DHT gets an undeserved bad rap usually. It can actually IMPROVE BPH prostate swelling. More and more doctors are coming around to this knowledge. They're now treating prostate issues with DHT to shrink the prostate.
It's estrogen that causes all the bad shit with us. And DHT lowers estrogen sides as well. This is the reason I prefer strong androgens over strong anabolics. They make me feel very "manly". LOL

Sorry to venture off on a DHT tirade. It's a near and dear issue with me. ha ha

I've always mixed 5 grams of Formestane with 5 grams of Trione in my anti-e transdermals. Works like a charm. Haven't done that in a while though. It's about time to do it again. Makes for a smooth PCT.

I'm about to experiment with a TD of powdered DHEA and ATD. Run it solo just to see what happens. I was thinking 100 mg. of DHEA and 25 mg. of ATD doing a twice per day dosing protocol. That would equate to around 600 to 800 mg. of DHEA orally and the ATD at 50 to 100 mg. orally. Transdermals are so much cheaper and effective to run with these compounds.
Once I score some Penetrate, I'll do just that. And I think I'll log it so others can see if this would be beneficial or not.

But the ATD should nip the estrogen in the bud and allow the DHEA to convert more towards testosterone in my thinking. i read this post once where a guy said that half live of atd was very short and went on about the advantages of using td delivery. ive never used td atd solo, but have added atd powder to other stuff. once i think i had atd/trione/form in the same bottle, lol. do your log on td- atd/dhea it seems they cause different reactions when used in a td delivery.
 
Liquidrone got my strength up so quickly, but I had to stop after a week and 3/4 because the estra-9 compound made my gyno flare up like crazy.

Ok, so I was gone for a few days, but I am back now... it's been about a week since I started dosing my 1AD and 4AD... I have noticed that my muscles are already looking a bit fuller, and I definitely noticed an increase in libido from the 4AD. I think that the liquid prohormones kick in way faster than their pill counterparts.

Cardio today, start of a new DC blast tomorrow. :D
 
Keep the update s comin! I have 4 1-ad utt and I'm gonna use your log to judge whether or not im going to incorporate 1-ad utt into my next cycle or sell those them off.

I agree with the liquid hormone thing. I've only used Microdrol to compare, but that stuff was far superior than the capsules from what I could tell.

What's a "DC blast?" I'm still learning this DC stuff. I incorporate DC sets for each muscle group, but don't go too much beyond that.
 
Blast is the time to hit the weights hard. It usually lasts about 8 weeks or more for you young guns. Then you cruise, which is about a week off the weights. I am starting my blast again tomorrow after taking a week off from weights and cardio totally. I feel ready to get after it big time.

What distinguishes this from any other workout? - I'll be honest, I have a hard time accepting some of these DC principles. People talk about these things as though they're new concepts when they're as old as cranking iron itself.

And what's with this "cruise?" Why the hell do you need to go in and just move around light weight? If DC is so hardcore, shouldn't you just take the week off and rest instead? - Frankly, I don't find DC to be especially hardcore at all. The stretching is painful, and the RP sets are intense, but I don't feel like it's any more taxing than my other sessions. Honestly, I don't feel I get enough out of a DC workout. Which is why I do not only 1 DC rest pause set, but 2, along with 3 Max OT sets. THAT is when I started noticing growth. DC-specific training just isn't high enough volume for my body.
 
People cruise differently. I usually just stop everything for a week or do very light cardio. The CNS and joints/muscles need the rest. I find the volume to be enough for my workouts. Granted, I am in another age bracket here but, I am toast after my sessions. It's all I can do to heal up enough for the next workout. I agree with you on the reinventing the wheel here. It has all been done before.
 
I think it just comes down to what works best for you IC. DC has done some amazing things for me and for the most part I follow it to the T. But I have thrown in a few of my own things along the way and it has def made improvements. Gotta do what works best for ya :dunno:

I believe that muscle confusion is of supreme importance when bodybuilding. The body adapts very quickly to the specific stresses being placed upon it. So we should change things up fairly often to keep the muscles off guard.
Some people can make progress doing the same type workouts for months or years on end. I'm not one of those people. I change my routines often.
I do DC for a few blasts which will take me through 2 or 3 months. Then I'll go back to higher volume and do lots of drop (strip) sets to crank up the intensity. Then after a while of this, I'll change over to doing super-sets, giant sets, or pre-exhaustion sets.

