 reps

I was in a "mood" and felt like doing these. I can pull a lot more weight with front pull downs, but I feel too much back retraction going on, as oppose to a vertical up & down lat resistance, so I prefer behind the neck pull down movements. I have my row days to stimulate retraction and thickness. I've decided to go back to my back split of row days and pull days, so I want to keep my pull downs very concentrated. There's no room in behind the neck pulls for leaning back and turning a vertical resistance into a vertical/row/retraction. I've not abandoned front pulls, I still enjoy those, I usually mix both fronts and rears on pull days, and will mostly likely continue to do so, but today I was excited to be able to do behind the neck BW pull ups with such ease, which I could not do at 215lbs, so I went a bit over-board, but loved it!

I was wondering when the next log would be up. You know I'll be there.

Ya, I'm trying to detox for a week or so. No supplements (other than protein powder) or stimulants, starting today. I'll be spending the time doing school work, fixing my diet up, and tweaking my training routine. I'd like to have everything 100% ready to go for my next log.

Good call on the detox. I was training every day for 3 weeks, with 3 fasted cardio sessions/week and it burned me out. Took Wed & Thurs off, and still need more time off. I just got my JP8 & Jacked as well, but taking a bit of time off from stims as well; my finger is still pretty painful although I took the splint off, so its not like I can do any deadlifts or cleans for another few weeks atleast :( :dl:

Whats the cycle going to be IC? What area of the country are you in btw? You looked kinda familiar in some of your pics.
Florida panhandle.

It will be MMV2/Anadraulic State, along with some other junk. AP, P-Slin, Super Cuts 3 (no, not the hair salon), Adipo X, Super Cissus, bob loblaw, more stuff probably, I don't know.

I'd like to try some of those pre-workout drinks, but I'm not much for powders pre-wo. That's why I loved the White Flood tablets. Those things were awesome. I'd like to give the Jacked + SS a try, but (1) I don't need to be any hornier than I currently am, and (2) I don't really see what's so amazing about Jacked...JP8 looks pretty intense, though. Definitely on a completely different level over Jacked. I'm stoked to be trying Anadraulic State, but I'll be sipping a scoop intra-wo rather than using it pre-wo...I may even add some WMS to my IWO drink and ditch the fasted sessions...I may start may log tonight so I can get ideas from everyone...Unless of course anyone wants to shoot me PMs with opinions. :D

I think that I already noted that I hit 199lbs this weekend, i think I'm at the point where a 1lb a week loss would be a good thing. I appreciate everybody's help with diet guidance and everything else. I think it's safe to say that this particular log has served it's purpose in full. I think it's time to close this sucker.

I may log T-911 when it's time, but for now, I'm wrapping things up. Though I've already written a review on PRIME, I'll state again that for me, PRIME has been the most effective and notable strength gaining supp I've used.

I'll see you all in your own logs. I'm not taking a sabbatical from AM, just closing down shop. Thanks again to everybody for guiding me down the right path for a healthy and effective cut, which I will continue.

[initiating unsub sequence, this log will blow up in 5 seconds, 4, 3, 2...]

what bf you think youre at?

Thanks everybody, I'll definitely continue to kill it.
