Here's some info on FST-7, basically like a burnout hypertrophy session. It's 7 sets with only 30 seconds of rest in between.

Once your forearms get back to normal the ez bar won't really hurt. All I know is that the straight bar curls kill me.

So last night we had our first intramural basketball game. It was tied up at 55-55. We had the ball with 3.2 seconds left. We inbounded and took a shot and it missed, bounced off the rim to me. I jumped up and tried to tip it in but it rolled off the rim...fail! They only do overtime in the playoffs so it ended as a tie. I'm happy that it wasn't a loss, but man I was soooo close! It was great exercise too.
 
kj you sure do a lot of warm up reps with light weight on your bench, you ever thought about just doing 1 set of light then trying for heavy? i think your bench max will go up a lot if you push for heavy.:dunno:

I have and can do it again since its been awhile. In fact, I'll do that tomorrow. I just loved the progress I got when I did 5x5's which is why I tried to incorporate a variation of it. I hate how crappy my bench is so I'm definitely open for advice!

ALSO, today for cardio, my friends and I had an improptu game of dodgeball! :D Its been a long time since I played that but it was fun.

I'm doing a full 5x5 program called 5x5 Stronglifts; it's working great for me so far. Also, look into OVT; that contains elements of high weight low reps with volume training so you can gain strength and size. Depending on how you eat OVT could be great for recomp as well.

Last summer I was at 250 then strained my shoulder. Since then it's 205 for 6 reps and I'm having a hell of a time getting it to budge. I've never been good at bench for some reason.

I'm doing a full 5x5 program called 5x5 Stronglifts; it's working great for me so far. Also, look into OVT; that contains elements of high weight low reps with volume training so you can gain strength and size. Depending on how you eat OVT could be great for recomp as well.

I think King answered this but I bet it's because of old injuries. It sucks but it's reality. The trick is becoming efficient with warm ups and then to keep moving once you're warmed up. I might do 10 minutes of therabands, rotator cuff, and bench warm ups at the beginning of my routine. But once I'm warm, I never allow myself to cool down so I don't waste time warming up through the rest of the workout.

With some advice from others I decided just to skip the rest of my lighter warm-ups and go for heavy and push it.

Warm ups IME/ IMO are pure bs. maybe do 135x10 than go for working weight and pyrmaid down. Ive had MUCH better results doing that, otherwise I just get to tired.

I was pretty tired and drained at the end of this one but it felt great. I added sets to my decline on the HS and added reps. I also added a little weight to my incline and lot to my bench press, so my chest is definitely picking it up! The cycle seems to be going really well right now and I am pleased.


SIDES:
None still...pretty impressive as well.

I look leaner. I haven't done any week by week BF calculations because I knew it would be minor and didn't want to get discouraged. I figured I'd do it at the end of the cycle and see the overall picture. I can try to get a reading tonight though if you'd like.

I'm happy with this cycle to say the least. My last cycle was very dissapointing so this is a real nice turnaround. Thanks for all the support fellas!

I'm heading out to hit my arms and then I got my second intramural bball game tonight, definitely looking forward to that!

Didn't like having to drop weight half way through but I had to. Another new machine so I had to gauge and guess.

None till my intramural bbal game which was a few hours later. We lost...badly, 69-44. :o We actuall made adjustments and beat them the second half but the first half was so bad that we couldn't overcome it.



NOTES:
35 sets, very high volume today! The dips were kinda funny. When I strapped on the two 45 plates, I had several people around me watching, even one of the employees that was cleaning up in the area! :p I also got some compliments from a couple friends and teammates so they've noticed a difference as well. My HemaVol came in right before I left for my workout so I popped half a dose to give it a go. I did enjoy it and noticed increase pumps and vascularity.

I'm actually dissapointed that I only have a week and a half left on this cycle. I'm considering pushing the P-Stanz out to 8 weeks as it's unmethylated and I have had no observable sides. I starting to really get some positive effects from the cycle and my blood pressure is still excellent.


SIDES:
Still nothing observable.

I can't speak from experience with Pstanz but I have taken Pmag and know it's pretty potent. All I'm saying is that when you drop the Pmag you may not continue to gain as much with the Pstanz alone and therefore may be better off going straight to PCT. Who knows though.
 
i agree with geek poop, too many warm ups just zap energy. if you want to increase bp you have to focus on it. do bp's 1st in line up and focus on increasing weight not reps. do lots of exercise's to strengthen chest and tri's, again focus on increasing weight not reps. it will take work but set goal for small steady gains.

Yep, that's what I did the last couple of times and I was able to get my BP up 20 pounds!

Yesterday was eh, not so great. I wasn't feeling too good, felt really bloated. Think it was from something I ate at school. I ended up cutting down the volume.

5x405 I decided to go for another heavy set. I'm starting to hate my lifting hooks. The nylon wrist wraps are shredding my skin when I go heavy. I got some of the regular lifting straps that I'm going to be using next time.