I believe this keeps my interest high and my body growing.

I'm currently on a recomp, so I'm hitting the drop-sets hard right now. Let me tell you, triple-drops will make you cry for your mommy. LOL

All this being said, I do believe that DC is a very good method. Like the others have said, the principles involved have been around for a long time. But their popularity has exploded since DC showed up on the scene. This has led to more trainees hitting the weights with greater intensity.
And the more intensity one can incorporate into their training, the greater their gains will be.

Like everyone said a DC blast is 6-10 weeks of hitting the weights at 110%. The cruise is working out, but not to failure during a week or two between blasts to help your CNS recover.

The thing about DC is you have to give it your all or nothing. there is no real in between in the way it is described by Dante. Each muscle group is supposed to be trained to complete and utter failure by the time you are done with the RP set and the stretch. In theory there should be no more ability for the muscle to do more exercises. It is really, really hard to train at this level. I mean, it is a teeth-gnashing, screaming, all or nothing workout. I can really only do this for 6-8 weeks before I am just completely drained, don't want to work out or give it my all.

It works for the most part, except when I have found that I get sick or don't eat right. If you slip up at all with your diet and rest... DC is very unforgiving, I found this out on my last blast. I might change my DC workout up this week to include a RP set then a lightweight cable movement for the muscles, IE Bench press RP set, then a standard, lighter weight cable crossover, etc.
 
My blast barely lasted 10 weeks. The last 2 weeks I was in denial of needing a cruise. At this point, I am very happy to take this week to take it easy and come back harder the next! Plus switching out exercises is ALWAYS exciting!
 
yea, 10 weeks is too long for me. DC is all about recovery... I am beginning to think 8 weeks might be just about right. I may decide to do a 2 month burst of high-volume in between this current DC blast and my next. I think that DC is great, but other workouts should be used in conjunction. I definitely noticed that my gains weren't as pronounced during my second DC blast as my first.
 
Interesting...maybe the choice in exercise had something to do with? :dunno:. I agree tho. A break where you focus on higher rep and ancillary exercises should yield some nice results ..in the long run as well. Should give you some nice density too.
 
I dunno, I mean, DC is just based around compound exercises. Which is great for overall strength and mass. However getting definition and working out when cutting makes hypertrophy and volume seem better to me. I think DC is great, just some people are such DC "cult" followers that they regard any other workout as inferior, which honestly isn't the case. I think everything in moderation is good. I will probably work out DC style 3/4 of the year, and high volume/hypertrophy the other 1/4 from here on. Probably a month or so of hypertrophy in between every 2 DC blasts.

LOL... at the moment with my GF. She's a trooper, and a decent spotter most of the time.

But in all reality, yea, I might as well be working out by myself.

Thats my main problem with dc right now. You need a spotter especially when you end on negatives. That or use all machines.
 
I hear ya man. Smith has become my friend. Nobody likes to stick around for a 3 set rest pause :frustrate...luckily i have workout partner now :)
 
A great spotter is a must!! Agree 100%!! The worst is the spotters that don't let you struggle with that last 1-2 reps, they just yank the weight up for you. I know I could get my chest to grow more and save my shoulders if I could just get away from the damn smith machine, but, I push waaaay too much and that's just the safest way for me now.

I think you would be really surprised how much size you can put on with the Hammer Strength bench press. Starts out nice and wide and comes in close for the full contraction. You can lift heavy as all get out and it is better on your shoulders than the smith machine because it is a more natural range of motion. Plus you can do the whole isolateral thing too. The seated hammer strength are cool but for power, the actual lying down bench can not be beat short of true free weights.

I agree. I find that the hammerstrength actually shapes my chest better, and gives better size... but really doesn't do as much for my free weight strength. I've thought many a time about giving up free weight bb bench... it might be a good thing for me in the long run to stick with Dumbells and hammerstrength. Maybe when I am a few years older or when if my shoulder gets clicky again.
