Damn right!! I learned this from my short-lived hobby of powerlifting. BREATHE!!! You said to yell, count the reps, or merely grunt. I like full-out yelling myself!!!:aargh:

Seriously though, it's okay to hold your breath at the very beginning of the rep to let the pressure in your thoracic cavity build up to start the lift, but once that bar starts its ascent or descent (depending on the exercise), start to exhale forcibly like grunting or growling to relieve that built-up pressure to avoid blacking-out.
Blacking-out is not macho......it's just dangerous.

Remember to take an over-exaggerated large inhalation of oxygen (big gulp of air) before the rep and to release it with a growl/grunt as you lift the weight.

KILLIN' DA CARDIO

Got my ride on this morning!! I was riding like the wind too. Smooth sailing. Even though I was going all out on the intensity intervals, it still seemed more like fun than real work. Must have been the Avenged Sevenfold blasting in the background. :head:

20 Minutes of exhausting exhiliration on the glider machine.
330 nonstop reps of ab attack consisting of seated machine crunches. leg raises, and kneeling rope crunches.

Great session. Sweating like Branch Warren at a urine sample test!!!
Thermogenesis is high even though I'm not taking any kind of thermogenic supps. Just great heart-pumping/fat-melting tempo on the glider machine!! :arms::woohoo:

I don't know about wrong, but not uncommon, the same endorphins are excreted as being choked out or deprived of oxygen. Lots of people love strangulation and asphixiation during sex because the endorphin release supposedly makes the orgasm better. That is how David Carrodine offed himself in the closet. MORNING MASSACRE

My land line (phone) and internet were out yesterday morning. Didn't come back on until around noon. By which time I had gotten busy.
So here's the War Report from yesterday's carnage!!:type::deal:

SHOULDERS

Machine Shoulder Presses--120X12, 170X10, DC Rest-Pause Set:270X10-5-3=18 total reps. Same reps on that DC set as last time. Then I dropped the weight to 200X16. That was a gain of 2 reps on that back off set.
PRE-EXHAUST SET:
Seated DB Side Laterals--20'sX12, 30'sX10, 50'sX12, 50'sX12.
Seated DB Shoulder Presses--20'sX12, 30'sX10, 50'sX14, 50'sX14. This is rough stuff indeed. Going immediately from the laterals and cleaning the DB's up to my shoulders and going straight into the presses with NO rest!! Blows up those delts like mad!!!:Eyecrazy:
One-Arm Incline DB Rear Laterals--(laying face down on a high incline bench)--20X12, 35X10, triple drop set:70X11>50X10>30X14. I've tried these using both hands at once, but I feel I can concentrate and isolate the rear delts better using one arm at a time.
Seated Alternate DB Front Laterals--20'sX12, 30'sX10, 60'sX11, 60'sX11. Just straight sets here. Nice and heavy too. The way I love it!! :bigok:


QUADS

2 light sets of leg extensions to warm up the quads--150X15, 150X15
Hack Squats--160X12, 250X10, 430X13, rested 30 seconds and dropped to 350X15. Gained 10lbs. plus a rep on that heavy set. Putting the power to these suckahs!!
Seated Leg Presses--250X15, 450x12, 720X14, rested 30 seconds and dropped to 550X25. That was another 10lb. increase on the heaviest set. Movin' on up like George and Weezy!! I was really digging deep into the power reserves for these 2 sets!!:mischievous:
PRE-EXHAUST SETS:
Leg Extensions--90X15, 120X12, 200X20, 180X18.
Zercher Squats--135X12, 175X10, 245X11, 205X13.
Talk about a fierce combo of exercises to make a pre-exhaust set out of!! Try these sometime. Do a heavy ass set of leg extensions and then hobble over to the squat rack and do some insane Zercher Squats!! NO rest in between. You'll have a completely new definition for pain!!! :aargh::18:

HAMSTRINGS

PRE-EXHAUST SETS:
Lying Leg Curls--60X12, 90X10, 150X14, 150X13.
Stiff-Legged DB Deadlifts--40'sX12, 60'sX10, 100'sX10, 100'sX10.
Yet another sadistic little combo of movements to execute. 100lb. Dumbells in each hand may not sound like much to do stiff-legged deadlifts with, but try them directly after going to total failure on leg curls!! Now you get the picture!!! :cool2:

CALVES

Seated Machine Calf Raises--200X25, 300X20, 420X25, 420X22. Went up 10lbs. on these 2 work sets. And was keeping the form nice and tight. Calves really swole up on these suckahs!! :omfg:

Very intense session. I dosed 3 full scoops of Anadraulic State GTSE an hour before this destruction!!
Felt like any weight was possible. Absolutely exploding with aggression and laser-like focus. My determination and drive were unmatched. Felt impervious to all fatigue and pain!! :twisted:
