I think free weights are better for overall developement of the various support muscles needed to stabilize the movement. I like the machines as finishing exercises though. For true functional strength....Free Weights!!
I agree. I find that the hammerstrength actually shapes my chest better, and gives better size... but really doesn't do as much for my free weight strength. I've thought many a time about giving up free weight bb bench... it might be a good thing for me in the long run to stick with Dumbells and hammerstrength. Maybe when I am a few years older or when if my shoulder gets clicky again.

I'm in complete agreement here. I "feel" the contractions much better with the Hammer Strength machines. And I feed my ego at the same time. LOL It is fun to load 4 big wheels on each side and then blast out 8 to 10 reps with it. I like the safety factor involved as well. I feel much "froggier" and am willing to load machines down with gruesome weights.
But the dumbells are the very best for both strength and shape IMO. I prefer DB movements over Barbell moves these days.
But I will openly admit that it was years of pushing hard on basic exercises with Barbells that made me as strong as I am now. And I still do BB exercises. I just do MORE DB and machine work now that I have a lot of mass to work with.
Take for instance yesterday's Chest workout:
Incline Machine Presses
Incline Barbell Presses
Incline DB Flyes then going straight into DB Incline Presses (pre-exhaust sets)
Pec-Deck Superset with CableCrossovers
We need to utilize all the available tools we have at our disposal to maximize our muscular potential. :yup:
These preexhaust sets are what I have been doing the past few weeks for chest while I am babying my tendonitis. Funny how heavy the 55lb dumbells get on that 3rd set. My chest is actually sitting up like a shelf too.

I am really enjoying this cycle thus far. My muscles seem to already be getting denser, my girlfriend said that my chest felt bigger as she was leaning on me when we were watching a movie together. She also randomly said my shoulders looked bigger at the gym the other day.She knows I am taking this stuff, so I told her, just wait a few weeks... :twisted:
My libido is way up, it was from almost the beginning of the cycle. Strength and vascularity seem to be rising. My weight is at 195, so that is 2 lbs gained in the past 1 1/2 weeks.
These liquid pro-hormones are so much better it seems than the tab form. It is really too bad to see these go bye bye cause of the govmt, I might have to splurge on another cycle before they are gone. Hopefully the new "natty" hormones that are coming out can utilize this or similar technology.
Right on!! The pre-exhaust sets are brutal. I love them. And the pump is unreal!! They blow your muscles up like balloons.
And you don't need as much weight on your 2nd basic exercise that follows the isolation exercise. So you are doing your tendonitis and your muscles a favor by using them.
Keep your focus on form and getting good contractions Mr. Kleen. Your tendonitis will be healed in no time.

War Report: Workout B1
Goal: Drop slightly back in weight, concentrate on form and complete contractions. I was adding weight too fast on my last blast. I want the workouts to count more than to impress... not that I was trying to get my ego into it last time, but that I am being more consciencious of making my blast as efficient and brutal as possible... sometimes the heaviest weight isn't as good of a workout as a great contraction with less weight.
Thus:
Preacher curlz- 30's on ezbar - 8,6,5= 19... almost time to add 2 1/2s
Pinwheels - 60s x 14 each arm
Standing Calf Raises on Smith - 225x30 reps x 3 sets, outside, straight, inside toe position.
SLDL - 225x9, backoff 135x12
Hack Squat (hammerstrength) - 3 plates x8 reps all the way till the machine bottomed out a la mr kleen's reccomendation. 1 plate and 25's x20. Holy crap this was way more brutal. Especially after SLDL.
Altogether great workout, best I have had in a while, I was looking huge in the gym today... had some other girls checking me out right in front of my girlfriend, I could tell she was getting pissed... I was laughing though, she has nothing to worry about.

Hormones are definately kicking in... getting some acne, which is a good sign that my test levels are skyrocketing.I rarely have any blemishes normally.
Acne is often a sign of increased estrogen levels...that would make sense considering the nature of these products.
I believe it is both, really more the sign of DHT which comes from the conversion of excess testosterone to estrogen right? If so and not a sponsored log maybe some resveratrol, ATD, or Form would be good to add in?

I have Formestane, ATD, and Epi.
Not gonna add the epi, this cycle is too mild and sweet to harsh it up with a methyl. Plus I don't want to start taking cycle support now.
I might start dosing Formestane, but honestly unless I start to get gyno symptoms, I probably won't use an AI. If i do, it will probably be Formex by IBE... I have some CEL formestane, but I think I am gonna save that for a later cut.
