Police shoot man

Damn straight...it could be perfectly reasonable to shoot an unarmed, subdued man in the back. Who are YOU to Judge.

Until you have BEEN the head of the Nazi Regime, who are YOU to judge the Holocaust and Hitler?

AMEN BROTHER.

How does anyone defend that ****ing prick? I have trained/coached many law enforcement officers in FCAT and this situation in no way warranted that level of force. The subject was prone, cuffed, and offered no resistance. This act is absolutely abhoring to me and I don't give a damn if I have never been an active police officer, there is no ****ing logic or justification for his actions.

I AGREE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The officer has now been charged with murder. This does not make me happy. Here is a man who has been protecting our country for at least three years that I know of. He was an officer for two, and served in the Iraq Conflict as a soldier for at least one year. Here's a man who has been doing the two most "noble" jobs a man can do in this country, sentenced to go to prison for 50 to life.

Nobility is defined by one's actions, not one's occupation. There are plenty of noble and shitty cops and soldiers. Not every cop gives a **** about the public nor is every soldier protecting the US every time they cut a fart on foreign soil. It is more than possible for cops and soldiers to be used by others and to behave on their own in ways contrary to the benefit of the nation and public they supposedly serve.

So he has two choices. Apply koolaid to his lips and tie his shirt into a tube top knot. Or, he'll find a "click" to join. The "click" will likely congratulate his "accomplishment." This man's life is ruined, if not ended. Another man is already dead. End of story.

Yeah, and that other mad is dead because of this cop and with as far as we know, no justification for that end.

We all see what happened, but what was the policeman's intent? Maybe something that was totally out of his control 'inspired' him to make that choice. Something that could effect us all in the same way, to make an erroneous choice even if we had the best of intentions. Would you still judge this man the same in that case?

Well, first he punches this other guy in the face 3 times or so, the other guy is not being violent at all. THEN he shoots the other guy, while hes on his back, point blank range, come on man... this guy wasn't expecting there to be any camera footage of this.

Did you know the police department confiscated the train station videotapes and said the cams didn't work or some ****? What GARBAGE. corrupt bitches.

I hope this guy goes to jail for a long time, I'm sick of this police state we're heading towards.. this guy should not get any sympathy, he's a cop, BIG DEAL, he's a human like you or me, and some are just evil bastards.

depends what you are referring to....demonic possession?

Using that principle, nobody anywhere can ever be judged, including the man raping your daughter. Hmmm...seems like a flawed approach to life.

I don't know what the perception is. Anyone know who Amadou Diallo was? If these losers weren't acting like savages, there would have been no contact with the police, period. Stop acting like an animal, you'll stop dying in this fashion. I'm really baffled, people really think this poor bastard woke up that morning and said, "Hmmmm, I think I'll execute some scum bag today on a rush hour train platform with hundreds of people watching." That's f v cking insane! In this political environment, youtube, everyone has a friggin camera, you'd be a fool. Fact is, this was most likely a tragic accident, nothing more. I reiterate, stop drawing police attention by acting like an as shole and you'll go home in one piece.

Please explain how another unnarmed victim of police brutality (being shot over 40 times) was acting like a savage? He was coming home from work, he fit a description (black male) and he was killed. Savagery? I happened to be 2 blocks from where this happened and it sounded like the OK-****ing-Coralle.

I'd just like to say, scotty2 is completely confused. Either he is with the government thus for the cops and army getting unlimited power and such, like he says they should have basically.. or he is not thinking at all and is making a severe blunder.

This to you and JayHawk too, because he said "intent is everything".

That guy's family don't know what the cop's intention was, all they know is that their son is dead and that cop killed him.

I just don't see how intent matters in this case, it makes no difference to me how/why you killed a member of my family or a good friend, all I know and care about is that you killed them and justice will be served as I and immediate family of that person(if it's a friend) deem it appropriate.

Just because they have a court system that says "You must come through us for your justice" doesn't mean sh*t to me, I'm not trusting strangers to deal with a family issue.

X2

Maybe because he wasn't white, we all know colored people are always up to no good! :squintfinger:

**** this ****. That police officer better be treated just as harsh as anyone else who shoots someone by accident!

If that happened to one of my family members and the police officer walked... I would not ****ing hesitate to murder him.

Those kids looked harmless and were not fighting.

Thet were probably searched and known to be unarmed.

That could be you and it could be me. The wrong place at the wrong time, pissed off for being mistreated for nothing.

The cop who shoots him in the first video actually looks suprised afterwards.

... Did you know the police department confiscated the train station videotapes and said the cams didn't work or some ****? What GARBAGE. corrupt bitches.

OK, then that rules out my initial suspicion. I thought maybe this was a staged event to further desensitize people to loss of civil rights. It's hard to institute blatant fascism unless you've already got 'em used to constant brutality.

... and some are just evil bastards.

Yeah. Some men give up and let their hearts grow cold. Their seared conscious can no longer discriminate justice, just CYA and **** the truth. Big, big mistake though.

This is only the beginning though bro, so be advised. I know you Ubiyca. You're a good man and been a friend of mine for a long time now. You better never lose heart! You're too tough to quit. :rambo:

I just don't understand why he shot him in the first place, even if he did mean to tazer him? Why would he even need to? Maybe something was said at the scene, maybe they warned him that he would be tazed, and the officer made a mistake?

I agree with whoever said that he needs to be tried just like everyone else who involved in an accident like this.

It's just that in the video, it looks like he meant to do it!

So much speculation here it isn't funny.

Another similar tail of "police justice":

Fulton conviction overturned for cop in 92-year-old’s killing
Arthur Tesler still awaits sentencing after conviction on federal civil rights charges

By BILL RANKIN
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Thursday, January 15, 2009

The Georgia Court of Appeals on Thursday reversed the conviction of Arthur Tesler, the former Atlanta police officer sentenced to prison for lying to FBI agents about the botched drug-raid killing of 92-year-old Kathryn Johnston.

The court said Fulton County prosecutors failed to prove an essential element of the crime — where it was committed.

“The state was obligated to prove that the FBI office was located in Fulton County,” Chief Judge Yvette Miller wrote. “Its admitted failure requires us to reverse Tesler’s conviction.”

Tesler’s lawyer, William McKenney, called the ruling “terrific news” and said he hopes it will help Tesler’s sentencing next month in federal court.

District Attorney Paul Howard could not be reached Thursday for immediate comment.

After his May conviction in Fulton County, Tesler was sentenced to four years and six months in prison. He did not fire any shots the night of the November 2006 killing.

In October, Tesler pleaded guilty to federal civil rights charges for his role in the botched raid that shocked the nation and led to revelations that Atlanta cops were faking warrants to make drug cases. Tesler is to be sentenced in federal court Feb. 20.

McKenney called the ruling a “mixed blessing” because the court also found the evidence supported the jury’s finding that Tesler lied to federal agents. “The end result is that it leaves the question of a retrial still open,” he said.

If you're not familiar w/ the incident, a 92-year-old black woman was killed by members of the local 'red-dog' drug squad - when she appeared before the unidentified officers to protest them breaking into her house in the middle of the night...which had been fingered by "an informant" as a drug distribution point.

The garbage "featured" in *this* article is THE ONLY PERSON CHARGED in the incident. However, officials apologized to the surviving family members for murdering their granny, so that makes everything right, I'm sure.

Police officers are public servants - not saints, not angels, but fallible humans who are given a grave responsibility. Failures in that responsibility must be taken extremely seriously by departments, governments and citizens. They are NOT given authority to kill at their own whim, no matter WHAT some character in a movie says.

In the Oakland case, there may well be mitigating circumstances - but in no way should they be allowed to whitewash the fact that he shot and killed a compliant person effectively in custody. Or do we just WANT to be a banana 'republic', where every cop is 007 & the only law is 'don't get between their rich and their money'?

It would probably help if police departments would STOP hiring combat veterans fresh from deployment (after Desert Storm, any ex-soldier with a taste for carrying weapons could have his pick of police (& police-like) jobs, no questions asked).

