Happy Birthday to me!

My present today is what feels like a kidney infection... Yay, I was up basically all night in pain. I started increasing water yesterday when I noticed my back where my kidneys are felt like I was dehydrated. Well even with water it hasn't subsided so I am giving it one more day and will go to the doctor tomorrow if I don't see some improvement tomorrow. Either way I am stopping all supplements until this is cleared up. Good thing I just got started yesterday not big loss. So more than likely I will resume my supplements on Monday.

I missed my workout this morning because well I didn't get any sleep last night and my kidney is hurting like a biach! It is really weird typically when I have felt that I just needed to increase water intake. I did that already and am having a nice free flow, and my urine is clear so the only symptom I have right now is the pain right about where my right kidney is. It could be a sore muscle some slight trauma from squatting I guess but I don't trust taking any more supps until I know it is good.

I should be ordering mine either later today or tomorrow, depends on the end of the month orders, then it will be started on day one of my cycle with DMZ. Already on day 2 of cycle support!!!!
I know you are excited!!!
oh no, another kleen log....gotta follow this insane stuff
Thanks for coming YG!
I hear ya on missing workouts... The adderllin is very potent IMO. I only needed 1 most of the time when i used it last summer.

Looking forward to you starting up that Dermacrine!
Me too! I definitely liked the Adderlin. I wonder if they used different levels of compression on those tabs to give it a time release or something. I took 1 at 6:00 and one at 11:00 and at 8:00 I was still talking a lot and my mind was just moving. Very alert and focused. I thought I would have trouble falling asleep but I didn't.
good luck, subbed
Welcome!
You have a great training routine in place man. I think you'll be ripped in no time!!
I sure hope so. I can't wait to be ripped up again.
great updates and wow at those cavles man
Thanks they were a gift... ;)

You are definitely right there TG, it is really going to be hard to limit myself to lower weights. That is a big reason I am thinking my big giant set routine may be best here. Even at the end of the six weeks the heaviest weight I would be lifting is a 60 lb dumbbell for 20 reps. However I would probably start a little lower and add an extra week or two.
happy birthday my man
Gracias!

Why yes it is!

Happy birthday Chris! Get that kidney better, always smart to be safer then sorry especially post surgery where it could be some kind of lingering infection (I really hope not though!!!!!!).

Happy Birthday Big Kleenster!! :birthday::fest30::fest06:

Soory to hear about the kidney infection. Drink some cranberry juice and take some cranberry extract.

Happy belated b-day man!

Thanks everybody, I just got back from the hospital doctor sent me to get a renal ultrasound, see if maybe I have kidney stones or something. My urine didn't show signs of infection so had to give a ton of blood and get that done. I should be able to find something out in the next few days. Hoping it is not a kidney stone that would suck.

Renal ultrasound what a way to spend your birthday. Sounds like no fun at all... you think being your birthday they could have at least got a cute nurse to milk your prostate...:lmao:

LMAO! Well the ultrasound tech was cute at least.

Can't believe I didn't sub sooner! In!

LOL! Well my kidney area pain is clearing up a bit so not sure what it was about will find out from the workup results.

This is really good news, was worried about you. Anything post surgery is always a reason for concern.

I get to bench, shoulder press, and lat pulldowns today!!!!

Thanks Mich and Fin!

Okay so I haven't been back too much since I got sick. I just kind of ended up taking the week off from training. Kind of sucked but I am feeling better still don't have the results of my ultrasound so don't know if I had a kidney stone or just got into something that inflamed my kidney or an infection I kicked on my own. I will get the full workup info from her early this coming week. The recent surgery is what had me a little weary of it all. Better to be safe than sorry.

Either way today is the first day I get to do pressing and pulling movements at the gym and I am very excited. So much so that if the wife doesn't feel like going she is getting left behind. She hasn't got out of bed yet and I am itching to get to the gym. Imagine that... I am probably going to take some measurements this weekend to give me an exact starting point then go from there. I have lost some weight already but without lifting it doesn't really look much different to me the scale just says I am 5 lbs lighter for the past 2 weeks of dieting. I am going to go with a lot of that being lost glycogen however I have a feeling it my be replenished after the past couple of days and I haven't weighed in since then.

The order of the day today is controlled contraction. I am not sure how heavy I will even get. However, I can assure you I won't go over 135 today even if I want too... I will only go that high if it feels good at lower weights. Got to break back in slowly.

Best of luck with the recovery. It sucks to get back to it slowly when you want to do more. Hope it's a quick and full healing process!

Awesome news Chris, just reading that makes me want to go train right now!

First Real Weight workout under the belt!

I did my first real workout yesterday, I AM SORE LIKE A BIATCH TOO!!!! In a good way don't worry. I will elaborate on that shortly first I will just get into the weights. I was being very careful and kept it high rep.

BB Flat Bench - 45x25, 95x25, 115x20, 115x20, 115x20 - I won't lie the last 3 or so on the final set were working me. I only felt slight pressure on the shoulder at 115. I know I need some pressure to stimulate the healing and I think I had it right where I needed too, no pain just a pressure / slight discomfort.

Lat Pull Downs - (60x25, 75x25, 90x16 wide grip) (90x20, 90x20 chin grip) I had to stop at 16 using the wider pronated grip was applying a little too much pressure. I changed the grip to underhanded and finished up the last two sets. It was a row that initially did the tear and the pulling is where I have to be careful.

Standing Shoulder Press - 45x25, 55x25, 60 x 20, 65x15, 65x15 - I was actually using my wifes weight for her 5 rep sets on this one.

