Log of Unparalleled Dimensions: Viking & Irish Take On Controlled Labs

This is the fifth time or so since the beginning of this log that I experience that Hypoglycemic feeling about an hour after concluding my workout. I have an N-large II shake immidiately following my workout, and then 60 minutes later I have another meal. Within 30-45 minutes after my workouts, I've gone hypo. Start shaking top to bottom. Nauseous.

As soon as I get my meal in (I normally just on some quick sugary snack to try to get out of it) I feel 100%.

So what could cause me to go hypo?

You won't be let down, Dragonfly! Controlled Labs has some of the best and definitely most cost-effective supplements out there. I can't wait to give Green Bulge a try at some point, and I'll probably be buying a couple bottles of BlueUP for MMV2 pct. Even though it's a mild hormone, I tend to always go overboard with PCTs. So many people dread it, but I like to make it fun!

What can I say, I trust those who don't B$hit :D

To viking, hope you have a great 09 bro, look after yourself, and keep that viking power raging through your veins, like arild haugen.
I can't believe you mentioned Arild "Hulk" Haugen!! I've been watching him for a while now. And I have compared him to Thomas more than once to my friends. Thomas even looks like Arild!!

I apologize to Irish Cannon and vikinginc, if they don't want me to post videos in their thread. They are totally welcome to come to my thread and post all the videos they want for retaliation!!

But I just had to post this for everyone to see the similarities between our own Thomas (vikinginc) and Arild Haugen. It's uncanny!!

[nomedia]http://http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dbRzwMAoogw[/nomedia]

I didn't understand anything they said. Why aren't they speaking English? What's wrong with the rest of the world? Don't they realize that everything revolves around the United States?

Just kidding. That was the ethnocentric in me. :p

That guy's pretty big, I guess.

That was the most non-hardcore song I've ever heard in my life. Haha.

Arild's a damn BEAST !!! He's literally from across the fjord from where I lived back home .. My buddy's first mentioned him to me Spring time in '06, prior to me coming home for the summer. They sent me the arildhaugen.com website, and I sat there in Texas with the WTF look, wondering how the F*CK he's built himself up the way her has. Of course, seeing as he's so god damn big compared to myself, I was a hater at first .. but he's truly Representing that Viking Power. I got goose bumps when he threw up all the Atlas Stones [Strongman '08] faster than everyone else [15-16 seconds on all 4-5 stones?], and proceeds to jump on top of the trough and yell out 'VIKING POWER' just like my old favorite, Sven Karlsen. Arild is loaded with beastly, out of this world strength. He got only 2 reps behind Pudzianoqsky on the 315 lbs tire overhead presses with 9 vs 11 reps. He WHOPPED Pudzianowsky on the sack/barrel race as well as the Atlas Stones... but then Maruiz found his old ways, and came back fired up, fighting through his calf injury, and manning through each and every tormenting step of the Truck Pull [50,000 lbs worth].

.. Strongman has gotten more and more entertaining the past several years, but they keep pushing the boundaries for what is humanly feasible to do. I mean, they take the slogan, 'it it don't killl ya, it makes ya stronger,' to another level !! :head: :head: :head:

I would so much rather watch Strongman or Powerlifting than panzi bodybuilders posing down on a stage, spraying each other down with PAM and touching each other in questionable ways.

ya. The worst song to play on a video like that....

Day 16

1.5hrs Pre-workout: 1 scoop LP, 1/2cup ground oats

1hr Pre-workout: 5 BlueGENE, 3 RPM, 5mg Y

Workout: HIIT, Spin Bike, 5min warmup, 13 intervals @ 30/30, 10min cooldown

Post-workout: 2 servings of BC+EAA, 1 scoop GreenMAG, 4 scoops GlycerGROW

Meal 2 was taken 1/2hr post-workout.

I had a great session today. I thought it was going to be pretty crappy as I originally had no desire at all to go do HIIT this morning, but after taking my stims and BG, I was ready to rock.

My endurance was up pretty high. My legs weren't burning until the eighth interval. I was really pedaling hard and intense the whole time. I had the resistance cranked up 1/3rd-turn higher than normal.

Update Pics

I wanted to show these to you guys. I think I'm actually starting to gain some size in my arms/delts, FINALLY! I have a very hard time gaining size in these areas.

Here's a link to some before-pics that you can compare with.

Those pictures DO remind me of how dry I was on T-911, though! - I'll have to pick some more of that up! :D

You have gained a lot of mass in your upper body. Delts, arms and chest! Good Job! you have a lot more chest definition.

I'm going to get back to you on this. As far as I know, none of the CL supplements would cause that to happen

I wouldn't think so either. I'm sure it's just an individual thing; diet related I would assume. I don't really know what advice to give. Increase carbohydrates pre-workout, perhaps. I'm not real sure. Have you changed anything in your diet, Viking?

I might try throwing a slower-digesting carb in with that N-Large. Nothing drastic, maybe like a 1/4 or 1/2 cup of oats, something to slow down absorption a bit. Take a smaller serving of N-Large a bit to compensate for the macro intake. Alternatively, toss in a banana or eat a grapefruit instead of the oats.
Or another option: move that 1 hr. post-feeding to 45 minutes instead; this might be the best option, since that timeframe is when this issue is cropping up..

Really appreciate that advice, Snag! I will without a doubt add a slower-digesting carb to my post-workout shake, AND have my post-workout meal within 45 minutes of completing my workout.

It's strange, because I haven't made any recent changes to my diet .. the only thing I've changed is varying the timing/dosing of the GlycerGrow. I don't understand which mechanics of this product that could potentially cause me to go hypo, so I'm hoping RenegadeRows finds out something.

.. for now, i'll treat it like Snag suggested !

Weight - ?

.. So, I realize it's getting old saying, 'tonight's work out was above and beyond,' but fact of the matter is, since 3-4-5 days ago, my workouts have reached a new level. Since I upped the Blue Gene to 6 caps/pre-workout, and dosing the GlycerGrow @ 6-9 scoops/day spread throughout the day, my body's greatly appreciated it. Overall bodily volume has increased; muscles are fuller looking throughout the day. The intra-workout stimulation from the Blue Gene is unbelievable; the mind/muscle connection, I can't say enough about it. The focus .. the stamina .. the endurance .. and NOW, the vascularity ! It's ON now ! I've reached the final 4 scoops of White Flood, so I'll be running out shortly, but I've got a great supply of Green MAGnitude on hand, so I'll substitute the WF for that, and hope for less of a Laxative effect, and more of an anabolic effect. Blue Gene will last me another week and a half @ 6 caps/day. Glycergrow, another 3-4 weeks, but let me tell ya, a week before I'm about to run out of GlycerGrow, I'll be throwing down for another bottle; It's OFFICIALLY a new staple of mine!

It's been a cheating evening ..

Shrimp Alfredo with Spaghetti for post-workout dinner.

1 giant homemade burrito for a pre-bed meal [as we're speaking].

With some homemade cake in between there, thanks to my mom !

... Gotta mention that I'm having significant joint relief since upping it to 6 caps/day of the Blue Gene. I've got Incarnate coming in the mail next week, so I'm 'guaranteed' healthy and lubricated joints from here on out . . .

Looking good Irish! Definitely hardening up, I notice DEFINITE improvement! Let's keep this train rolling..

AGREE, delts and bis, major improvement.

Thanks, now if I could only get rid of that stubborn bodyfat on my stomach!!!

Have you started with long duration cardio yet ?

If your body is not responding to short HIIT sessions than it is time to HIT LONG&HARD

HAHA ! Lucky you if you can cheat like that and still look errrr, extremely SOLID :D

I haven't been doing long sessions recently, but when I did, I didn't notice an improvement in that area. I cut mostly all of that fat between November 2007 - June 2008; I was doing long duration cardio, while still in a calorie deficit, from June through September, and I still didn't improve in the lower abdominals.

But, I wasn't doing HIIT at all then, which is why I'm trying it now, as well as fasted training w/supersets. I expect to see some good results if I can keep it up. I think I may switch all cardio days to HIIT, sip some BCAAs post-HIIT, and then do 20min on the treadmill or something.

That sounds like some good eating, my friend! I used to make Shrimp Alfredo a lot...hence why I was fat. - Actually, it wasn't that bad. Whole wheat pasta, light on the sauce...I think it was the potatoes that made me gain so much weight.

You're looking great, Thomas! You have great arms. I wish I could say the same, but fortunately I'm noticing an improvement as of late which is new to me for that area of my body.

All of my new supps came in yesterday. I won't be starting Recreate for a while, maybe a month or so, but I will be starting AP and Y-RD tomorrow. I'll be taking those in conjunction with BG and WF, pre-wo.

I feel ya there man - without routine grooming, my chest and stomach hair makes me resemble my avatar!

Dude, I feel ya. It's horrible. I'm jealous of anyone that doesn't have to deal with bodyhair on chest/stomach/shoulders/back area. I hate it. Dang Irish ancestry...You know, Viking, my ancestry goes back to you guys...How come I'm not hairless?

Fortunately my leg and arm hair is blond, so that's not a big deal.

Hahaha, bro, I don't know what to tell ya there .. ancestry might lead back to Scandinavian countries, but we aren't all hairless beasts over there. Not all of us are blonde and blue-eyed .. So I just got lucky/unlucky, depending on how you look at it !

.. I must admit, though, it IS nice not having to worry about shaving my upper back and deltoid hairs ..

Yep, I'm Norwegian/Danish/German by descent and I've got light brown hair, green eyes and abundant torso coverage :)

You can and should say the same! Your arms look great Irish! Big and lean. Big vein running down the outer head. Looking solid dude!! :head:

I know that's right!! I'm hairy like a freaking sasquatch!!
I think as we inhabited those cold lands, our body hair grew accordingly to keep us warm. LOL Well, that's my story...and I'm sticking to it!!

Now, I've got to shave all of this shit off once again and get ready for new pics in a couple of weeks. I always let it all grow back between photos. Too lazy to shave that stuff all the time!

Thomas....those new pics are straight up freaky looking!! I like the top pic and then the fifth one down. Those traps are looking huge!! :head:

Hahaha, broski, I never aimed for the hair-growth to keep me warm. I was born with whale-skin .. almost literally .. the skin on my upper back/traps is so damn thick that it resembles that of a whale; to keep me warm in any scenario .. And thus far, it's treated me well, but it's a bitch when dieting !

Much appreciate those kinds word, Thunda !!

My traps have grown this Holiday, but I've put a lot into them. My back, I SWEAR, it has blown up the past 2-3 weeks; the last picture there, I've never seen such fullness in my upper back/deltoid area; it looks downright 'juiced' when I hold the camera up! but, :nono: it ain't so .. I love training back .. there is no better 'feel,' and I feel f*cking hyooouge when training it !

Ya, 'cause you can't ever get lean enough.

:p

I dig your look better now, than when you were all veiny. Obviously that's better for contest and stuff, but the thick, massy, moderate-veinage I've always thought looked so much better. That's always what I aim for. I don't know if I could be real vascular anyways, but I don't ever shoot for that.

He is very powerfull for sure, and has an awesome physique, shame he was last but one in the final, but he is young, he started on gear though when he was 15 from what ive read, he was entering school competitions, and winning them with huge lifts, he has talent, and dedication at what he wants to achieve and that is what made the gear he has taken usefull, Mariusz and poundstone in the final were just awesome.

Lookin great guys!! You guys are lookin so phuckin jacked!!!

Day 17

1.5hrs pre-wo: Meal 2 (I cut Ezekiel bread down to one slice)

45min pre-wo: 5 BlueGene, 2 Y-RD, 2.5mg Y, 25mg E, 2 pumps Napalm applied to lower abdominals

Workout:

Warm-up: 5min light cycle
HIIT: 15 intervals @ 30/30 (+3 intervals from yesterday, +5 intervals from last week)
Cool-down: 10min light cycle

Total duration: 30min

Immediately Post-workout: 2 servings BC+EAA, 4 scoops GlycerGrow, 1 scoop GreenMAGNITUDE

It was an excellent cardio session today. I felt so ready to rock about 30mins after taking my stims. It was a great feeling to get in there and totally crush my HIIT session. I feel depleted, sore, and spent, just how it should be! - I had a thick layer of sweat on my entire upper-body, and I could just feel the fat melting as I pedaled. It was definitely the best HIIT session I've ever had on the bike...this is after getting only ~6hrs of sleep last night and going to bed feeling somewhat sick. I loaded up on Echinacea and VitC before I hit the sack which I'm sure helped a lot. I feel GREAT!

Ive been around...holidays have kept me in the dark a bit but Im catchn up...Im on my way to your log Snag Priest

It's amazing what a little glycogen-depletion from HIIT will do to you. I seriously haven't felt this good after a workout in a loooooong time. :head:
