Volcom's, Controlled Labs' - Look good in dem BLUE GENE(s), Sponsored Log

I'm only a little more then half way through my 30 day sponsored log of Blue GENE, however, as the full effects of Blue GENE have just recently began to truly kick into gear for me, I've been so impressed by the positive strength and endurance effects, that I decided that I will continue with Blue GENE for the complete 60 day run. Of course the latter half of this run will be on my own accord.

I've just ordered a bottle of Blue GENE from NP and to add some lemon juice & chillies, dash of salt & pepper to the equation, I also ordered a bottle of Controlled Lab's, Blue UP, thus, I have dubbed the Blue GENE & Blue UP combo, my Blue Balls Stack, because the Blue GENE in of itself has made me Randy beyond belief and the test increasing effects of Blue UP will only intensify the Randy'ness.

One thing I need to seriously compliment Controlled Labs on, is their uber convenient dosing schedule. Blue GENE requires just ONE dose a day, Blue UP, also ONCE a day! For someone as busy as I am, that is a friggin God send.

Therefore, following my 30 day sponsored completion with written review and hopefully some video performance comparison, I will continue my Blue Balls stack in this log, with perhaps a 60 day video strength comparison and a second full write up

Now back to the regular programming.

P.S. I'm taking my younger brother and his friends to a concert tonight. Some power metal band from Europe called, Nightwish. Don't know who they are, but its my last gift for him before he goes off to UC Irvine.

Great stack bro!!! I really can't wait to see these stacked :D *RR is excited* :woohoo::dance:

on the topic of that food thread proposed, people should make cooking videos.

also, we should hold regional anabolic minds eating contests. or cook offs even!

That would be so bad@$$, haha.

I'm not 100% certain who, but I believe and I could wrong, Trauama1 here at AM actually does food eating contests, including "training," so his entrance music would that song, "I'm tha biggest boss that you've seen thus far.." However, when it comes to meats, I can be a real fat bastard so.....

Controlled Labs Blue Up is one of the best natty test-boosters I have ever used. I don't put a lot of store in those usually, but Blue Up works!! You will definitely enjoy it Volcom. :hammer:

I read a lot of phenomenal reviews on Blue Up, while I was contemplating and researching some affirmation for the Blue Balls Stack.

RPM gets an abnormal amount of positive props as a pre-workout supp, and that's what it reminded me of when I was searching out Blue Up reviews, abnormally positive.

yeah i think youll have a positive experience with blue up. i researched a little, and thats exactly what i found, was a lot of positive reviews. including smeton's log. i almost bought it, but decided to go with core zap instead. which, i think is awesome. not quite rpm yet, but its a fairly similar feeling in the gym.

I bought the Blue UP, Stim Free version. I won't be using it as a pre-workout or anything. I'll be a first thing in the morning dose and the Blue GENE will be the pre-workout (so far that's my plan, but its not solidified, if I get suggestions of a more optimal method of dosing, so be it). I probably caused some confusion bringing up RPM and Blue Up in the same reference. I wasn't comparing similarities of Blue Up and RPM as products, but simply their similarities in the incredibly positive reviews.

I believe the original Blue Up contained caffeine, which would have pre-workout boosting effects, but I bought the Stim Free version.

I'm sure I'll be asking Renegade more specific dosing strategies as I approach my Blue Balls Stack.

P.S. I've heard extraordinary things about Core Zap as a pre-workout. I believe Zap has Head Chef Snags, official "Snagalicious Seal Of Approval," and that sells in this kitchen

ive never used a trib type supplement, but im guessing its more of a pronounced effect? instead of icariin where its kind of an instant test boost, which of course is perfect for pre w/o. i was readin smetons log, and he states that after a few days the test increase is pretty noticeable.

Roland,

When do you start working at the PT center at La Verne L.A. Fitness?
i dont think this will be happening after all. i saw my buddy who was working there, and who was also my contact for that job, and he told me they ended up hiring of the volunteers, instead of looking for someone new.

unfortunately that throws me back in the job market

and yeah, corezap is a solid supplement so far. only has 22 servings tho :| i will probably end up grabbing rpm big block when im out of zap.

