Feeling good physical as far as muscle goes. Seeing some abs but still working on that spare tire.

Nice workout. This time of year I love legs. The rest of the year meh!

Ok looking for opinions here.. who uses a weightlifting belt? When do you know it’s time to get one?

I use one anytime I Squat, DL, or Rack Pull. Period.

I only put mine on when i get above 90% of max on squats and deads. I read something somewhere once (i know thats real specific lol but i cant remember) it said that you should only need to use a belt when going above 90%. It definitely helps when going really heavy

Thats probably true, and I can agree with this but since I broke my neck and back. I use it for all Squats, DL, and Rack Pulls.

Dave Tate has a Beyond 5/3//1 where I am pretty sure he wants 75% and less beltless. That’s been my go to as long as I am healthy.

I'm the same. I always wear one when squatting and deadlifting for sure. But for squat and deadlift most of the time I go heavy for 3-5 reps so that's why I always have one.

I got mine when I decided I was gonna go heavy again on dead’s. Bought the B.B.com fake inzer one lever action for $30 and use it once a week

It was a rough workout. We had a crazy storm with super high winds. It took out some power lines right by my gym and knocked out the power to a big chunk of the city. There is a 2nd GoodLife gym in another part of town so I went to it. It’s like night and day. It was brutal! The equipment barely had any weights on it and they were sorted at all. Different group of people just taking up space and it’s also just dirty! Got my main 5/3/1 bench in and added some other stuff in but cut it short and got out of there.

For the short workout I had some serious pumps going!

Solid workout. Hitting my numbers. I reset m 5/3/1 so these are all numbers I’ve hit before. Accessory lifts are still going up.

My hunger has been tough to control the last few days. The power being out hasn’t helped with bad food choices. Honestly this one is tough to say what has caused it but I do feel like overall my mood has been better. I don’t get as grumpy as often. My job has changed so it has also had a large impact on my life. My diet hasn’t been too bad but I’m going to continue to dial in tomorrow. I think I’ll do updates pics at 2 weeks

Very very active rest day! Spent the entire day outside digging out bushes, raking, shovelling and cutting down trees!

Rewarded myself with this baby!

Ok so I got some blood results back. I got an overall test done and asked them to include testosterone levels. Well from what I’ve seen you guys all talking about in other threads and levels. I’m not sure what exactly they tested me for. My level is 22.3 and the ref range they have is 7.6-31.4 nmol/L

There are a bunch of other things I’d have to google to figure out what they are lol

Idk if those measures are different in Canada like other measures are but I’m 216 and that’s inconceivable low so I hope for your sake your not actually 22.3

Maybe they are just using a different unit for measuring levels or something.

Hit my shoulders last night and today was an off day. Long hours so it’s time to rest. I work another long one tomorrow but I’ll hopefully hit my squats tomorrow night.


Thought on Major Gains

- I’m not sure if I’m having some deeper sleeps? There has been a couple mornings that I just felt like a zombie trying to get up even after a decent length sleep.

I’ve decided to go for it this summer and get it cleaned up. 4 large trees cut down to clean up plus a few other small ones. Ripped out some gardens as well! I love doing grunt work!

I’ve decided to go for it this summer and get it cleaned up. 4 large trees cut down to clean up plus a few other small ones. Ripped out some gardens as well! I love doing grunt work!
Very nice! I’ve been going at it myself. A little bit at a time, but i’ve been procrastinating and not ordering a large dumper to be delivered so i can clear it all out at once. Been doing 1 garden trash bucket full a week.
