Punny weighed in at 252.2 today with no shoes. I was 193.4 clothed no shoes, both had lots of layers as it was -31 celcius outside.

Also during the 275x5 set i stuck for a sec, pun put the camera down and gave me a small nudge and i finished the rep.

Yeah dude those reps are all heart i wasnt stopping but the camera did. Pun said "when i saw you struggle with the 4th rep i didnt think you'd go for another" I had too we were going to 5. :sgrin:

Ive been training solo for two months since i started working out again, so its nice to change it up, go heavier and have a spotter who doesnt stand there or lift it for ya.

I definitely hear this too ^^^^ i trained solo for a long a$$ time then finally Liftergym decided he wanted to start lifting again so its worked out great for both of us...

the form on your db row in the first video looked good, the first thing i would focus on fixing there would be keeping your elbow in as close to your body as possible. focus on correcting one thing and the rest of the form will follow. either way what i saw was not bad!! It was very good and very impressive! you have better form then some guys who have been lifting for 8-9 years!!

I havent done DB rows for a long time, i think it'll come. Thanks for the feedback.

Ive been taking Purple wraath intra/pre workout, it seems since takin it i get more sore, but also have better workouts.

The soreness makes me think i need to get some creatine in me. Ive never really been consistent about stretching but lately i have been doing it PWO when im still warm.
 
Thanks dude, ive only recently started being consistent at the gym and not drinking on the weekends. Things are comin together for me, after my 22 days in hawaii this summer i was 179 and i developed a taste for rum. I havent really been this consistent in the gym for a year atleast focusing more on sports and mental well being, but i havent felt better in years.

Quiet in here, alot of logs have tonnes of guys in there , how come mine is so quiet ? does it suck or is there not much to say?
SWG its so much better this way. At the end of the day we are here to see your workouts and watch your progress, not chat about random bullsh*t like most logs. I dont wake up and have 5 pages of smileys to go through. I'm pretty much off supplements completely so i appreciate logs like this much more.
 
the guy with the crutches is even more impressive cause he's dealing with rotator issues and two blown out knees. the guys love of the gym is inspiring. that's why he was such a great training partner for me. He loves to go hard and heavy and doesn't complain about extra sets. that's the other reason i enjoy training with SWG cause he's the same way. you don't get any where without hard work.

I once had a guy spot my bench from one side, I think it was just the left side and he damn near flipped me off the bench :scared1: I borderline injured my shoulder to maintain balance and not tip over to one side.

135x10 185x10 235x10 285x3 (last set didn't go well due to learning to front olympic style for the first time)

the dose of ba in PW is low i believe, still it is weird to me that you r so sore even after using the eaa blend... But hey everyone is different.

Yeah dude i dont like it, im going to try to eat more, ive been quite hungry today eating protein bars between meals. :burger: MY lower chest is really sore, thats good mine needs size. My front delts are sore too but id expect that with the weights we did on chest day.

My legs are still sore today, not as sore but fk it im going to do them anyway.

actually that workout isn't that brutal compared to other workouts i've done before. i had a few injuries in the fall so i'm working my way back on legs these days. the love of training legs is slowly coming back. legs got weak from a groin injury and a high ankle sprain.

i have no idea what my vertical is these days. i could dunk a basketball one handed or two handed a few years ago. but i'm 28 now and haven't played any sports in the last few years other than football.

Legs

This was yesterday and today was rest.
Was quite dissapointed in this workout, maybe ive been entertaining the illusion that my leg lifts are good or atleast propprtionate to my upper lifts. I have some ankle/feet probs that make leg training interesting and i am waiting to hear from a specialist about ankle surgery. I have a tarsal fusion (fused ankle bones) and it is compounded by flat feet. Ive noticed that when i squat my knees wanna come inward, i try to avoid this but its quite difficult. I think i may get some arch supporting implants, i had some before but when some lowlife took my shoes from a party years ago i have yet to replace them at 600$. Excuses, excuses i have missed too many leg days and when i played football this summer i didnt really work them at all so i wouldnt be sore on game days. blah.