A general end to the militarization of civilian law enforcement, and a definite end to the laws that make it 'necessary', like drug laws, would be a nice way to start.

A cop shot a kid in the back. What will you do when cops start shooting kids in your backyard? I think as the globe warms, people will start feeling the heat. Hear what I'm saying Matt. Police and other authority agencies are people too, and susceptible to the same human weaknesses as you and me. To compound that, maybe some of them are also deep into a compromised position and aren't sure how to get out now. I pray that more of them take their nuts back and face the personal responsibility of their involvements, but it's their choice and I'm sure many more will fall victim to bad choices. Focus your concerns on YOUR personal choices and responsibilities, not somebody else that you can't choose for anyway.

All I can say is thank GOD someone caught this on video otherwise you'd have NEVER heard anything about it. I didn't read about the cops trying to hide the station's surveillance but I absolutely believe it. This (along with many other gross acts of misconduct) happen more often than you know. But every once in a while, someone is able to document it. These people that caught it should also be glad that they were able to get away because their lives would have been in danger had they been caught. Does this sound like America to you? And whoever said the police are there to protect and serve are naive. They are there to apprehend perpetrators. Nothing more nothing less.

Among other things the world could use more empathy.

I agree with whoever mentioned the prison specifically for police officers. Sounds like a good idea. Then they can't complain about being mixed with general pop.

We are all human, the power of law enforcement is a heavy burden to bear but it is a chosen position that warrants no special treatment for commiting the crimes they swear to protects us from.

A criminal is a criminal and by the definition of the law should be treated as one regaurdless of the uniform they wear when commiting crimes.

I imagine its extremely difficult to be an officer.. If you cant take the heat....

Indeed my friend. People lose touch with their spiritual reality, and it robs them of their greatest source of power. It also initiates a futile materialistic struggle that can not be won! Death strips it all away from everyone one day. Why die bitter and blinded? Love is the only sure winner here.

I'd rather die bitter and blinded, under my own power, than cuffed and helpless on my stomach at the mercy of a rogue cop.

And they should be subject to the same damn rules and punishment, too.

Yes, but is that really the pertinent issue? I agree with you that it should be like that, but that's no excuse to deny the reality that it's not! Start considering the reasons it's not, and true implications of those reasons, that's what really matters at this point. After that, you have a chance to see how these little pieces resonate into a bigger puzzle starting to luminesce out of the blackness.

There are many many factors to consider, and I know as a thinking man that if anyone could appreciate my point it would be you CDB.

OK, so how is your attitude gonna insure that result then? How is condemning that cop gonna persevere your situation? Be honest with yourself. What real power do you have to change it? It takes more than talk, actions are required. This negative arguing changes nothing, when we could unite and start coming up with positive solutions!

To grasp the feelings, sounds and actions behind the death of a human being is very life changing. Theres no glamour, prestige nor nobility in killing another human being.

I think the world is full of missdeeds, unfounded violence and unneccessary bloodshed. Meaning theres no room for more pain in a place destined to be paradise. The idea that we see imaginary lines in the sand with our maps and differences in our nature and origin are fatal error.

Its easy to be mad at this cop with a camera trained on him, and globally north america supports bloodshed equally disturbing and noone seems bothered because videos of their death are not the subject of this conversation.

People will die, continually, it wont stop until we stop it. Unfortunately it takes the average man or woman to lose someone close to them before they realise that people are people and not "the enemy" a "terrorist" "black" "paki" or that death does not solve the worlds issues.

In the face of pain and anger no solution is present, only more of the same bloodshed paired with more pain and anger.

The solution is act the way you wish to be treated treat others as if they were you, empathy. Never accept death as a solution to a problem for it was likely death that created it, respect. Breed the qualities that you would have your children live under as in time the will inherit the world we helped form, peace.

Kindness, compassion and love shape a planet that does not need policing, confinement or persecution. The task is large the goals infinitly rewarding and the time is now.

That man did not have to die and we dont have to fight over it. cheers.

This is the unbalanced freedom we have in America today.

This is he government that "protects" you.

It will only get worse over time. Eventually our lives will be far less free because of our "freedom".

Cops like that, need a noose around their neck, air below their feet.

Other than that, are you really surprised? The way our nation is, this is the least of your worries. Its just a shame a man had to die because of idiots playing cops.

You know, I wonder. If it is not illegal to form a militia, if you form a large enough one. say 50,000 strong. Then institute an agency that functions as police/detectives run by normal people who are ex police, ex military, respectable people with intelligence. The government would wizz its pants and probably destroy it by any means. What does this prove? That the government wants 100% control, and has already turned on us.

Condemning, and punishing, the cop works as any other form of legal consequence - both as deterrent to others contemplating stepping over that line and insuring that no other parties are harmed by FUTURE actions of this individual that has now proven his inability to control himself when given authority and privilege.

And The Golden Rule only works as an overriding principle where Game Theory doesn't apply - so basically nowhere.

I know for us more intelligent people it may be hard to believe, but what if it really was an accident? Then, and only then, do none of these theories apply.

Cops are trained NOT to have their fingers on the trigger until they are ready to fire.

If it can be demonstrated HOW this could have been an accident, then that might slightly change the discussion - then again, not really.

Most law enforcement are poorly trained short bastards with chips on their shoulder's anyway. Forgive me, I meant no offense to anyone who may be a member of law enforcement here at AM.

I'm not a trained law enforcement officer, and even I know how easy it is for a twitch to fire off an unintended round.

Common sense + rudimentary intelligence + training = effective officers.

Hahaha
1) totally offensive stereotype
2) apology and recognition of #1
3) asking for forgiveness for #'s 1,2. lol

Its clearly a joke but i read it like it was serious the first pass.

No, all training, cops, military, etc. Your trigger finger rests along the gun, not on trigger unless you are ready to fire. I doubt there was any reason for him to be ready to fire at a man in that poor fellows position.

Those cops were being idiots from the start. You know in Vegas, every cop can be bought? America is too easy on the "bad guys" and especially in the gray areas. The government actually could care less about this incident.

So why are so many banks failing, and scamming people? Why is the US dollar crashing? Why are cops shooting restrained kids in the back, right in front of witnesses, and don't even care? Why are wars and rumors of war increasing so dramatically now? Look at Israel, look at the big name economist predicting civil war here! WTF is going on with the weather and climate changes on every planet in the dam solar system? Why did I have to sign a parental release so my kids could watch the blatantly "gay" azz Obama inauguration? (because even the school district's lawyers were ashamed and disgusted at how non-family oriented it was planned) Why are your civil rights and provisions to protect yourself under fire, when the cops clearly can't protect you either? Why is congress subsidizing billions of dollars for HDTV converters? Companies are closing left and right, we have an insane economic crisis, but they sure wanna make sure we don't miss out on high definition television. That doesn't seem odd? Well... maybe the cops don't care anymore because it won't matter much longer anyway! I mean really, there's no point in steering if the wheel's out anyway, right? (lol, Strange Brew quote)

When you don't have power for months straight and people get hungry and desperate and scared, there will be no legal system my friend. The system will be stashed away where they don't have to deal with the sh!t, and you'll be left to your own self-reliance. Did you read the link I posted? In that official release from NASA last week, it states that they anticipate "A catastrophic failure of commercial and government infrastructure..." peaking in the next 3 years. As sensitive as this issue could get, you can bet that's a very very sugar coated statement to begin with. It's gonna happen even worse than that or they wouldn't have thrown you the bone and said anything.

This is only the beginning, and your faith in legal consequences is dangerously naive. Legal consequences only apply when there's an operational legal system! Listen, they are trying to warn us to "rush to prepare" now, so wake up and smell the warning. Only fools will ignore these official government warnings. Stop b!tching about cops, read between the lines, and think about the bigger picture.

You and I have touched on this briefly, in private, and I would have hoped that you grasped that we are in agreement. However, while there is still a semblance of society functioning, we still have to use it with the premise that it is what we CHOOSE (and it IS what we choose, whether or not the system is "rebooted" by catastrophe).

For now, we still function under the pretense of a legal system, and this cop violated the law. He should be punished accordingly.

The day we say "**** it" is the day that it is too late to avert disaster.

DR.D You are a wise, wise man my friend, godbless you and everyone here. :beerchug:

On another note, what's your opinion on purchasing years' supply of storable food?

I probably won't do it, even though all signs point to a coming economic collapse (by design, of course) thing is, 1,000$ or so for 1 person for 1 year, and I have 3 other family members.. what about you though? Hmm, all this talk of this stuff is making me want to do a real Havoc cycle while I still can... :bb3:

You give me too much credit because I'm not that smart, but thanks for bearing with me anyway. :)
Whether a society of 300 or 300 millions, eventually you have to decide on the rules you choose to maintain civility.

If (when) this whole thing bites the shitstorm, like it or not their AIN'T no magic Rapture coming. We will likely bear a short, or extended, time of chaos and anarchy - but as we once again grasp that there is more advantage in cooperation, we will form into small parties, then towns, then cities once again. Inevitably, division of labor and specialization will once again become pronounced - with those whose "job" it is to apply force (within the agreed upon laws and restrictions) in order to maintain a balance of rights.

If anything, I am convinced that Nietzsche was right, and this whole thing wil repeat ad infinitum...which then brings the question of principle and belief. Are you one of the mob? A bandit? A thief? A rapist? A robber? An enslaver?

these issues we have faced from time's beginning will come again...tribe against tribe - do we enslave the defeated, or maintain basic human rights for all? Do we TAKE what we feel we want, leaving others to die?

In the end, the mirror, though broken, will never disappear from in front of our eyes...and conscience, whether in the guise of god or human decency, is what we choose to value.

The government has countless FEMA camps setup across the country for when the economy collapses, THEN civil riots will commense after awhile, which is why they have the army patrolling U.S streets, it's not to protect us from invisible terrorists, but to protect themselves from us. These FEMA camps are for the people when martial law is declared, they are all fully staffed and fully operational and are all EMPTY right now, but not for long..

Evil men have ruled the world for a long time and we were coming into the final stages of their plans.

:bb3:

Well thank you and God bless you too old friend. :) I thank God for all my friends. It's an honor to know men like you. Also, God bless every other man that has the courage to seek and stand for truth!

Yeah, I did it. Had an 18-wheeler drop off a pallet of food. I have a wife and 3 kids so my supply is essentially only 1 year, lol. Got lots of supplies. Food, water purification, meds and essential vits, batteries, you name it. It doesn't hurt to be ready, it only hurts when you're not ready. ;) I don't intend to give irresponsible advice (and I think Matt is right about business as usual) but definitely keep a 2012 inflection point in mind. PCT is soon to become a non-issue. It's about time to get strong and stay strong. If you're on limited cals, it's obvious what a protein sparing compound will contribute. Also, vigilance will be a necessity, if you know what I mean. Talk to Rob if you need financial advice because he's sincere and wise in this area, and err on the side of caution when it comes to protecting your family. A man can live (or die) with full honor if he gives his best.

Im sure you'll get flamed for this ive made a few threads months ago about a depression, fema camps, globalist, bankers and the general downturn in human evolution.
Its crazy i know, i like to dabble in crazy just like crazy people need hormones to get more muscle for nothing, ive done that too.

For the new world to come the old has to dissapear completely so it is those with a denying head in the ground ideology that will cling to this madness and allow it to linger longer than needed.

Ive consumed my life at times with doomsday theories, true or rediculous, and realised that all i can do is be the best person i can be. Wether or not the world ended tommorow or never i should still be against corruption, greed and lack of regaurd for human life. One day at a time being kindness and love.

We will see the falling of the modern day Roman Empire. And by that I mean America. Mark this word. RESET. It will be the new breath of life for Americans. Think of it though.

Should our government finally crumble. Then banks and businesses recognized by the government fails. A huge crisis will exist, and the nation as a whole will "burn". But it could be a good and needed thing. Such as when a wildfire ravages a forest, the trees grow back rich and strong. The American Debt issue would be resolved if all the banks failed. And in a new America, with a "fresh start" every one would literally be facing a second chance. Yeah the rich and wealthy and those simply well off will complain. But thats because no one cares about the "Greater Good". Save for a select few who get used and abused, chivalry is dead.

Besides. The freedoms that instilled a great honor and pride into our people, now only serves to destroy our nations very integrity as our "freedom" is perverted and abused. The changes in America's ways of living from 1950 to now has been nothing but a slow fall into animalistic living.

During a time of governmental transition, new documents and rules would be drawn up, martial law would be in effect. You can dang bet the NRA would do a decent job of solving a good chunk of our "gang issue" the good old fashioned way. Besides, it would give some real leaders a chance to step up, without retarded requirements of political science, aka the "science of lies".

I love my country, but i feel like a soldier in a regiment that has gone bad, and is no longer soldiers but a bunch of scavengers and womanizers.

Over the last 15 years they have stripped us of the right to bear arms. They tax and charge the crap out of you to have any fire arms rights. And shun any idea of militia which each state is entitled to. In the 90's they asked US soldiers if they would fire on US citizens of ordered, most said no. That is why the US has made certain agreements with other nations for military divisions. So who is ready to strap up with an AK and take on a corrupt government? Why do you think its so illegal for the good guys to have firearms...

Hey, history repeats itself. This wont be a civil war life before, it will be a bloody battle against an oppressor. We originally broke away from England due to taxes. THEN WHY are they taking 25% of my check each week, when God only asks 10%? And then they blow the taxes on their own paychecks. The fact that America so full of people in debt is why the economy will die completely. No one can spend anything because the bank is making money off interest. Which means that more money is being owed than what is out there technically.

if in a circle you have 20 bucks, you have 10 of it. You loan that out, at 10% interest. a week. The guy works for the other guy who has 10 of it. he makes 5 bucks a week. by the time he can pay you back(lets say all at once) there is 2 extra dollars in the economy of the circle that are owed, but only 20 bucks to circulate. It ends up the guy has 12, and the rest has 8 to circulate.

If he had went 11 weeks without paying he would owe 21 dollars. the economy only has 20......so....

And here you have the model of why America will have no economy. I have a large sum of debt. I put zero back into the economy now save for gas and food. Which also causes discontent. A nation full of discontent will perish.

The only way to get saved this time is if America does a "reset" as in sacrifice the banks to save the people or America is "reborn" via revolutionary war.

Oboma is right. Change is coming...

Ugh... Obama is bought and paid for by the global elite.

You have no idea what is going on, everything that is happening is happening by design.

One of their goals is mass human depopulation, a reduction of approx 80-90% of the world population, down to 500,000 million people.

These people will have no rights, they will essentially be slaves.

Is it crucial for the economy to collapse, so they can introduce their solution... a one world financial institution, followed by one world army, police, religion, everything.

Yes, change is coming, mass human genocide among other things.

There is no way out of this, the people who are going to force this upon us have been ruling the planet for many, many years, we're just lucky enough to be here for one of their final goals...

Zero sum gain is completely inaccurate and very outdated. while some resources are finite, improvements i technlogy and efficiency increase the amount of wealth available....it's not "stuck" at $20.

This is a trick used by communists and those bent on redistribution.

My views are not as out out as you think. You just like arguing with me. you hate the idea of me having an idea. It applies the same today to a nation that is completely in debt. How is the government going to get us out of debt when it is in debt itself, and its trying to use borrowed money to aid people, who in turn cant spend it on economy, they just put it into their debt. The economy does not see money.

If they want a 500 million pop cap, and a 1 world army thing, under 1 rule... well.... a certain "Book" already said that was going to happen. Let it. You seem to forget many of us would fight and die for freedom. Also it means were one step closer to a certain time period many of us are waiting for.