Didn't feel to good and that definitely affected my workout. The Rack Pulls were nice but I already miss the back equipment at my regular gym. The cardio was great and had me sweating and cramping!

It's my understanding that Pmag is not harsh on the liver. I'm not going to encourage it, but I wouldn't chastize you either for running it for 8 weeks. I'm usually pretty conservative with my advice and still think 8wks pmag would be safe... not all methyls are created equal :usa2:

That's what I've heard too. I'm just not sure right now. I think it's been going great and am thinking about extending the two weeks. I have really liked how effective its been so far. I'd have to pick up another bottle of each but that's not a big deal.

After reading through a few studies I decided to try it out on cycle awhile ago and really liked it. I've made it an on-cycle staple ever since.

If you don't feel too shut down I say go for 2 more weeks. Since you'll have a fresh bottle of each maybe you could up the dosage of the Pstanz.

Edit: NM, your dosing of P stanz is probably good.

My libido is still fairly high and the observable sides are non-existant, which is great. I'm thinking about Pstanz at 300 mg's though (1 cap more then now).

I don't necessarily know what my opinion is one way or another, just that I didn't quite get the gains off of epithio that everyone else did and I ran SamE on cycle. I do NOT believe that MT interferes with methyl absorption whatsoever though... eh just some food for thought, not really trying to push you in one direction or the other.

i do not respond to epi's, any brand. i have tried them 3 times with no success. maybe you are just a non-responder to the epi's like i am?:dunno:

I was really hungry during this workout and had some fruit (all I had on me). My strength in still up but seemed to wane a little on the inclines. Not worried though cause I also increased the decline reps and my flat bench was still good. I'm liking the power movement on the cable press, I really feel it. I'm feeling sore already so I'll probably have some good DOMS tomorrow!

I keep seeing you saying how much fun this cycle is and how good you feel. You triggered my memory and remember typing almost the same ideas in my log. The Pmag compound is VERY friendly. There's some strength increase, some recomp, and lots of 'FEEL GOOD' to top it off.

You'll be please when your pct is productive also... it's mild enough that you should have a hard time recovering at all.

I keep seeing you saying how much fun this cycle is and how good you feel. You triggered my memory and remember typing almost the same ideas in my log. The Pmag compound is VERY friendly. There's some strength increase, some recomp, and lots of 'FEEL GOOD' to top it off.

You'll be please when your pct is productive also... it's mild enough that you should have a hard time recovering at all.

That looks like a very good summary of what I've been experiencing! I'm thinking that PCT shouldn't be bad either. I just got another bottle of 6-OXO Xtreme to make sure I have enough on hand.

BTW, what do you dose your SAM-e at?

Noice! I have to cut back on my squats because according to my doc, my quads are overdeveloped in relation to my hamstrings which has been why my knees have been hurting after exercise at the infra-pateller area where many of the muscles attach.
 
I usually dose at 400mg first thing in the morning. Nice mood lift there, not quite like Xanax, but no joke almost

Edit: I almost forgot. At one point for about 2 weeks, I ran a SamE experiment. I dosed 400mg SamE, 500mg tyrosine, and 1/8 tsp ALCAR (forget the dosage atm) for a preworkout stack. Man I felt like a kid who hadn't been to playground all winter. I'm not saying it gave me pumps are aggression, i was just happy to be in the gym :D
 
Noice! I have to cut back on my squats because according to my doc, my quads are overdeveloped in relation to my hamstrings which has been why my knees have been hurting after exercise at the infra-pateller area where many of the muscles attach.

AHHH SNAAP!!!! haha MORE SLD!!! MORE SLD!!! THAN!!! MUHAHAHA!!! thats not medical advice just a thought. . .hahah. .
 
I usually dose at 400mg first thing in the morning. Nice mood lift there, not quite like Xanax, but no joke almost

Edit: I almost forgot. At one point for about 2 weeks, I ran a SamE experiment. I dosed 400mg SamE, 500mg tyrosine, and 1/8 tsp ALCAR (forget the dosage atm) for a preworkout stack. Man I felt like a kid who hadn't been to playground all winter. I'm not saying it gave me pumps are aggression, i was just happy to be in the gym :D

lol, I always love recess! I'm taking 400mg of SAM-e now. I've been splitting it into two 200 mg doses, not sure if that makes any difference though. I do have tyrosine on hand so that's a combo I will be sure to try later.

Too true! I need to step up my SLDL and I've added hamtring curls as well.
 
ANNOUNCEMENT!!!​

I am pleased to say that CEL has been very kind to me and has agreed to a log extension. They have provided me with an additional bottle of P-Stanz which will allow me to extend my log for an additional 2 weeks. I started the P-Stanz a week late in order to run it at a larger dose---so, it will have been run for a total of 7 weeks. The P-Mag portion will be completed at the end of this week and will have been run for 6 weeks. This makes this whole cycle a total of 8 weeks and due to my previous cycle experience and how this cycle has been going, I am comfortable with that. As always, comments and suggestions are welcome!​
