Thank you for the elementary school lesson. Time is still the creation of man.
And now you are assuming that God is on Earth (when he resides in Heaven), does Heaven even rotate on any axis? I don't know, do you somehow know?
Now you assume the days that were spoken of were rotations of Earth, which it says not one time in the Bible.
God didn't create time, we did.
You need to mix your creatine in a 2:1 ratio with water:juice and then add 2mg of salt + powdered banana and turkey kidneys. If you don't do this you are wasting your time.
Creatine only absorbs with that combo.
Well it's more fun when people don't take this so seriously. It's not like this discussion matter, so just enjoy it.
So before God made man, there were days ("on the first day...") Days are ways to measure time. Tell me again how man made up time? It's a measurement of a dimension. Unless God's days are not a measurement of time? In which case it's super confusing for Her (see what I did there) to call them days. A poor decision I'd say.
Anywho, the universe rotates so I guess there's always an axis to measure.
Now I am 100% sure God created cell tech and Prime, though.
A serm is a must!
The newest rats studies say to use "green" banana and pheasant kidney for better results.

It tells you they had two boys. Yes. It does not tell you that was the only children they had.you referenced the bible, so question, bible says it was adam and eve, they had 2 boys......how did the human race grow from that?
You guys want a serious discussion on god? Stop talking about the bible. Talking snakes, dust men, rib women, people living 900+ years, geez....
so one translation supersedes the thousands of ancient manuscripts?
i like halfhuman's answer............at this point, i want to have faith in something greater, but intellectually i cant believe in all that, i think we are all organisms that will just die like anything else.......my grandpa served in italy in WWII, 'the things iv seen, there is no god', something i wont forget
also, how come we never find any artifacts depicted in the bible? but can find human bones from 6million yrs ago
Lets lighten the mood in here...
"Any faith that must be supported by the evidence of the senses is not real faith."

i think is says mankind because the book was written by man, and at the time they were unaware of any of the major historical findings in the future, like dinosaurs before us, a universe that extends beyond where they were , and so onIt tells you they had two boys. Yes. It does not tell you that was the only children they had.
Have any of you considered that the Creator of our universe (our universe as we see, know and understand it) might actually have the capacity to multitask beyond one single task a day? Could there have been other days of the creation of things besides the 6 that are accounted for of our creation? Could He have been up to many many more intricate and complex activities beyond the creation of our universe and that the account of the creation of us in our universe is all that is intended to be told in our Bible? The Bible is telling us our story...not the entire story.
Not to be argumentative but...look at the bold. You are contradicting yourself by doing the very same "selective" literal and not literal interpretation with "I think". Seriously...not arguing. I agree - this always (been in these discussion many times before) make me think and see new insight - but I still come back to God - with even stronger conviction.i think is says mankind because the book was written by man, and at the time they were unaware of any of the major historical findings in the future, like dinosaurs before us, a universe that extends beyond where they were , and so on
to say they left out possible key events because they/he felt like it is again picking and choosing what you want to take literal and what not to in the bood.....if he was responsible for everything as in a universe as opposed to just man and earth as is depicted in the bible, id think itd have been recounted seeing its quite a significant thing, but again those who wrote it did not have that knowledge
and if adam and eve had other children but it wasnt noted because who are we to be privy to that information, meh hard for me to accept seeing they were the 'first family'
either way, thank you, makes one think regardless of the side i or you choose to believe in

Many people think the quote is "eat, drink, and be merry, for tomorrow we die." They'll insist on different origins. Some will say that it comes from Shakespeare. Others will say that it comes from what pirates used to say. Others will say it is from the old wild west when cowboys could be considered outlaws.Dave Matthews
there are historically known issues and contradictions within the KJV. It is sadly no different than any other version.@Invalid Link Removed is this true?

The early version of the bible (containing many of the "lost" gospels) is different...entirely

I often, even within fellowship with members of my own faith, have had to tread lightly when discussing things that touch on this. I always remain critical of text(s) despite what others choose to take on face value.there are historically known issues and contradictions within the KJV. The historical fact still remains that there was a Jesus born of Mary who we Christians believe to be the Christ prophesied in the Old Testament as the New Covenant of and with God.
I know completely where you are coming from regarding these threads. It's been civil which has kept my interest.I am with you DD. I was trying to stay out of this thread. Lol
There is a lot of info out there about the life of Jesus, much of which contradicts the accepted gospels.
Either way, I always respect others opinions and faith. My commentary is never meant to attempt to convert anyone....more for discussion and information exchange.

I guess I responded directly to you because I always enjoy and learn a lot from your contributions regardless of any differences in opinion or faith. I appreciate you. Thanks.

Do you understand the methods they used to determine this well enough for yourself to know if it is an accurate method? It's a report by someone about something you yourself have zero ability to validate and yet you just take it on face value? proof that, that is the way it is, no arguments?
sorry, you'll never hear me spew such definitiveness

Science and medicine for centuries have had the definitive answers for everything until they later contradict themselves with the newest and greatest definitive.

notice key words "previously thought".."theory".."figured"The Planck space probe looked back at the afterglow of the Big Bang, and those results have now added about 80 million years to the universe's age, putting it at 13.81 billion years old.
The findings released Thursday bolster a key theory called inflation, which says the universe burst from subatomic size to its now-observable expanse in a fraction of a second.
The probe, named for the German physicist Max Planck, the originator of quantum physics, also found that the cosmos is expanding a bit slower than originally thought, has a little less of that mysterious dark energy than astronomers had figured and has a tad more normal matter. But scientists say those are small changes in calculations about the universe, whose numbers are so massive.
i'm not that arrogant to presume i'm "in the know", about things no man has actual definitive knowledge of
Agreed! Just making sure we're all paying attentioni understand, like all this discussion that has been going on in here (including yours B) - that this is all based on theory

but you cannot dispute, B, that this story was published and in the last week
