I see Chris making his move now and I am tempted but things are going so well right now for me I might just drop calories a tad and go with the same kind of plan I am on now.

Yeah I am making my move, the coach had a pretty good plan, lowered carbs a few weeks back but kept fats higher to get the body used to burning them for energy, did that for 2 weeks then lowered fat and now my body is a fat burning furnace. So many ways to skin a cat Doug, I think you will do really well and that book I linked you too will really help out quite a bit.

I was wondering what the reasoning was behind keeping the fat higher ... seems logical. Yah there seems to be some different ways of getting it done. After reading I decided to keep my carbs steady at 120 and keep the carb days. I will also keep the fats steady at 50. I did not see any sense in cycling carbs when I have the 2 carb meals per week to keep my metabolism up. If I mix starches like sweet potatoes with protein I will make sure get set some nuts in thee as well. This will also help balance my meals.

Cals will go to 2400 and 2700 on carb up days as I am replacing the last meal instead of adding it on carb days so not that high really.

Man I am getting pretty big and weight is holding but I am definitely leaning. Unbelievable Chest and Tri day yesterday. I usually get a little burned out with all the volume I do on chest that when It comes to doing close grip bench I don't have a lot left but the last few weeks on this has been a different animal.

Make them myself just cut them up small and spice them then throw them in the oven at 450 and they taste pretty damn good.

Thanks, things have been going very well and I am having a great time :) Like I always say if you're not having fun then why do it. I do this for fun. :)

I don't look at myself as a high competitive bodybuilder. I just want to look good and have a good time doing it. If people get inspired then that is great. To be truthful I think I will be heading into a buzz saw with this show. My friend who is 59 is very good and world class.

Oh by the way he is coming next weekend and I will get some preview pics with the both of us. This is going to be interesting cuz he's and excellent guage on which to measure myself.

Thanks Edge, it really is wild how fast things have been moving the last 10 days. It's been pretty easy actually and I keep getting freakier by the day. No adjustments. I am eating the sweet potato's without the skin now. Down another lb but it look like so much more. 6 lbs in 4.5 weeks looks more like 10 or 12.

Nice Doug, on that Side biceps shot you want to raise your rib cage up with an arch in the back without leaning back. Think lift the chest and puff it out not lean back. Also you need to supinate the front arm to show the peak on your biceps, IE palm up.

You mean the side triceps ? Chest up from the front ? and palm up on the back arm ?

No side chest and biceps, your front arm see how your biceps look flat, twist your wrist so that the front arm is palm up instead of palm in and watch how the peak pops up. Other than that see how you have your chest high but it looks like you are leaning back just bring the chest more forward and take the lean at the waist out of it. Kind of like a strict form lat pull down where you only arch the upper back and not the lower back.

See how Arnold has his hands, and his chest poked out but is not leaning backward. To do that you raise the ribcage by bringing it forward and up not arching all the way back.