Random Steroid Accusations aka BB compliments

I mentioned in a previous post that when I visited my primary physician last week, that he was convinced that I was on steroids because I had grown so much since the last time he'd seen me. Well, the last time I saw him was probably close to 9 months ago, c'mon guy, I'd slap myself with my ring hand (if I wore a ring) if I didn't look different to you from 9 months ago.

However, today, I met with my old roommate who I haven't seen since the Friday before I began my Blue GENE run, so about two weeks. He said I looked bigger when I first came out of my car and asked if I'm using steroids.

Its not that I've never been accused of being on steroids before, it happens often, but never by respectable people or close friends, usually just strangers or idiots, so it was out of the ordinary, plus it was twice in 5 days, also out of the ordinary.

My diet hasn't changed, its gotten worse (less in kcals) if anything and I still weighed 214lbs, which is about what I weighed when my roommate last saw me two weeks ago.

Interesting.....

I'm thinking maybe your Blue Gene got contaminated with t-bol during processing or something!!

Don't say that, Blue Gene will be sold out before I can get some.

Maybe you had a nice pump going. I know I look ten pounds heavier with a solid pump. I love the look when I'm in the gym, but I always get sad because I know it's temporary.

Being accused of steroid use is always nice. Awkward, though. I never know what to say. Some comments I HATE hearing...

"Do you work out a lot or something?"

"Why do you drink so much water? Are you a bodybuilder?"

"Do you workout every day?"

"What are you takin'?"

Bleh!

You're only saying that to get in my panties.

Seriously though, as lame as my diet has been recently, not so much eating bad foods, just not eating much, its a strange thing to be accused of abnormally sizing (if I really am). No complaints though, as long as it's not fat. Maybe I'm leaning, I always get accused of bulking when I'm cutting, because the muscle contour starts to become more prevalent.

Same thing happens with me. One time I dropped 7lbs, and a girl who hadn't seen me in 4 weeks remarked "You look bigger."

You wear panties?

Damn, he got you there :)

I tried to do Deadlifts on Sunday, but when I got to a baby weight (for deads) of 240lbs, I felt my lower back reacting in a suspicious manner, so I thought it best to just leave it alone. My sciatica flared up and instead of my usual left side feeling an unhealthy strain, I felt a strain on my right side.

I actually started that workout with the intention of performing Db Deadlifts, this keeps the resistance much closer to the body, which keeps the strain off the lumbar, however, it just felt like I was performing bad form Db Squats, and it felt a little homo, so I said to hell with it.

Bottom line, no deads for me anytime soon, sucks, but oh well.

How do you feel about sumo squats? Those take a lot of the pressure off the back, correct? I was planning on performing those (as opposed to regular deads), since I have a prior back injury (slipped disc, slipped vertebrae, fracture, all in my lower in my lumbar).

That is a GOOD idea! I don't know why I didn't think of that? Yes, the sumo's bring the resistance closer to the body and rely more on hip flexors/extensors, and less on lumbar. I think I'll try that and see how it goes.

I have a slip disc history also, it was the re-aggravation of that injury from heavy rows that laid me out the last time (resulting in my little rehab shingdig log).

I'll give Sumo's a try, solid idea. I'll rep you if I can

I'm more concerned about the upper back thickness & traps development, then developing my erectors, so Sumo's would completely suffice, assuming I am able to perform them.

Obviously I meant sumo deads, :hammer: but I think you got what I meant. LOL.

Yeah, I wouldn't know what other Sumo's could be. Although I have seen people take some weird & oddly wide stances for EZ bar curls. Like a Kung Fu Horse Stance.

LOL. Well, I said sumo squats originally. I really don't know what I was thinking. LOL.

I doubt it, my Saturdays are pretty locked down up through November, with extracurricular internship activity. I'm "volunteering" for multiple events. "Volunteer" work at academic gun point is always nice.

what kind of volunteer work?

i worked this nutrition festival that a cal poly kines alumni held at a school in la habra. it was eye opening how many parents have no idea what good, or even decent nutrition means. kinda brings to light why the average american is overweight.

I've tried Sumo's before. I never could get the feel of them however. I quickly went back to regular deads.

Just different Senior oriented events. One of them is the Senior Olympics, and surfing is one of the events if you can believe that!

I wanted to perform some Sumo's today, but by the time I got to the gym, my lower back was beginning to get really tight and feeling a bit too unstable (from Sunday's RDL attempts), so I didn't want to push it. I was a bit disappointed because I was mentally hyped and prepped to do some Deads (however way possible).

