Primordial Performance 4-week contest for FREE AndroMass!

Cardio done for the day, was a bit hard considering i DESTROYED all my last weeks PR's on yesterday's leg session :D I've estimated I've lost at least 6lbs so far but its honestly really hard to tell exactly how much because last week i was 230 and now i'm 233 but i have been in a consistent calorie deficit and maintaining at least 200grams of protein per day. Honestly think i'm putting on some muscle :)

To be honest i'm really really satisfied with my progress since this contest started. The smaller my waist gets the bigger it makes EVERYTHING else look. My legs are starting to look ridiculous i'll post some poses at the end of this thing. I think i'm gonna do at least another month of dieting after this to get where i want to be before a possible PH or just keep going :)

its all about creating an illusion of size.......conversely wide shoulders and big legs will make the waist appear smaller
 
Ok, I posted pics on 5-8, so my 30 day mark is 6-7. Not gonna call myself "ripped" by any measure, but the change is noticeable indeed, can't wait to see what the next 8 days bring!

Down to 227 (-9lbs) as of this morning, I'm guessing it's from stop taking creatine but i do see a difference. Currently waiting for a phone call for a job interview but i'll go take care of my cardio later on in the day. :) Keep up all the hard work guys!
 
Apparently Ribs and Beer are not good if you are attempting a transformation. Damn Dreamland. Anyway, the scale said +2 lbs but I don't think I really ate that much this weekend. In my defense, I went with the Lite beer, but I showed why this should have been called Memorial Day "Weak-end".

Honestly it's more than likely water or a 2lb shlt waiting to happen there's no way you can put 2lbs of fat on in a weekend anyways so don't beat yourself up over it. Once you have the epic crap all will be normal again :wink1:
 
I'm sure you have all heard the phrase "I'm just one stomach virus away from my target weight", looks like I get to test the validity of that. ugh.

Eh, I fluctuate 10 pounds sometimes in a few days, just hit it hard for these last few days!

I wouldn't stress out over 2 lbs. Put it this way: that's only 32 oz of water. A good sprint session will get rid of that or.....

Is that a hard and fast decision? I was just thinking that no one even posted any pics until 5/8, so Saturday will be the 28th day. Regardless, I will (have too) deal with whatever decision is made. Just figured it would not hurt to ask.

Last Saturday was the 28th; this Saturday is the 4th.
 
LOL, No Rodja, I mean the 28th day since anyone posted pics as a measure of time, not as a calendar date.

That was a coincidence then. The contest is a 28 day contest, so it only makes sense to have pics up on that date (along with a newspaper). Remember, you're usually your driest in the morning.

Tiny, how did the job interview go?

Well i didn't get a call around 2-3pm so i went up to the meijer and asked if they had a chance to look at my application. I ended up talking to the store manager, he asked me a few questions about my previous jobs and i answered best i could. He told me that the lady was not in and would be back in a few days, also he asked me for my name and phone number. I'm like 99% sure i'm getting a call. Once i get in the interview room i'll work my charm :laugh:
 
Saturday morning will be a dry morning. I asked my local weather man. ;)

hahaha yah I'm just one trip through the desert with no water away from being my dryest... :frustrate
 
Well it's the last few days from the end of the contest and today i killed the cardio and then played disc golf with some friends for a good 4 hours! I was DEAD leaving the course and it didn't help that we had to walk through tall grass, thorns and mosquitoes all day to find our discs. From what i've read an average 180lb man would burn about 900 calories for every 2 hours of disc golf including throwing and walking. Well i'm 230lbs and we were there twice as long! Hopefully all this torture-like dedication shows. I do think i could have done better on the diet part on the first 2 weeks but hey you gotta learn somehow and i don't mind it. It'll be really satisfying for us all to see what we've done with ourselves these past 4 weeks and i don't plan on stopping! My plan is to get sub 10% :)

So, I rowed myself stupid... Ever since all the talk about sprints, I've been mentally preparing myself for it and today was the day.

