Song you play before you lift to set you in the mood!

Lamb Of God - Redneck
Slipknot - Duality
Our Lady Peace - Whatever [Chris Benoit wwf theme music from back in the day - this motivates me in some weird way probably because he was one of my favorite wrestlers when i was young watching it and thought it was cool as hell ! :) ]

Pantera - Great Southern Trend Kill
Five Finger Death Punch - Dying Breed or any song off of the new album War is the Answer!
I have an itunes/spotify 'gym motivation/pre-workout' playlist I keep adding to, lets me pick a couple songs in one place that will fire me up easily heh.

Both good choices to keep the aggression flying high.... add in some [sic], eyeless and surfacing too!

A7X - Burn it Down:

These guys are super cool. They were the very first show I ever promoted. Sold out a well known venue in a college town in KS. They'll always have a place in my heart!

Oldie but goodie:

My all time favorite workout song:

It's not for everybody, I just don't need an outside source to generate mental intensity. Takes a little focus, a little discipline, but you become the fountain of rage.

lol words of wisdom

I like everyones contributions so far pretty good. Heres an oldie but a goodie. I like screaming in my workout songs.=D

I grew up and played with the drummer of this band. Chris is the man.

Check out the old Long Island hardcore band Vision of Disorder. Really only the s/t cd is worth checking out. The singer was jumped and stabbed in the face. The entire cd is about him seeking revenge. The cover is actually a picture of after the stabbing occured. Pretty intense to lift too.

Based on your other reccomendations, you might like Zao, The Red Chord, or maybe even From a Second Story Window as well. If your into older hardcore/punk try Buried Alive or Until the End.

no pantera or slayer, lamb of god, mastadon how bout rage or testament??

those are all a given;) we're just throwing up some others that aren't those bands haha

Rage for life. So glad they're back together Chris Cornell was miserable.

Makes me think of my ex GF and how much I want those three years of my life back...
Provides the mindset for a focused workout.

I just repurchased this cd. Psyopus. If you like chaotic metal. The guitar player won Limp Bizkit's Guitar Center contest. The one where the winner would get to replace Wes Borland on guitar. Well, the guy had no intentions of joing that awful band...he just wanted to win...listen and you will see why.

EVERY MORNING I WAKE UP AND OPEN PALM SLAM A VHS INTO THE SLOT. ITS CHRONICLES OF RID**** AND RIGHT THEN AND THERE I START DOING THE MOVES ALONGSIDE WITH THE MAIN CHARACTER, RID****. I DO EVERY MOVE AND I DO EVERY MOVE HARD. MAKIN WHOOSHING SOUNDS WHEN I SLAM DOWN SOME NECRO BASTARDS OR EVEN WHEN I MESS UP TECHNIQUE. NOT MANY CAN SAY THEY ESCAPED THE GALAXY’S MOST DANGEROUS PRISON. I CAN. I SAY IT AND I SAY IT OUTLOUD EVERYDAY TO PEOPLE IN MY COLLEGE CLASS AND ALL THEY DO IS PROVE PEOPLE IN COLLEGE CLASS CAN STILL BE IMMATURE JERKS. AND IVE LEARNED ALL THE LINES AND IVE LEARNED HOW TO MAKE MYSELF AND MY APARTMENT LESS LONELY BY SHOUTING EM ALL. 2 HOURS INCLUDING WIND DOWN EVERY MORNING. THEN I LIFT

House music especially here in jersey with all the fist pumpers....my personal favorite is World Hold On -Bob Sinclair