Barbell front squats: 135x12, 185x8, 185x6 *vid, 215x3
Machine leg press: 300x12, 350x10, 400x10, 450x10, 490(max)x10
Lying ham curl: 50x12, 70x10, 100x8, 120x4 superset 100x7 *vid
Seated ham curl: 120x10, 140x10, 160x6 superset 120x4
Seated calf raise: 90x12, 100x10, 110x8 superset 90x6

The YMCA doesnt have a sled style leg press or donkey calf raise or i would have done those as per punthra. He's going to work with my legs, rear delts and upper back as they need the most work on my frame. I cant wait to have normal legs or atleast proportionate ones, lol. Well after the dentist its bi's and traps i think as per punthra. Got my anadraulic state in the mail that i won at lgsciences dot com and am waiting for my Peak Beta that i dont think JJohn sent cause i won it in NOV.
My vert is hurtin but i can run like a scared chicken and am allstar in our local flag football league as a D lineman.
 
Hit bi's and traps today on an empty stomach cause i had a early dentist appt and didnt have time to eat. I waited my 30 mins after the apt to start taking in some purple wraath.

Biceps/traps

Standing cambered bar curl: 75x10, 95x10, 115x5, 135x5, 125x5
Double hammer curl to pecs: 35x10, 40x10, 35x10
Standing double bicep pose cable curl: 25x10, 30x10, 35x10, 40x10, 45x10, 50x10, 55x10
^^^ For this set we used FST7 which entails 10 reps, flex as hard as you can for 10 seconds, flood with water then repeat x7.
Barbell shrugs: 135x10, 185x10, 235x10, 285x8, 335x4
Head pulls: 120x10, 105x10, 135x10, 150x7 dropped 120x4

i had a great workout this morning with swg. but i had the advantage of food in my belly also. loved doing biceps and traps on their own because they never seem to get as much work as they need. wish i could give you numbers but i didn't really memorize what i was using, i just went by feel. the trap training was ridiculous today. they feel great right now.

the videos will be back soon enough. the camera powered out but we'll try to get some video today while training shoulders. should be a good one today as i absolutely love to train shoulders.
 
i'm glad you guys like his form on his front squats but that's the way it's supposed to done. ass to the ground is the way we've both always trained. the gains don't come if you wimp out.

I hope next week fully rested, with proper glute warm-up to add 20 pounds to my fronts. We'll see.

Today me and Punthra hooked up with some boys doing a powerlifting style shoulder workout.

Started off trying to do power cleans where you pop up the weight and finish in a shoulder press position. Ive never done these and the "pop" portion was tough for my bodybuilder instinct to embrace.

The push press was done with a pop up for the first rep then shoulder pressing the weight up from chin level.

Power cleans: 135x3, 155x3, 185x3, 185x3
Push press: 135x5, 155x5, 175x4, 155x5, 135x5, 155x2
Dumbell laterals: 25x10, 30x10, 20x10, 25x10
Bent over rear delt flyes: 10x10, 15x10, 20x10, 15x10 supered with rear delt rows.
Upright rows: 70x10, 90x10, 100x7 superset 60x8.

Planks: 1:10, 1:00 done with 30 seconds rest.

I moved stuff out of a basement for two hours before heading to the gym with no food in my stomach. I am moving and slept in so i had to go hard to get what i needed to in time for my workout. I weighed 192 clothed today. Ill charge my camera tonight so i can get the "video log" portion back on track.
The other boys put up bigger numbers the heaviest push press was 225 x4, and punthra finished his push press with a set of 135x16 down to his chin with no momentum.
 
i just started a review of anadraulic state that will sort of be connected to this log as i plan to continue training with swg. i just want to keep track of cumalative results of the AS. Should be interesting to see the results and hopefully get some more videos along the way to show the strength gains if there are any. once again props to swg for hooking me up with the anadraulic state and being the good buddy that he is.

you'd be amazed at the amount of people that just get to the 90 and call it quits. ATG is the best way to do squats, hands down. :icon16:
