Log of Unparalleled Dimensions: Viking & Irish Take On Controlled Labs

Do any of you guys get your multi vitamins from wally-world? I forgot to order mine at NP during the sale, and I've been stuck without a MV for about ten days now, and I keep having to fight off a scratchy throat...What's a good MV to get at Wal-Mart?

:jaw:

Seriously dude, at least go to GNC or something.. at least they got a decent multi.

I don't see what's so horrible about some of the vitamins there...Ya, they're not GREAT, but I could just take a couple extra each day...It's not like I use them all the time. It would just be a replacement until I made another NP order. I don't feel like spending $6 for the shipping on one product.

...although those SuperSapoins looks nice...

NO! NO, IC! BAD! No more supplements for you!

Ohhhh brother Irish, let me count the ways..

from substandard sourcing to poor assimilation.. you might, if you're lucky, get about 20% tops absorbed into ya.. if you're lucky (and you had better have that Luck o' The Irish going on brother..)

Horrible, horrible quality, these garbage multi's out there.

Could you recommend a good multi Snag? I have bought my multi's from Wally World in the past, until I heard I'm better off chewing some dirt. I've still got my Centrium's, but what SHOULD I be getting?

I've been stimulating the economy all week long, tell me about it.

Well, GNC actually has an extremely quality product, all of their multi's are high-end, from the base Mega Men Sport to the more extensive Vita-Paks (Paks just add like fish oil, carnitine, some small amount of BCAA's, depending onwhat particular Pak you're looking at). Really a good value.

My personal preference is Beverly's SuperPak, and their Ultra-4 is a nice quality, economical blend as well.. but that's an online thing. I like AnimalPak too, usually can find that at GNC..

The animal pak at gnc is 20 bucks more than the one at NP

ADAM is what I normally use. Beverly's stuff is awesome, but there is no way I'm going to spend $30/month on a multi-vitamin. MST's MVP looks solid, but again, a bit pricey. I just checked for a Controlled Labs multi, but I guess they don't exist.

SuprePak, $19.90 online.

Ultra-4, $11.99

!!!!!

Bro, this surpises me you don't know..

Orange Triad.

Not a fan myself..

I didn't know that was a multi!...I guess I mixed it up with the nootropic one.

That stuff looks pretty pimp. Why don't you like it?

Not enough Vita C or E for starters..
Also don't want a 'joint complex' in my multi, I don't even use glucosamine, don't need it (and if you have shellfish allergies you need to steer clear of this).
So, esp. for $30/45 day supply..doesn't fit my needs.

Esp. when I can get SuperPak for $20/mo., that meets my vita/mineral needs..

I'll probably pick up either Bev. International Super Pak or MST's MVP, or CL's Orange Triad on my next order. I thought Bev's was $30, but it's $20, much more reasonable. I may go multi-vitamin free until then. Dang my memory! I really meant to order a MV from NP and totally forgot.

I love me some orange triad ... it cuts down on the amount of other stuff i need to take (i usually take joint supp and echinecia along with a multi ... now i just take OT)

It looks like good stuff. So does Super Pak and MVP. 'Twill be a tough decision, indeed. MVP and OT both have interesting ingredients, but different types. It's mainly between those two that I'll have to choose. Essentially they're the same price, so I may try one for two months, and the other for two months to decide if they're worth the extra $10/month since ADAM is half the price of both.

Day 21

Today was a decent workout. Nothing great that I remember. I was a little nauseous once I started exercises three and four. I think 5mg of Y-HCL is just too much for this wittle guy. I'll stick with 2.5mg.

1hr Pre-wo: 10 WF, 5 BlueGene, 1 scoop GreenMAG, 2 Recreate, 5mg Y-HCL, 1.6g 1-C, 1 AP

Intra-wo: 40g BCAAs, 6 scoops GlycerGrow (I'm actually still working on about 1/3rd of that. I didn't finish it during the workout today due to the sick stomach)

Post-wo: 200mg P-Slin, 1 scoop LP, 30g WMS, 1/2cup oats

Workout- Day 3: Delts/Hams/Calves (Fasted, Supersets)

Atlantis Lateral Raise: 70x23,21, 80x17,16,15, 85x14,14,14
Prone Leg Curl: 70x23,20, 80x17,15,15, 85x14,14,14

EZ-Bar Upright Row: 80x20,19, 85x15,15,14,14,15,14
GoodMornings: 100x16,16,15,13,14,13,13,13

Standing Calf Raise: 50x15,15,14,13,13,13,12,13 (20sec rests, Full ROM, 2sec pause on bottom and top contraction)

As you can see, nothing to make a fuss over. It was all hypertrophy today; quite boring.

Here's a couple Back shots I took. I wish I had an older rear-lat spread picture to compare to, but I don't. I don't know if I've picked up width or not, but I do know I'm picking up some definition. Sorry my posing sucks so bad. I have no idea what I'm doing. - The lighting is horrible, too.

IC's Daily Rant:

I just heard while listening to Rush that Starbucks bought a $45mil jet (the company's third) after closing some shops and laying off employees.

Now, I'm not one that is real into "ethical" issues in the business world. Ya, you shouldn't lie, cheat, or steal to get ahead, but it bothers me so bad that people get upset at this kind of stuff as though company's owe people these jobs.

These dems whine about companies outsourcing jobs and saying it's unethical, yet they also vote for a government that taxes the crap out of these companies, causing their profit to diminish. If they can legally send these jobs overseas for 1/3rd of the cost, why shouldn't they? If they feel like shutting down some stores and laying off some employees to increase their profit margin, why shouldn't they?

