Some more changes occurring rather quickly, surprising as my last adjustment was what 2 weeks ago. I will make another small one and drop 50 cals ed. I do seem to be taking a bit of a hit in the overall power department in the gym. I am changing routines next week and will start at the lower end of my progression and work back up.

I plan to use muscle saturation that I do for prep but am going to separate chest and back and add volume to those and do it over 4 days instead of 3.

I decided not calculate in the extra broccoli, peppers and asparagus I have been eating (the exception being my regular large salads) as I have been using this to balance out meals and for extra nutrition. I find if I add them to the numbers it may discourage me from eating the amount I need to consume. If I reduce carbs any further they will be replaced by fibrous vegetables.

Routine change to giant sets. This is the same one I use at this time but added volume and split chest and back so now it's done on a 4 day split.

Chest day was Monday.

Flat db press X 15 drop 1 ss
Incline files X 15 drop 1 ss
Decline db press X 15 drop 1

Did 4 sets of this never did more than 3 before.

I finished with 7 sets of pec dec 30 seconds rest.

Nice what are the planned macros for your next drop, are you planning to drop fats farther or carbs or a tiny bit of both?

I will have to see what happens as the next drop would be 4 weeks out. So if I dropped calories say another 100 ed I might just split it between carbs and fat so down to 90 ed of carbs and 45 of fat should pretty much do it. I may just keep the current cals though. If I do another heavy refeed 4 weeks out that may be enough at 2300 cals to take me all the way. I am getting very lean right now should have pics up early this morning.

Leanness is looking good but you are definitely looking a little flat (to be expected on your diet). What are your carb meals looking like, and when was your last one? How far away from a carb meal is this one compared to your typical pictures on the weekend?

Al pics are early fasted not late carbs so it's about 16 hours really from any significant carbs. I am not concerned about being flat I blow up on carbs.

Another thing is I don't have that dark background I did in the last pics which really made things pop, oh and I caught sick and had quite a few bathroom trips forgot to mention that it's important and I would be a bit dry.

Wow yesterday my pump was so big I looked like I was a different person leaving the gym. I have never seen anything like it. Right now as I look in the mirror I see veins going all the way through my abdominal area to my upper legs. The lower abs and hip area is just freaky. Striations everywhere, can't seem to get them to show in pics but they are getting very pronounced so that is going to start to change.

At the latest weigh in I was 193 down a couple from last week.

Looking more full and your skins looks tighter, can see some striations where they were missing in the last pictures. Things are coming along nicely, just a little bit to go. If you are still losing right now I would not make an adjustment this week.

Yes I moved all my Sunday carbs to before pics and ate fibrous one like broccoli for the rest of the day. This had me more full and tight for pics. I will do this every Sunday now to remain consistent.

I am hammering pretty damn hard right now. Lots of sets (giant sets) and reps.

Doug, one thing I notice, on your side shots, make sure you're keeping those quads flexed and tight. Looking good though.

Was working on that today another thing about this lighting though the legs never show up on the pics very well. Still have to work on that.

Looking good but I am still not seeing the conditioning level you keep telling me you are seeing (IE... as good as show day). Although you are very lean you seem to still have a soft look in some areas. How many lbs did you lose this week? What are your carb sources? Might be good to cut out Oats and some of the other "whole grain" touting products, and go with easily digestible sources from rice, potatoes and what not, then putting almost all of them after your workout.

Okay quick notes on posing, on all side shots bend your legs into a 1/4 squat this puts all of the weight onto the muscles instead of the bones so it will flex your entire thigh. Just lower yourself further and you will be astonished. Most Muscular, bend over at the waist like you are doing but arch your back, this will pick your chest up off your ribcage and will help limit visibility of any loose skin under the pecs. This is what I have to do because of mine as well. On your back pose don't concentrate so much on squeezing the middle of the back, in the stance just adjust so that your lats spread out and let the leaning back slightly pop the lower traps and you are good to go. Save the squeezing of the upper back for the first part of your rear double biceps, or squeeze them just before you flair the last. It is almost impossible to flair the lats and flex the upper back because one requires you to pull in and the other requires you to pull out. One is always going to take precedence over the other so just concentrate on the flair and use the RDB and your transitions to show all of that thickness and detail.

I lost only 1 lb but I am way leaner than I was the previous week, pics don't always show it. All carbs are from yams and grapefruit. I do the oatmeal meal twice a week on top of that you know the one with the banana and Almond butter etc...

I still have 4 weeks and I am not slowing down at this point though I did not make adjustments thsi week but will if I need to. I have a feeling I will be down a couple lbs this week as I seem to be shedding more water. Could be I still had some water in me from the big carb up too.

Thanks Chris, I made a couple adjusments already. The back will spread out if I pull my elbows further forward near the end. I will work on the other things as well. I am practicing 4 itme a week and holding my poses for 45 seconds.

Sounds good and yeah I went to your other log and you do look pretty close, maybe a couple lbs away from contest shape. I still think you could probably have increased your carbs a little more for the show. What are your plans for peak week? Are you going to try to repeat the last one or follow the Game Day Diet peak week plan in the book I sent you?

That's a good question that 2 hour window does incredible things so it's tempting but when I look at he pics again I am a tad softer so that could be a little water. I have also considered decarbing and doing a slower carb up starting the wednesday. Similar to what I did before but ramp it up a bit before show day. I will take another look at the one you sent to see if I can imcorporate it.

One thing that makes it hard for me to estimate where I am at is that I am way more vascular now than when I was in may. This doesn't show up so much in the pics I do on the weekend but believe me it's pretty freaky. Gives me a leaner look so it can be deceiving.
