My Epic Recomp Adventure with a CEL Double Tap!

Log looks good. Thanks.
Wondering if you doing any blood work pre or post cycle?

Thanks. No, I wish I could but I don't have the health coverage that will cover it anymore. Used to do it when I got it all covered but it's too expensive now.

lol! I went to my school gym last night instead of my regular gym cause it was snowing pretty good and the roads were crap and I didn't feel like driving the extra 15 minutes. While we were there, my wife pointed out some of the intramurals that they had. Some were...eh...interesting! We figured that if we got involved in some of those, we'd get plenty of cardio and never have to hit the track! Some of the ones that we're looking at doing are: Indoor soccer, water polo on inner tubes, dodge ball, and kickball! :D
go for the futbol, and play power forward, you will be running your ass off.

If i were to attempt anything on a balance ball, I would not be alive to post today lol!

how does your cycle feel so far!!! any major gains currently?? libido?? appetite?? pumps?? all going as planned?? very interested in this p-mag babae!!! wooooo hoooo!! (no homo) :deal:

It's been several years but I used to play with several of my friends in an indoor league. I did it for about 3 "seasons". I was never very good but it was awesome cardio and we won the championship the last year I played!

LMAO! :D

It's been good bro! No major gains, but strength has increased some. Not noticing much leaning out but there's still plenty of time. I'm planning on kicking up the cardio as well. Libido is fine. appetite is weird. It has increase some but mainly after I eat. I will either be hungrier and hungry again soon. No noticable pumps. things are going well though and can't complain. It should start kicking into full gear pretty soon.

Me too..............I would not even consider trying

It would make a heck of a show...and video!

The Workout

Here's what I did today and in this exact order:

Bench Press:
8x135
6x165
6x185
6x195
5x205 No PR by a long shot but I least I got another rep up

Squats:
10x135
10x225
10x250

Rack Pulls:
6x135
6x185
6x225 instead of 205
6x255 instead of 244 (switched to over/under hand grip)
6x385 PR! ---> These were very nice! I will try 405 next week and will get video of it. My woman smashed my thumb between sets of squats today by playing around and not paying attention so I used it here!

Pull-Ups:
I skipped pull-ups and lat pull-downs to keep from aggravating my shoulder. It's feeling much better already and should be good to go by next week.

Pendlay Rows:
6x155
6x155

Yate Rows:
6x155
6x205

Cardio
After my workout, I did the usual...intra and then pool. I swam 20 laps.

NOTES:
Today was nice to hit a PR on the rack pulls and by 35 lbs! Played around in the pool today (at the college) after my laps. Felt good man.

SIDES:
Atrophy...nothing else...at all!

I used to play in basketball league and it was a fantastic change of pace for me. Then instead of doing traditional cardio on lifting days, I would just do shooting stations. It really made cardio less redundant and less excruciating so I'm definitely supporting your choice to add an intramural.

That's what I was thinking too. The only intramurals I've done before was tennis (no homo :D) and it was great cardio.

Appearantly I'm getting the same results...very pleased to say the least. I know my readings are accurate because I'm not using a crappy Wal-Greens cuff monitor, but my lady who was a RN! ;)

P-Mag at 75 mg

The Workout

Today I didn't have my log with me so I only have some of my info. My right forearm and shoulder were still sore so I decreased the volume as well. That also enabled me to push a little more weight since I wasn't as worn down so I can't really say I increased on anything because it wouldn't be an accurate comparison.

Bench Press:
Did 3 sets

Squats:
Did 3 sets. On the third one I decided to go heavier and did 6 reps at 265 lbs. My form was decent but not as good so I think I'll stick to a little lighter weight until I can bring it up with better form.

SLDL:
Axed them here due to my forearm and I want it to recover in time for arms on Wednesday.

Decline Barbell Bench Press:
Only did 2 sets. Last set I did 6 reps at 225 lbs, that one felt nice!

Incline Hammer Strength Press:
Did 4 sets and added in drop sets at the end, was able to get 8 reps at 190 which was good.

Cable Crossovers:
Finished off with a couple sets of these.

Cardio
20 laps in the pool

NOTES:
Lower volume but still felt like a pretty good workout. I signed up for intramural basketball which starts next week so that will get me some good cardio in as well.

SIDES:
Same same, nothing new to note...which is a great thing!

That's what I was thinking too. The only intramurals I've done before was tennis (no homo :D) and it was great cardio.

i played tennis and football in high school. the tennis kept me in great shape for football. still play on sunday afternoons with the same group i played back in hs. we have added many police and firemen to the group over the years-it ain't your little sisters tennis match, lol. tennis is a great sport-it will kick your asss if you aren't conditioned for it.

That's the truth! I was in my best cardio shape when I used to play on the tennis team for HS and then basketball for recreation.

it's funny because all those skinny little fast guys who used to chase down every ball and just keep hitting everything back-sort of like michael chang used to do, can't move like that since we got older and now they barely score a point off me, lol. age is the great equalizer.

lol, it sure is! Problem is that the whole age thing also took its toll on my knees...well that, flat feet, and lots of basketball!

hahaha, yes but i am a smasher, i play a power game-so losing quickness doesn't hamper me as much as those other guys, lol.

Barbell Curls:
4x110 CG

Skull Crushers:
8x75 (wu)
6x100

---SEE NOTES---

Cardio
Played basketball for about an hour.

NOTES:
My effin forearm started aching again...not in a good way either, so I decided to call it quits instead of risking injury. Sux cause I really want to push it and do so much more. I still wanted to do something so I played some bball. I guess the good news is that my shoulder is feeling pretty good.

SIDES:

lol, I hope so!

Glus, chon, and MSM don't do a whole lot for me so I wanted to try to kick it up a notch. I've been meaning to try cissus and celadrin for awhile and have heard tons of good things about it. I got bromalein (spl?) based on my chiropractor's advice for the imflammation in my knees after heavy cardio. Many people discredit chiropractors but he's also been a family friend for years and I feel I can trust him.

what does wu mean? I only know of the money trasnfer places :D

Warm Up! :D

I played about an hour and a half of basketball last night for my cardio. I will be going to gym in a couple hours and set out to get a PR on Rack Pulls!

wow dude, wtf are you doing that you're in that much pain? :17:

Don't judge your chiro based on if he's nice to your aunts and nephews. Judge him based on whether or not he helps you resolve your pain issues. GI Joe!

lol! I think I've just been pushing myself really hard. Agreed with the chiro, I was just trying to say that he isn't just some dude and that I actually know him personally so usually he's a bit more direct and honest with me!

KJ have you used any topical joint supps(Dorian Yates Projoint, Now Celadrin, Glucosacreme etc)???? Those work alot better for myself

Never, but I actually just ordered one of those too!

The Workout

I switched up the exercises today to try and limit the strain placed on my forearms and was still able to get a really good workout in!

Here's what I did today:

Rack Pulls:
10x135
10x225
6x405 PR! ---> I had the camera and everything...then found out that I forgot to charge it so it was dead...fail on the video...will make it up next week tho!

8x160
8x160

High Cable Rows:
8x120
8x130
8x140

Iso-Lateral Seated Rows (Hammer Strength):
7x330
7x300
7x300

Same ^^^ but Single Arm
8x150
8x150

Seated Calf Raises:
10x135
12x135

Cardio
Did my SizeOn V2 here and then hit the pool. Swam 20 laps and it felt good!

NOTES:
Got another PR on Rack Pulls after upping the weight by 20 lbs! I've about maxed out on these though. Suprisingly, after I was done, I still had plenty of energy! Not used to that after my workouts! Best part is that I don't hurt and my forearms are fine after the workout.

SIDES:
Nada

Just thought I'd say that my forearms start to ache really bad when I do barbell curls if it's a straight bar. I can't do them anymore.

Congrats on the PR! Looks like this cycle is great side wise. This far at least :) No BP spikes or anything?!
Nice numbers man, keep killing it

yup, I'm so happy I stocked up on Glucosacream. I use it like 4-5x/day for 2-3 days anytime something pops up. Good as new! ...I was hoping this would part of your non-hormonal lineup at some point :fingersx:

The Workout

I was able to hit the gym hard today and it felt really good.

Here's what I did today:

Bench Press:
8x135
6x165
6x186
6x196
6x205 (nice to get two extra reps here!)

Squats:
10x135
10x225
10x240

SLDL:
10x135
10x185
10x225
7x315

Rack Pulls:
6x405 Just felt like throwing one of these in at the completion on my regular deads!

Deline Bench Press:
8x135
6x205
4x225

Incline HS Press:
8x150
8x170
8x190 Drop Set with...
8x150

Pec Flyes (cables were all being used and I didn't feel like waiting so I hit the machine):
8x200
8x250
8x270

Cardio
Took my IA and then played a little basketball. I then went and swam too. Only did 15 laps as I was already tired from the bball!