The point of owning a business is to make a profit, not to create jobs! Gah!

...and have any of you listened to Obama's recent speech at George Mason University? Wholly crap, this guy has no clue how the economy works. He can shove his Harvard Economics degree in my face all he wants...he's not fooling me.

your post reminded me of this speech...

Back is killer bro!

same here.

The vigilante thing is fun to debate. It's a very interesting topic...I definitely don't think it should be ran by a couple of drunk Irishman, though! - It's all partly why I'm involved in CJ. I enjoy debating the ethics involved and the flaws in the justice system. The problem is there are too many people to try and please.

My first implementation: If you're proven guilty of murder (NOT self-defense), sexual battery, or child molestation, within 30mins of conviction, you're taking a $0.15 bullet in the back of the head...That would take care of the cost issue.

Too bad it's not that easy.

Thanks, Met! Now it's just about cutting it up. I'm curious as to where my weight is going to go in the next couple of months. While I AM taking in a boatload of different supps, what I'm most curious about is my diet. I'm basically in a maintenance, if not a surplus, yet I'm doing fasted training as well as HIIT 2x a week. We'll see what happens.

so true man... if only we had a way to be 100% sure that the person was guilty.
Better that ten guilty persons escape than that one innocent suffer
- William Blackstone

My supervisor does some undercover stings for online child predators and he is being viewed as a vigilante now because he is not part of the police but he catches people and then turns them into the police to be processed. In his latest case, the defense is trying to use this against him because he was not affiliated with a police department.

Bullets cost alot more than that! I reload my own and that is what it takes for me to make one. Maybe even a little more.

I have to say that I don't agree with that Blackstone quote. I'm a bit of a Utilitarian. Obviously, that means the greatest good for the greatest number of people, yet it goes beyond that...Here's my reasoning...

Let's say one innocent person is in prison. Is society harmed? Not really. Are they at chance of being harmed? Not really.

But if ten murderers are free, the chance of society being harmed is much higher.

Do you know where i can watch this? I would like to hear it!

you have a point irish but I think that if an innocent man goes to jail then it just proves the flaws in our justice system.
Either way I think that vigilantism has its benefits but also its costs. Who is to say that the vigilante is right just because he or she thinks so? And of course.... Who Watches the Watchmen?

That's definitely the biggest problem, BUT, at the same time, who is deciding that in our justice system?...People...The difference is it's multiple people rather than just one. Either case, we're still flawed individuals that are making the decision.

true. No matter what there will always be the human condition to factor in to make sure that nothing is perfect.

RR,

I know this is a CL log, so sorry for turning this into a log filled with various topics including the discussion of other companies products. Let me know if it bothers you...with that said, I'm in a confusing pickle with my stim-intake. Here's the deal...

My current arsenal of stims are:

Recreate
Basic Cuts
Ephedrine
Y-HCL
Y-RD
Caffeine (rarely do I use these; what's the point?)
WhiteFlood (I don't really consider this part of my stim intake, but it does have caffeine in it among other things)
RPM (I use this here and there, but will probably hold off on it until I use the OverDrive that was sent to me)

Now, I've been playing around with dosing, and I just don't know what's best. I KNOW I want to use Recreate during my fasted training sessions, but I don't want to burn through it super-fast if it's not necessary. Is there actually reason to take stims more than once a day? If you pop them pre-wo in the morning, is there really a point in taking them later in the day if you already have energy from meals? I just don't seem them increasing my metabolism so much that it makes a point...Does it go beyond thermogenesis? Is there something going on that I don't realize?

Here's my stim-dosing for today:

Pre-wo (7am): 10 WF, 2 Recreate, 5mg Y-HCL

3:45pm: 1 Recreate, 25mg E, 3 Basic Cuts coffee (lots o' coffee )

Now, here's the main deal...Is there a point in taking Recreate the second time? Would it be better to just take the two in the morning (or even three), and then dose the cheaper ones later in the day? Or is there even a point in taking them later in the day? I just don't quite understand. I don't have an energy problem throughout my day, so if I don't need to take them, I don't want to; however, if I'm missing something, and there is actually bodily processes that occur for fat-loss because of my stim intake, then I'll take them.

HEEEEELP! I'm going crazy! I've got so many stims and don't know what to do with them.

take enough to get and keep yourself going but not anymore- excess stimulants can cause an increase in cortisol production, which may inhibit your progress.

I liked Recreate a lot at 4/day. I like your Pre-workout stack, but I'd probably drop the basic cuts in your afternoon stack and have another recreate there instead. I wouldn't have the coffee either, but I can't handle caffeine like you man.

I can already see the fat melting off, just not where I REALLY need it to. I'd love to get rid of this fat on my lower abdomen! Grrrrr!!! I guess I've just gotta keep on keepin' on. Hopefully it will come off in time.

IC - you have to understand that that is your 'trouble' spot. It is for a lot of ppl..
For some, it's the back (me). For women it's usually thighs, sometimes butt..
This will be the last area of your body you will lose fat in.

I would dose at least 1 Recreate 6-8 hrs later after your morning stack. What you want to run in the morning is up to you.

And btw - you might want to get in a slight caloric deficit as well. To hit the trouble spot, you will have to at some point, irregardless of your activity level..

Definitely working down to that point...If there is anything I learned in my last cut, it's how important it is to cut cals slowly.

That's great to start off with- I think you could see some results with even that little change. :)

I'm sure I will. It's only been about a week I've been on the revised diet and fasted training. Things should start kicking soon in the next week or so. I'm excited for tomorrows workout, but I'm even more excited for the weekend's HIIT sessions.