Instead, I started performing Shrugs, which inadvertently lead to a Shrugs/Delts & Delts/Shrugs day.

Traps & Shoulders and Shoulders & Traps

Barbell Shrugs
315lbs x 12 reps
335lbs x 12 reps
355lbs x 9 reps
335lbs x 10 reps
315lbs x 10 reps

Standing Military Press (no assisted knee bends)
95lbs x 12 reps
115lbs x 10 reps
135lbs x 8 reps
115lbs x 8 reps

Db Shrugs
105lbs Db's x 15 reps
110lbs Db's x 15 reps
115lbs Db's x 15 reps
120lbs Db's x 15 reps
125lbs Db's x 15 reps

Machine, Neutral Grip Shoulder Press (facing back pad for more of a medial head stimulation).
100lbs x 15 reps
110lbs x 12 reps
120lbs x 10 reps
130lbs x 8 reps
140lbs x 8 reps

Cable, Upright Rows
120lbs x 12 reps
130lbs x 10 reps
140lbs x 8 reps

All in all it was a good workout. My Db Shrugs strength seemed back on par.

On another note, strangely, my libido is no longer on Austin Powers level. I wonder if there is a spike effect and I'm over that pinnacle? Or something else, no worries however, as long as my performance enhancements are still prevalent, which they are, then that's what matters to me.

True brother. But surviving those battle wounds makes us more durable, stronger, tougher, and seasoned. :hammer:

Blue GENE has had en effect on minimizing DOMS in general. My chest generally suffers from severe and prolonged DOMS, but my soreness has been very minimal, which has allowed me to hit particular muscle groups with more frequency (thus, greater potential for hypertrophy).

Objective Positive Effects:

- Increased STRENGTH
- Increased Muscle Endurance
- Increased General Stamina
- Diminished DOMS
- Increased Focus

Subjective Positive Effects:

- Increase in body size; Clothes feel tighter
- Looking way swoller in the gym mirrors; Back muscles look more prevalent.
- People around me are shrinking; People I considered "big" at the gym, look smaller to me, which seems to happen when I'm growing.

Current Decreased Effects:

- Libido

Thoughts: When my libido seemed to have "peaked" at least up to this point, in conjunction with a slight increase in acne, this would suggest some fluctuation in testosterone, however, I never experienced any aggression

Over all Impression:
Blue GENE started off with a jog for me, but its picked up into a full sprint and I'm really enjoying the effects.

I'll make a comparison with 3-AD, but in all due respect. I used 3-AD, loved it and 3-AD was actually one of my most successful runs. I like AX and their reps, especially a rep named Tim (he had a MassFX avi if you've ever run into him, coolest guy).

Blue GENE's effects reminded me of 3-AD, however, the potency of Blue GENE, in respects to increased Strength and Muscle Endurance was probably 75%-80% as strong as 3-AD, HOWEVER, Blue GENE has NONE of the sides, like lethargy, depression, apathy and the various sacrifices and uphill struggles that come with PH and PH like supplements, which is why I bought a second bottle of BG. Although I love the Superman Phases of 3-AD, JW and the like, the crash at the end makes me miserable. I don't have the energy or desire to even go to the gym and when I'm there I burn out like a short fuse, I can't wake up in the mornings and when I'm up I'm lethargic and just want to sleep or do lazy activities like watch TV all day. I've never ran a PH like supplement for more the 30 days, even though I always buy an 8 week cycle (which is one of the reasons I have an extra bottle of JW), because no matter how much I mentally prep myself, toward the end of the 30 days of 3-AD, the degree of lethargy, and severe apathy I am under at that point makes me say, "I'm ready to be done" every time, as was noted in my previous logs of these supps.

The lack of sides of Blue GENE makes this very appealing and "usable." I can't afford lethargy or apathy, not to mention I hate it. It took the entire month of August to really pull myself out of my apathy from my June run of 3-AD.

Even though BG is not as strong as 3-AD, the complete absence of the sides BG offers would make me pick BG almost every time.

I know what supp Ill be trying next :D

Seriously man nice review!

Thanks guys, but its not my final review or anything, I'm only a little more then half way through my 30 day run. I was just sharing some current events thoughts, but thanks.
