I think free weights are better for overall developement of the various support muscles needed to stabilize the movement. I like the machines as finishing exercises though. For true functional strength....Free Weights!!

AMEN, that is why you see my workout is very dumbell centric. Nothing hits the stabilizers and support muscles like dumbells. I only go to form failure anyway nw and then drop the weight to continue the abuse. Something I found to be the best for me when I had no partner. Now I have my wife and she is great but not much help on the really heavy lifts. Yet again, I go to rform failure to prevent injury so a spotter isn't really needed for me to build muscle, only to push through strength plateaus.
 
Some are in it to llok like they can lift alot, others can lift a sh*t load. You are a monster anyways g so I wouldn't be too worried.

I agree. I find that the hammerstrength actually shapes my chest better, and gives better size... but really doesn't do as much for my free weight strength. I've thought many a time about giving up free weight bb bench... it might be a good thing for me in the long run to stick with Dumbells and hammerstrength. Maybe when I am a few years older or when if my shoulder gets clicky again.

Theres a few hammer strenght machines I really enjoy at my gym..my problem is half of them have the numbers rubbed off, so im always trying to find that sweet spot with the dam seat!

LOL It is fun to load 4 big wheels on each side and then blast out 8 to 10 reps with it. I like the safety factor involved as well. I feel much "froggier" and am willing to load machines down with gruesome weights.
But the dumbells are the very best for both strength and shape IMO. I prefer DB movements over Barbell moves these days.
But I will openly admit that it was years of pushing hard on basic exercises with Barbells that made me as strong as I am now. And I still do BB exercises. I just do MORE DB and machine work now that I have a lot of mass to work with.

Take for instance yesterday's Chest workout:
Incline Machine Presses
Incline Barbell Presses
Incline DB Flyes then going straight into DB Incline Presses (pre-exhaust sets)
Pec-Deck Superset with CableCrossovers


We need to utilize all the available tools we have at our disposal to maximize our muscular potential. :yup:

These preexhaust sets are what I have been doing the past few weeks for chest while I am babying my tendonitis. Funny how heavy the 55lb dumbells get on that 3rd set. My chest is actually sitting up like a shelf too.
 
Cycle Update:

I am really enjoying this cycle thus far. My muscles seem to already be getting denser, my girlfriend said that my chest felt bigger as she was leaning on me when we were watching a movie together. She also randomly said my shoulders looked bigger at the gym the other day. :D She knows I am taking this stuff, so I told her, just wait a few weeks... :twisted:

My libido is way up, it was from almost the beginning of the cycle. Strength and vascularity seem to be rising. My weight is at 195, so that is 2 lbs gained in the past 1 1/2 weeks.

These liquid pro-hormones are so much better it seems than the tab form. It is really too bad to see these go bye bye cause of the govmt, I might have to splurge on another cycle before they are gone. Hopefully the new "natty" hormones that are coming out can utilize this or similar technology.

War Report: Workout B1

Goal: Drop slightly back in weight, concentrate on form and complete contractions. I was adding weight too fast on my last blast. I want the workouts to count more than to impress... not that I was trying to get my ego into it last time, but that I am being more consciencious of making my blast as efficient and brutal as possible... sometimes the heaviest weight isn't as good of a workout as a great contraction with less weight.

Thus:

Preacher curlz- 30's on ezbar - 8,6,5= 19... almost time to add 2 1/2s
Pinwheels - 60s x 14 each arm
Standing Calf Raises on Smith - 225x30 reps x 3 sets, outside, straight, inside toe position.
SLDL - 225x9, backoff 135x12
Hack Squat (hammerstrength) - 3 plates x8 reps all the way till the machine bottomed out a la mr kleen's reccomendation. 1 plate and 25's x20. Holy crap this was way more brutal. Especially after SLDL.

Altogether great workout, best I have had in a while, I was looking huge in the gym today... had some other girls checking me out right in front of my girlfriend, I could tell she was getting pissed... I was laughing though, she has nothing to worry about.
 
That is one great thing about the DC routine: you sort of pre-exhaust your legs with calves/hams done before the quads. You can't draw on the hammies for help! Nice w/o G.

Dang i needa pay attn more! I just realized ur on DC and your numbers look much better then i remember? Seeeesh i hate being so outta it! Im glad to see such an improvment and your doing it with more of a focus on form and contractions! Freakin awesome brother!
 
