I think it'd be a nice option if we could redeem rep points in order to reveal the poster of an anonymous post.

And if your concern is that someone who pays will reveal to everyone else who the anon is, don't worry: People already call out anons but you don't know if they're telling the truth or not!

that would cause soo many problems in the community even if posts were jokes or not.
 
I love the idea, and it would cut down on alot of bs that's posted!

right, but then i think the forum would go to ****.

eventually no one would really be using it. It is astonishingly funny to read some of the posts in there though i have to say...:lol:
 
I've given it some thought, and you are correct,,,.. the laugh factor is worth it!!!
 
What's the point of anonymous posts, if they are indeed not truly anonymous?

Would be some good laughs but might cause unwanted issues for the board.
 
HOWEVER.

Cashing in rep points for things is cool.

Some ideas:
* bigger avatar
* products
* ability to change nickname
* no "Spread around" message for reppage
* limited gold member ability (3 months, etc)
* risky pictures of heat miser