NOTES:
I tied my recent PR's in regards to the SLDL and Rack Pulls. I only got more reps out of bench press and incline press. I'm feeling stronger and I felt really good throughout the entire workout. When I was done, I was actually looking around to see what else I could do but decided not to push it too far and chance another strain!

SIDES:
See previous post on week 3 review.

Featured Video's: Here's a new twist for ya with someone I'm sure most of you have never heard of, Lyrycyst. Pretty impressive for being vitually unknown...and white! :D The one on the left is featuring Tech N9ne (take about a minute for the song to actually get going) and the one on the end is him solo that I actually think was better.

Good going re: the BP. I think mine went up a little with Pmag, but not as much as with other compounds, Phera for example.

I miss the HS machines. I belong to a little mom and pop gym and the equipment is pretty basic. It's a catch22... there's less annoying Aholes in the gym, but they're limited with things like HS, just a few cables, etc etc. Things to keep the workouts fun.

nICE WORK OUT MAN!!! KEEP KILLIN IT MY FRIEND!!! lOOK DAM GOOD!!! DAM GOOD!!! gratz ont eh +2 reps!!!

Definitely a trade off. Lately I've been working out at my school gym. There are less options like you were talking about but I don't have to fight for lockers or equipment, plus I just head over after class!

Day 24

P-Mag at 75 mg
P-Stanz at 250 mg

INFO:
I went to a different gym today because it was right next to where I was already at and didn't want to drive the extra 20 minutes. It was another 24 hr, but was inferior to the one I usually go to. I mention this because some of the equipment and weight stacks were pretty different so I tried my best to have consistency.

Post-Workout
CL Golden Gains and Golden Finish combo.

The Workout

Mah work!:

Shoulder Press (I did these on Hammer Strength instead of my typical FreeMotion cables)
8x50 (went low to assess weight variation)
8x100
8x120
These felt easier then the cables

Delt Cable Flyes
I did these on FreeMotion functional trainer as usual but this one didn't have the lateral adjustable arms so I could only do one arm at a time. I was actually able to almost double the weight that I usually do on my last set!
8x25
8x30
8x50 (technically a PR, but even though it was the same type of machine by the same company, it was still done differently)

Bicep Curls:
8x35 DB (warm-up)
6x55 DB (I was able to get a couple more reps out of these!)
6x50 DB

Bicep Curls---Barbell
3x110 Close Grip
3x100
I think those of you who mentioned this were right, these are what made my forearms hurt. I tried the ez curl bar and it was better but not solved. I'll try barbell preacher curls instead next time with the ez curl bar.

Dips:
BW (209) x20
BW + 45 plate x12
BW + 45 plate + 35 plate (+80 lbs) x7 PR!

Overhead Cable Extentions:
8x100
10x130
These were done on their standard cable machines. The weight stack only went to 150 lbs, while the one I use at the other gym goes to 200 lbs, BUT they both felt like I was doing the same weight even though the numbers are quite off. I'm assuming it's because of differences in the pulley system?

Tricep Cable Pushdowns (FST-7):
I took some advice and decided to up the reps to 10 for these. I definitely felt the difference and will countinue to do it this way. Again, different weight/cables but felt like when I did more with the other ones.
10x140
10x140
10x140
10x140
10x140
10x140
12x140
Massive pumps from this!

Preacher Curl (FST-7):
This was done on a machine because they didn't have the equipment I needed so I had to settle for this.
10x110
10x110
10x110
10x110 This was incredible hard to finish so I had to drop weight
10x95
10x80
10x80 ---> I had to take a quick brief pause to force the last 3 reps!
Massive pump from this too and my arms felt dead!

Shoulder Shrugs on Hammer Strength (standing):
30x300

Cardio
NONE! I got my first intramural basketball game in a couple hours so I'll do it then!

NOTES:
Awesome workout today! I was stronger and felt much stronger. I felt incredible throughout my workout. I seriously keep thinking about how great I felt! I was able to increase reps, weight, and even get a PR. This one just felt really good and productive today. Something's working! :D

SIDES:
Still nothing new!

Once your forearms get back to normal the ez bar won't really hurt. All I know is that the straight bar curls kill me.

I know all about that, took me a good 2 months of light weight to heal my forearm pain an I still can't do straight bar curls heavy... so annoying!