Workout looks solid man!!! I've done that as well, less weight but concentrating on form and feel. Always seems to help me out in the long run get ready to feel and be able to handle the heavier weight. Keep up the good work man!!

Right on!! The pre-exhaust sets are brutal. I love them. And the pump is unreal!! They blow your muscles up like balloons.
And you don't need as much weight on your 2nd basic exercise that follows the isolation exercise. So you are doing your tendonitis and your muscles a favor by using them.
Keep your focus on form and getting good contractions Mr. Kleen. Your tendonitis will be healed in no time.

I've been called Mr. Clean myself in the past. Could be my hair-style!!! LMAO

I fully expected that libido increases would be the first thing you would notice on this kind of cycle. Mood improvement, feelings of well-being and confidence. Then the strength and mass will kick in.
These 2 compounds take longer to kick in than something like Tren or D-Bol.

Nice and brutal on those hacks, however maybe just before the machine bottoms out. Sounds like the feet being a little higher on the platform help more with getting to the bottom of the move too if you bottomed out. Great stuff man!

Hormones are definately kicking in... getting some acne, which is a good sign that my test levels are skyrocketing. :D I rarely have any blemishes normally.

Acne is often a sign of increased estrogen levels...that would make sense considering the nature of these products.

G- I noticed a small amount of acne on the shoulders as well, i think it was around week3?

I believe it is both, really more the sign of DHT which comes from the conversion of excess testosterone to estrogen right? If so and not a sponsored log maybe some resveratrol, ATD, or Form would be good to add in?

I believe you are correct in the assumption that it is the DHT that causes the zits. Even though I'm old, I still get acne like a mudda-fugga on my shoulders and back. And I went bald in my early 20's due to insane natural levels of DHT.

I would personally recommend the Formestane while on this cycle, since it does suppress, and then use the Resveratrol plus an AI of his choosing for PCT.
I don't think that G particularly likes ATD.
He might choose Bromo instead.

The reason I wouldn't recommend even a low dose of ATD while on-cycle is that it lowers androgen levels along with killing excess estrogen. We don't want to aversely affect our androgen levels when on-cycle.
I'd leave ATD for PCT's only.
I like to use Epithio's (Epi) while on-cycle to keep estro at bay. Low dose of course. :thumbsup:

I might start dosing Formestane, but honestly unless I start to get gyno symptoms, I probably won't use an AI. If i do, it will probably be Formex by IBE... I have some CEL formestane, but I think I am gonna save that for a later cut.

I by no means am "breaking out" in zits, just a few popped up in random spots I don't ever get blemishes. One on my side, one on my quad. Weird places for acne, but I figure it is from the hormones.

I don't feel like my Estrogen is all that high, I feel like my Test is really high... I have a serious alpha-male feeling going on today. I want to tear the weights up, and I am gonna!!!

CC- I am lean bulking.

You just wait. This is my first log since maybe June that I have not been sponsored (Well, PCT will be thanks to my friends at Axis :D ) so I kinda get to dose/do what I please. I bought another bottle of 4AD off someone from the boards... I am still waiting to get it, but hopefully it will arrive before week 4. That, and I have a bottle and 1/4 of another bottle of PP 1-T transdermal that I have decided will be going to use during the last 4 weeks of this cycle. Things are gonna get fuggin' nasty as hell. So hopefully I will be able to double dose the 4AD during the last 4 weeks, and combine normal dosing of the 1andro with a light dose (4 pumps) of the 1T transdermal. The DHEA in the Transdermal 1T should also kick in some more test! If it is too much for me I will back off a la the scientific method, but I am excited to experiment with the dose to say the least!

I am about to buy a stack off of AMS's website in the next few days to get myself 3-4 bottles or so of the 1AD and 4AD UTT. I am gonna wind up with a ton of their Arom-x though, 3 bottles... so I might be selling off one or two of those... dunno yet.

Awesome to hear man! Your test levels would have to be up there pretty good for your Estrogen to be out of whack enough to matter. Just because there is some conversion doesn't mean anything bad, Healthy levels of test still cause some. Only time to worry is when you are having issues with gyno or you become a weepy bia bia. LOL That or if you are actually using them to lower E enough to tell your body to increase it's own testosterone production. Just keep kicking the ass that you already are.
 
Just make sure you don't hurt yourself like the last time. I am really looking forward to seeing how this one ends for you. I expect big things!

Man, its always nice to have someone else comment on your size, It really lets you know where your at, plus in my mind it pushes you... what is your dosing right now G? planning to ramp up in the upcoming weeks?