I set the machine to watts to measure power at the exact moment. I did like three minutes of 125 watts to warm my body up and stretch out. Then I push myself as hard as I possibly can for about 1 minute. I waited till I felt my heart rate get to about 110 then went at it again as hard as I possibly could a second time. A bit over 500watts.

I thought I might have been having a heart attack for literally 45 minutes afterwords. Exerted myself way way beyond what I probably should have. I'm not sure if anybody ever uses the rowing machine, but I feel it gives you limitless ability to push yourself. I wish I had a heart rate monitor, I would not have been surprised if it was over 200bpm at 1 point.

I successfully held back puking by just a hair so I was thrilled.
 
Well, I was able to come back from my Memorial Day debacle. Hit the gym hard Tuesday and Wednesday. Well, hard for me. It's probably like warmup for many of you but I am trying. I am off today with no gym access but I am heading out to play some golf. It is going to reach 100 degrees here in Alabama so I should sweat plenty. Plus I am not very good, so I am sure I will have a similar experience that Tiny had as far as looking for lost items in the woods.
 
Not sure what results were like on the PP forums, but i'm doubting I lost much more than 1% bf through my own ****ty inconsistency. Oh well.
 
Do we need to be holding a dated newspaper for after pic's?

It's reckoning day gents, time to see what kind of results our efforts have wrought. Although I have a substantial ways to go, I am very pleased with the progress of the last 28 days.

First- The numbers:

Start: Weight - 275, waist - 44, hips - 41.5
Estimated BF - 19 % (52.5 fat, 222.75 LBM) Based on 3 point caliper of 59 and

(with waist and hips rounded up, wrist of 8", forearm 14.125.)

Finish: Weight - 266, waist 42.25, hips - 41
Estimated BF based on 3 point caliper of 42 = 14% ( I am skeptical about this)

=16.4 (43.5 fat, 222.5 LBM) based on age 42, weight 266, waist rounded down to 42, hip at 41, wrist 8, forearm 14.125.

I am going to average the 2 and call it 15.2%, the pics will tell the story:

(Looks like a loss of 9 pounds of fat and a minor 1/4 pound of LBM if we go w/ the 16.4 number, or (40.432 lbs fat and 225.568 LBM) for a loss of 12.068 lbs of fat lost and about a 3 pound gain of LBM if we go with the 15.2)

Not too excited about my after pics either... but I am "lighter/smaller" than in the before ones... Oh well I really am glad for the motivation and push this contest has given me and helped me build some steam and I am gonna continue trying to "rip up" and continue to log my trials and tribulations in the log in my sig...

I know pic's will tell it all but my drive cannot be captured right now because it's too early and i need more time but i have my mindset on what i want to accomplish and i feel i could greatly benefit as well as you could from a detailed log provided by me. :afro:

IT'S SO HOT OUT IT'S CRAZY I HAD TO DRINK LIKE 4 BOTTLES OF WATER TO DO CARDIO LOL

My entry will be following shortly. My wife and I went to visit her folks in rural. Montana. I had to drive 30 minutes to get a daily paper today, and I will be trying to post my pics and via my cellphone browser.

After:
All in all I'm down from 223 lbs to 216 lbs, and that's even after a day of travel followed by a day of eating good 'ol farm food and ice cream at the nearest small town's annual summer parade. I was feeling bloated as heck this morning.

The BF calculators I used last time now place my BF% at 20.5 and/or 21%.
I hope the pics do ok. I just got a new Droid X2 and I hate the darn thing with a passion. Ended up using my wife's Iphone because I forgot our camera.

Wow. Everybody did really well considering it was such a small time period.

I for one will say without this contest I would not have worked as hard as I have. That in itself has made this all worth it.

My girl is at work till late late tonight. :( So I won't be able to get her to take pics until much later tonight. But I got the news paper on standby!

I went into more detail on my log but don't really think its applicable here especially because that web tool is reading me very low. (7.5%ish)

My final weigh in is 173 Down only 2 lbs, but my goal from the beginning has been to loose fat while adding muscle. It is easy to see that I'm down a lot more then 2lbs.
