No jokers taken. Even though I felt like I put it all out there, maybe 1RIR, after a couple minutes I definitely felt like I could add a bit of weight and go again but didn't.
Great leg pump though, left me shakey. BBB was spicy though.
Sorta funny if I ran my BBB bench at the same weight my recovery would be faster. I think I was running it at 155lbs and going about EMOTM.
So two older women, a Mexican abuela type and an Indian. Probably 55-65 and about 40lbs overweight decide in what I assume is an abundance of modesty, to jump in the hot tub with their shirts in instead of bathing suits
No matter how fat or old a woman is, a wet, white, T-shirt is a wet white T-shirt. These gyms continue to impress me every week.
Im appreciative for their postWO show they put on
When the first gal came out with basically grey sweat pants that were cut off or rolled up to her knees and a white shirt with black polka dots on, I thought... she must have a bathing suit on under that? Then she does the pre-rinse shower before jumping in (nice of her, despite wearing shoes anyways). and she climbs in. I wasn't staring per se, but I did notice just enough out the corner of my eye that this milk truck was not wearing a bra and I thought er... ok white shirt, no bra, big ol funbags and just add water. splash, she drops in. I had my headphones on so pretty sure I didn't say anything (Sounds like a good session followed by a wet tshirt contest. Winning!!!
so is that the thing? I think about it a lot during my sets of 10. they really do hammer the system! I have to mentally break them down sometimes to endure 50 reps lol. Like "do 5, reset, finish" or "one, breathe and down and two and breathe and down and..." lolThat’s because any squats burn more oxygen than benchpress!
did I mention the weird janitorial setup? I walk past the womens locker room and there is a sign that says "attention, male janitors in locker room" then walk into the mens locker room where it a sign says "attention! female janitors in locker room" and sure enough, there's a chick in there emptying garbage cans, cleaning windows etc as the guys are sitting there flopping around in nothing but their shower sandals lolMan some wild gyms these days![]()

Decent day, hit my numbers +2. I did forget my belt today so I wonder if with a tiny more bracing if I had 6-7 reps on the OHP.
I did opt to hit triceps instead of shoulders for accessory work today. Feels like there is a bigger deficit there.
Trainer comes over to my buddy and I mid set and starts talking, asking about our working weights, asks if he can work in (yes definitely, I always invite people to work in). Asks about my numbers. I don't typically like to talk about my numbers cause they're mine and really only important to me and there is always someone bigger/stronger anyways so who cares, but I tell him. He talks and talks and asks if we do this or that and starts telling me how excited he was when he hit that number or this number.
After all that I'm not sure if I'm being mogged to hire a trainer or if bro is buying me dinner on Friday night.
You’re right, I missed the jerk off attachment….that and the rope attachment were just too much for him. He had to take his shot.He saw you using that jerk off attachment and swooped in![]()
I’m afraid to ask what PNW means…lolSounds like with all that delicious cooking she’s been getting a little more PNW husband in her too![]()

OHP still going strong….as far as the trainer, he’s probably just trying to make money “any way he can.”

I imagine that doesn't push the triceps as well, but helps with grip / forearm strength.LOL Rogue calls it a sports handle, I've found like 6 names for it so far, but I like using it for tricep pushdowns/extensions occasionally, feels like an interesting grip challenger since I have to actually grip it rather than palming it to press it down. I just grab it with one hand at a time and mostly mimic what I'd do with a rope or bar attachment.

its sorta like the one handed grips in that the overall weight is going to be lower but I can change the position/rom a bit to target a specific area.I imagine that doesn't push the triceps as well, but helps with grip / forearm strength.
So is this the jerk off handle? I was thinking it was the straight bar you had to use your grip on or it would slide out of your hand. Similar to the first picture.its sorta like the one handed grips in that the overall weight is going to be lower but I can change the position/rom a bit to target a specific area.
with the straight "sports bar" handle (or whatever you want to call it) I was probably only setting the stack at like 42lbs or so but walking away with a crazy pump, whereas if I was doing a two handed tricep push down we're talking the full stack or very close usually. 160lbs ish and up?
arm pump was good though!

yeah you had it right, Rogue calls it a sports bar. I could see how it could be used to mimick a golf or baseball swing like in that pic, but I just one hand it like I would a normal one handed tricep extension. I've only used it a few times as an experiement and I think there's something to it, but overall weight used is definitely less.So is this the jerk off handle? Well I am sure there are multiple things to it, the requirement to squeeze the crap out of the bar/handle tends to also make you contract the targeted muscle a little harder too. The leverages are definitely different, the forearm is going to get a lot more work, and depending on how you hold the bar the leverage changes could make it feel lighter, or heavier in different position of the movement.yeah you had it right, Rogue calls it a sports bar. I hadn't really thought about either of those things but just now reading your post I put my hand in a gripping motion in front my belly button and flexed it like I was grabbing the rod (stick? bar? meat monster?) and noticed just holding it there in a static position did flex my lateral head firmly, from there as I extend downwards I can engage the long and medial. so even though the weight isn't super high, thats probably why I got a good pump, being able to really get the full tricep engaged. forearm growth is always a plus too! I haven't targeted forearms in probably 20 years I bet.Well I am sure there are multiple things to it, the requirement to squeeze the crap out of the bar/handle tends to also make you contract the targeted muscle a little harder too. I don't normally log belted but it's been a topic lately so added it in. I definitely did NOT need it at 295 but I like to put it on early to adjust to it. Plus I'm 203lbs today and I anticipated it being a little tight so 1mm of stretch is a big deal lol.
I think I had at least 2RIR but not sure. The bar never felt heavy, it was just moving slow. I actually thought I was gonna skip today cause schedule got messy with work prepping for 3 day weekend but at the last minute made the push, glad I did
