Well you guys were 100% right. ASGT literally knocked my d!ck in the dirt. I've never had such focus, vascularity, and drive with a simple preworkout drink before. Of course I also took anadraulic pump. 1 scoop of each and I was going nuts driving to the gym. Hell, I'm still jacked and it's been over an hour since I got back home.

One day I'm going to OD on ASGT just to see what would happen to my veins. But I'm going to have a friend with the car running just in case my veins bust open cause of blood flow.

Random note: My bro in law is finally back in the US from Afghan. I finally have my frakking lifting partner back. And ofcourse theres the part where he can be with his wife and son :) They should see him within 7-8 hours from now :)

Not really. There are loads of professionals who use it and are fine. If you have a spotter, which he did have, he should have been fine. Spotting on that grip style means you follow the bar up and down the entire way(although I like to do that regardless of the grip personally) so that if the person fails there is someone able to grab/deflect etc.
 
I'm still a bit of a nub on the grips and how they affect what. What would be the benefit of thumbless grip on a bench?

I use thumbless on DB presses and sometimes shoulder presses, but only because something is funky with a nerve in my left hand, the way the weight situates on it hurts like crap randomly(mainly if it is there for long periods of time, not really dependent on the weight).
