Trouble Meeting People

Just caught up after a nice hiatus from my own thread.

Havent met any girls in my area, but been talking to this cool older woman(? 6 years older) from a dating website. Pretty much only chick I have talked to from a dating website. Actually had a webcam chat with her tonight. Real cool interests and we seem to get along which isnt that hard at this stage.

The big draw back is she is living in Ohio and wont move to Georgia for about a year. Now I have kept contact with friends who are girls purely through the internet but it isnt easy. If she lived in Georgia I guess it would be too easy though. All I have to say is religious(morals is the plus here), competes in figure, smart, deals with my sense of humor, going to school to be a chiropractor, and doesnt mind the fact I am not a stick figure lol.

Ive noticed this lately. Since I started seeing someone Ive felt more "at ease" when meeting new girls. I suppose the pressure of trying to make a score isn't as amplified knowing you aren't exactly empty-handed. Rejection/failure takes a backseat; theres less stress in finding companionship since its already there. This may also make you more likely to make better decisions on whom you should choose next time around.

It's also a topic of conversation that can be innocent enough but lead to both sides learning a bit more about each others relationship/dating interests right off the bat.

Aaaaaand one more reason to say that dating multiple people simultaneously is perfectly acceptable.

You're hungry. Really hungry. Haven't eaten in a while on a long drive. So you grab a meal that's maybe not too good for diet just because it was convenient. It wasn't McDonalds but it wasnt very clean either, but it'll do. Now you're somewhat satisfied, at least not starving. Next time you start considering the next meal you won't be so quick to stop off for fried chicken when you know a better choice was a top round serloin a few more miles down the road.
 
well, im back in the game.. POF is an easy mark... just get some ridiculous copy-pasta and they line up... less than 24 hours after sending out about a dozen emails I have 4 on the pull...

if anyone NOT in my area wants my copy/pasta Ill share... its epic, it works. I also did not create it, I stole it from someone but I get so many responses using it compared to a regular email.

Wow that message seems to be a crowd pleaser on okcupid lol. Just warning dont send it to girls with kids lol. Although Im not sure how the second one will actually turn out. She took the time to revise it so either she is just pissed off or she likes something. Been eying this second girl for a while just never had anything to say to her. If nothing else it will clear some space.

rule of thumb - if they reply=fish on! doesnt matter what their reply Ive found. one girl was like "how dare you..." etc.... still got her number in the end.

Everybody wants to talk to me. More often then not people bow down and cry to me praising me for their life. You see, if you dont talk to me that makes you suspiciously my political enemy so thats an immediate order to put a hit on them and their entire family.

The problem I have is that I cannot figure if people are talking to me because they like me, or if its fear for their life, so more often than not I have to put a hit on them too.

I think all in all the world pretty much loves me except for the imperialist regions so I can say Im quite happy, just a little paranoid but my meds take care of that.

I have my own 'boiler plate' or copy/paste that I use, which I made on my own...basically making it easier for me to get things started with a new chat online when getting into initial emails with women.. Most people ask the same questions when first getting in touch..

I wouldn't use something someone else made, but that's just me. Now I'm curious to see this one though, especially if it's offensive..lol

EHHHH maybe for the floozy Florida females :lol: The girls I have sent it to havent taken to the message. I didnt really do any prior recon on 1 of the 2 girls who replied. She is basically going through EXACTLY what the message said would happen lol. She even said and I quote "and obviously your ****ing hot!" I didnt really try to win her over too much after I heard her situation lol. The other girl who is pretty dang hot. Responded by flipping it around.

I guess neither could take it as a joke or something. Kind of really wanted to atleast talk to the hot one but I have a feeling she would have been too obnious to give me a chance. I want to say I went straight up with her when I first got on another site, but she didnt give me the time of day.

I just joined okC and I don't know if it's me, or the fact I'm in NYC (crazy female to male ratio here), but I'm having a hard time keeping up with all the girls who want to meet up, msg me, etc... they're even making the first move too.. my 1st time on a dating site... it's kinda crazy. I'm about to shut it down lol, can't keep up!! I think I need lessons on how to juggle..

I stay away from girls in bad situations, they're looking for an escape - and usually that means easy sex, but they're living in a dream world and tend to play tons of mind games, and have lots of emotional baggage too. A friend of mine got caught up with a ho like that...none of us respected this woman, and we all told him that, and yet he fell in love with her and got played still.. I don't mean to sound like I disrespect women, but anyone who cheats is a ho. I don't know my point here, I guess just be careful with em, but seems like you know what you're doin lol

didnt really take time to read through all 15 pages...but in my experience...just saying something...anything to someone else is the hardest part...after you say something like hello...or comment on something they have one or something that stands out....it gets easier..
 
^^ I think I mentioned before about simply saying "Hello" to strangers. Start doing it. When you walk by someone leaving work just say "Good day" to everyone. You really quickly start building comfort in breaking that barrier amongst strangers and it'll progress from there.

I'm having troubles meeting a woman who doesn't want a man as their primary bank account. They think in order to 'feel like a lady' the man has to take care of everything they do. Is this normal here in the US???

I'm from Canada, and mostly dated Canadian or European women, and have never experienced this so bad until I came here. What's with the princess/primadona's down here? F^ck, even women who are my Sr's at work, making more than me, expect this..

I guess it can't hurt to date older women / cougars then... I've had enough of falling for someone only for it to seem like I need to buy their love to keep them 'feelin all lady-like'.. like the helpless women of today? Yeaaaah right. women know they have the upper hand for the most part.sadly the men that know how to play the game are outnumbered by the guys that are whipped and/or willing to do anything for some *****.

Me and a friend talk about this all the time.Yes,American women are very materialistic.Here it is all about how much you make,how big is your house,how expensive is the automobile you drive,etc.

Agreed.It amazes me what guys will put up with just to get laid occasionally.I have never had much tolerance for most women`s b.s.Like you said,women know they have the upper hand,so if a guy is not willing to keep his nose buried up their ass 24/7,they just move on to another guy who will.

I think its the particular women you are meeting more than something general. As there are plenty of women who don't feel that way. But see you are in NYC, land of the socialist democrats which affects that quite a bit.

It's not the cost of the whole courting process that bothers me, that's normal.. yeah of course if you have no cash, you're not going to be taking any girls out. What I mean is that I find girls here, even well after that whole initial process, well into the relationship they still have a sense of entitlement like you have to prove yourself and buy them, etc... after the first 4 months, if a girl is still like this - there's issues. A girl should love you for you and not your money. If she needs constant showering, well there's plenty of girls out there you can buy, there's a name for them and it's not 'wife' or 'girlfriend' lol

I am SINGLE by choice, I go to school, I will soon have 2 degrees, and I am HAPPY .... when and IF i choose to date a man, I always offer to pay, I bring a flower or a fav candy, I feel like more of the man than most men, what happened to getting to know a woman>? and not wanting to sleep on the first date, god forbid you dont put out on the first date, no call.....we can run this either way,,,,, greedy ho's and jerky gents....... nature of the beast......

some times a guy really likes a girl and walks away from a date with no big finish thinking that hes been rejected. Sad but true. Basically when we were teenagers some girl who didnt what to hurt out feeling tought us to think this way.
