This sounds like what I need to be doing for the time being. As long as I’m lifting then I guess everything is good. I don’t want to get to a point where it becomes a chore.
That’s how I see it. If all you want to do is curls and some boxsquats and your shoulder press machine, do that. Whatever will get you down there for 45 minutes a few times a week. And remember to play some music you enjoy: it’s Dad time to help you vent steam so you can be a better person for your family. It’s a lot better than getting out of the routine of training and becoming a weenie

I started 200mg Stanogen pwo today. In 2wks I’m gonna see where I’m at and probably bust out some OG Vicious Labs treats…

Today was hella fun. Warmed up with squats and then hit the bench. Best workout I’ve had in quite some time. I felt strong and motivated but didn’t overthink a thing. I have 3 days a week to train properly so I think Monday will be a volume day since I’m most tired and most tired focusing on lower body. Tuesdays I’ll hit upper body. Friday I’ll do a heavy squat warmup followed by a few push sets.

Same. Like you, I’m just going to drop the planned routine and do what I enjoy.

Hey man, try integrating some transversal movements into your routine. Side lunges and side squat jumps really helped me over time with sciatic pain after I blew 3 discs in my back.

Might consider taking a break from spinal loading for 2-3 months & do the McGill Big 3 at least 4x a week. It can really help get things right, but you have to give the back time to get inflammation out & heal up.

Yea I think I’ll be out of the squat game for a minute. Probably gonna book with my electro acupuncture guy too. Such a bummer. I almost think my days of going heavy are behind me. I’m just constantly getting injured. It’s very disheartening.

I totally understand how you would think that, but it’s not all over if you don’t want it to be. You just need to be smart & patient. You need to be active about resting & recovering your spine health. I did it for the second time in my life this past summer. 12 weeks is not that long.

This session went very well. I decided to skip the pwo today and take 40mg oral Trest with my 200mg Stanogen. I did take 1scoop daft pump for focus. I also did not involve my lower body at all. I’m really focusing on what fun and that’s anything shoulders. Pin press is something I did to do more of to breakthrough that sticking point right at the chin. An inch above it and my press explodes.

I will, I’m not stoked for the elbows
Elbows are my least favorite. I honestly like the whole body zone-out from getting tattooed, but it’s hard to enjoy it with elbows. Just think about pussy and cheeseburgers lol

Today, just something short after a long weekend. Really had to push myself to even start this one. Once I got started I felt good but quickly ran out of steam. I’m sitting at 202lb and am maintaining so I’m happy. Hope everyone is doing well in their lives and training.

Most important things are to be hydrated, have carbs you can immediately use for stable energy, & ALWAYS invest in a warmup (wearing sweats initially is a big time saver). Get a couple pints of water in, some sodium, carbs you digest well, stims if you are using them. I don’t eat protein preWO because it just bloats me and slows digestion; I consume EAAs because I have longer training and then consume a shake postWO. Sip carbs in training if you can’t eat enough prior or to ensure no fall off in blood sugar.

You basically want to avoid fat as much as possible when you want to utilize the carbs you’re eating right away. 10g or less total IMO.

Ex)
4:15 - wake up, slam 20oz water sitting by bed, take a pee, then pull sweats on
4:25 - eat a couple packs of flavored instant oatmeal, with or without a scoop of whey, drink your coffee or preWO
4:50 - take a deuce if you need to
5am - turn music on, start a 10 min warmup

I used to do it fasted all the time. Caffeine and warmup were key for me. If you have the time, by all means add in your carbs as soon as you can.

Getting tattooed today. I’ll see how worn out I am tonight and decide if I’m getting up early haha. Thanks for all the input. I have intra carb powder to add to my eaas which I sip during. I also will probably slam a bagel with peanut butter pre workout. That is once I actually try this.
