This is not the time for me to compete in a strength contest, as I am currently training for a marathon and being hypocaloric by about -1300 kcals a day (below maintenance). Therefore, I was quite happy with my results even though they where way below my PBs.

I had some problems editing the videos together. I filmed it with a tablet, but transfering the files to my PC i got frame rate issues (it plays some clips in slow motion for some reason). That is why one of the clips is uploaded directly to youtube, I could not get it in with the others.

Anyway:

Chins: 30 (PB 45 with narrow grip)
Chins w/ weight: 194 lbs bw + 135 lbs for 5 reps (can't remember PB)
Dips: 55 (PB 121)
Dips w/ weight: 194 lbs bw + 165 lbs for 5 reps (PB: 5x bw+220 lbs)

(Yes, I choose the ****ty music on purpose:D)

52 dips, a very shaky final rep lol.

I was PMed by BDCC but my postcount is just too low to reply :D

So I have to reply here. It was regarding my chins videos, where the angle isn't perfect. Here is my reply:

Sorry about that. I did not have anybody to help me today, and I could not see properly what I was filming. I can upload the originals which are in 1920x1080 px and you can study them frame by frame:) You can see the arm angle at any given time, which I believe is what the rules where. I can make a new vid tomorrow if desirable, just to confirm the result, which will be early morning in the us (I am in Norway, CET) if there is any doubt wether or not they where strict enough.

The reason why I cannot instantly make a new chins video is because it is soon midnight here, and the gym is now closed :D

If you have the originals that have your head always in the frame rather than popping up above the camera lens then I will sit and click frame by frame to verify them lol. All in the interest of being fair. :)

Sorry, nothing is cut from the video...but since one can see the reflection in the mirror together with the angle of the arm, it should not be too difficult to judge.

I'll happily make a confirmation video tomorrow, just to "prove" it.

Ok, here is what we will do for any videos that need clarification- you can film them tomorrow and if you can match or beat the rep numbers you did in the last video we will accept it as proof.

If you do more in the next video we will still take your first score so nobody else in the competition has the advantage of you having another day.

This will be both of your pull up videos. Deal? :)

It is bad enough arguing about ROM on dips before getting onto squats lol.

Completely forgot to do the damn pull ups, and pretty sure I would have placed. Anyways here are my dips 44 :(

Also, sorry about the horrible quality, had to use my buddy's phone as mine was acting up :(

About to take my girl to the gym, might attempt the pull ups if I have it in me :)

Had to give it one more go... Stopped on my way home from work and gave each one more go...oh also I weigh myself in the weighted dips vid which shows my weight at 185.2lbs...Bw dips x 56Weighted dips bw 185.2+ 157.5lbsBw pull ups x 32Weighted pull ups +125An tried the dips one more time before leaving x56

Daft, you are a beast man. Personally, I think you are the only one who had a good range of motion on your dips. Good **** man

All approved videos are listed below.

I have requested new videos from some entries because I cannot approve them under their current conditions. Therefore they have 24 hours to resubmit their videos, if their technique is good and they achieve the same reps (or more) as before then I will take the score they originally submitted as an approved score. This takes away any advantage they would have from having another day to shoot it- it is just for verification purposes.

Those requiring verification have not been included in the scoreboard so these are not the final rankings.

Final rankings and winners will be announced in 24 hours.

So far;

Good job everyone. For a second I thought I was going to walk away with all four. Honestly, I'm glad I didn't. I now have new goals and a higher standard for what high reps truly means. Because of all this friendly competition I have set some huge PRs in dips, pull-ups, bench, military, and rows. Also, I never realized how much dips really hit my chest. I haven't done them in a year because they never seemed to hit any particular muscle well for me, but when I go super heavy or max rep they destroy my chest and tris. Thanks for the new/re-found chest and tri builder, and thanks for pushing me to work harder.

Congrats to everyone who entered the competition, especially to evandem and daft. You two definitely inspired me to work harder.

Finally, thanks to bdcc and PES for sponsoring this awesome competition. I will be more than happy to run a log of any products I buy. You guys have some awesome products, and I can't wait to use and help get the word out about your products.

This generous promotion destroys any free tub of protein! Over like what 700 bucks?! Of gift cards and shirts?! That's way to nice of you guys!!! Appreciate it and had fun following it :)

Dammm bro!! Much appreciate it! All your vids were impressive!

Here is confirmation video, where you can see more of the movements. Kept getting out of balance on the BW dips, but still went ok. Felt technique was better yesterday. Anyways...

I got a PM that the weights in my dip video where not clearly visible enough. Here is a longer cut of the video, for confirmation purposes:

Very nice work by all that entered and excellent work to all the winners! Congrats guys! Keep up the hard work of improving on where you are at!

This is good to hear. The idea was that it would be fun to enjoy and give people a reason to be motivated as well as giving out loads of prizes. The entries have far surpassed what I was hoping we would get.

The messages to all who need to resubmit have been sent and have a time frame on when to do so. All winners should be announced within 2 days at the latest. Hopefully it will be tomorrow. :)

This type of giving by PES shows why they stand behind their products and support the BB community...keep it up guys

I lost and this sucks due to the gym being a ass hole I could have a fighting chance but this really sucks.

I feel very similiar. I mean what a blast this comp was! This whole thing has been super motivating and productive and has me more driven to make gains than ever. A huge thank you and congrats goes all to all the competitors- what a strong group of dudes- plus the sportsmanship and comradery have been excellent keeping the comp very competitive yet still fun.

A big shout out to my man legacyfighter- dude you are a BEAST- seeing you putting up those numbers motivated me to keep pushing harder and farther than I thought could- man it would be sick to train with you! Also Evan- how the hell are so strong kid! 18, fugg, Damn brotha you got a bright future in this game! Nergy, tuton, and djbomb- all also great competitors- man I wish I had guys like you bros in my gym, we would certainly train together! Thanks for all the great competition fellas!

Lastly, what else can we say about PES- great products, incredible customer service, extremely generous promotions- and they got super rep bdcc working for em= winning! Seriously though, a major thank you is due to pes, and specifically bdcc! Ben(bdcc) kept this running smoothly, was encouraging and supportive to all competitors, all while keeping it very fair and unbiased. These kind of promotions can be tough to keep everyone happy and ben really did an excellent job and should be commended. Truly a stand up guy and pes is lucky to have him.

Thank you both for the kind words. Mike specifically for the shout out- it means a lot.

We have two entries with a chance to resubmit their clips (one for shallow ROM and the other for a poor camera angle). If these are not received in a few hours their entries won't count and the winners will be announced.

Either way, the final scoreboard will be revealed shortly! :)