Dead Lifts - 135x25, 225x20, 225x20, 225x15, 225x12 - I was sweating so bad by the end of this I couldn't even get a grip on my versa grips, I was going to do 15 again but it slipped and I put it down. Good enough for a first day anyway.

Curls and Triceps ext were supersetted (C 70x15, T 80x15),(C 85x15, T 95x15), (C 100x15, T 115x15)

Man I am sore, not horribly but it is just the beginning however my support muscles around my shoulder and back are sore as a mofo on both sides. They hadn't done much of anything and talk about being bitch slapped back into condition with high reps. Granted my right shoulder girdle is a little more sore than the other it is all musculature. I am sure the cartilage is a little inflamed but the pain isn't any issue so I will let it stay that way and promote more collagen production. If it becomes uncomfortable I will take some but for now I am good to go. Next week the wife and I are going to do the big giant set workout for 2 of our 3 weight workouts a week and use Saturday lifts for heavy lifting which for me means 15 rep range but for her it is when she can lift her 5 reps.
She has really been working strength lately. Some of her recent accomplishments are Dead Lifts 135x5 3 sets. Squats 145x5, Bench 85x5, standing shoulder press 65x5 3 sets, and she is only 120 lbs.

Your wifes numbers are very similar to Monica's when she was more consistant... good to see you back at it.... slow and steady...

Sweet! Glad to see your acclimating your body back to full isotonic movements. It must have felt good. Hell, I just got the ability to do bent over rows and rack deads a month or so ago and I'm stoked. I still can't DL off the floor, but in time, I hope.

Posting just so you know I am secretly watching this log haha.

The workouts are looking good and i am very happy to see you are properly nursing your shoulder post-surgery. God-willing it should be good to go in no time.

And buy some chalk...it will remedy any sweaty hands problem when deadlifting. Stuff is cheap and lasts forever...unless ur gym doesnt allow chalk. And in that case they obviously dont care about you so you should get some anyway lol.

The deadlifts are impressive considering ur just getting back and the shoulder is still healing. Looking sexy Big Kleen!

When will you know what that kidney deal was?

Looks like a nice methodical approach to your workouts ATM. Sometimes we all gotta tone it down some before we can give it hell again.

BTW, Happy Belated Bday young fella!

Good sh!t Kleen, you gotta jump back on that horse..

Started Dermacrine and Gear yesterday!

I started taking my GEAR and Dermacrine yesterday, so I will be commenting more on these as I go along. I have really been enjoying the Adderllin so far. Very clear and long lasting energy with definite improvement in ability to focus and or remain attentive even when not engaged. I am dosing the Dermacrine at 4 pumps per day right now.

Today was my first workout of the program I am using to recover from my shoulder surgery. I am going back to the Giant / Circuit training. It is 20 reps per exercise one exercise after the other no rest making a total of 3 rotations and 600 total reps. I was breaking in with the weights so I just did 15 lb dumbbells all the way through. It was still very challenging even with the lighter weights. All reps considered the total volume of today’s workout was 18,000 lbs lifted. I was sweating all over the place by the time it was done.

Everything is done with dumbbells on this workout.
Dead lifts > Bench > Squat > Bent Over Row w/ elbows out > Romanian DL > Shrugs > Standing Arnold Press > Reverse Lunges > Curls
I didn’t time it but it took about 30 minutes to complete and I was dripping all over the area I was working in. I have to say I am loving the Versa Grips with this workout. A lot of time the grip starts failing and it gets impossible to hold on. Especially a 40 rep set of step up or lunges… I was able to hold the dumbbells easier, however I was sweating enough that they got a little slick. I will have to find a remedy for that in the future, maybe just a resin bag from bowling or something. Obviously next week the weights will go up a bit. I will do 20 on bigger lifts and 15 on smaller ones for my next workout and then see if I can rock that. If so next week I will go 25, and 17.5. By the end of it I will be using about 60, 40 and 25 lb DB for same reps, and no more than 30 seconds between exercises so heavier weight a little more rest if needed but the goal is no rest, the maximum allowed it 30 between exercises. I changed the weight estimates so I don’t have to have so many dumbbells tied up for 30 minutes and it also helps me move to the next exercise without any rest.

I can see my muscles are responding to working already. My chest has gotten noticeably fuller and my shoulders are a little more well rounded. So the muscle is already trying to jump back on. I may even see a weight increase before the decrease shows back up. We shall see. As far as diet, I mixed it up a bit, I decided to not include the 60 grams of carbs daily, I would prefer to have my 2 carb refeeds a week. Once I have achieved my goal with that, I may add some of the carbs back in but for now this is just how I am comfortable running it, and I feel I will be much less likely to cheat or have any issues like that keeping carbs minimal. My blueberry smoothie is my treat and I get 2 sometimes even 3 of those a day without any major blood sugar fluctuations.

600 reps :bigeyes2:! That's gotta be great cardio too!

I have really been enjoying the Adderllin so far. Very clear and long lasting energy with definite improvement in ability to focus and or remain attentive even when not engaged.

I started up some Adderllin yesterday. I agree with your assessment here. Clear, clean, unjittery type of energy. Not all shaky like Tweek from SouthPark. Just straight forward focus and enhanced concentration.

I took the first 1 tab dose before going on a 4 hour drive. I drank a RockStar with it and it kept me wired up and very alert for the entire ride. Still felt it in my system hours later. I took another tab in the early afternoon that kept me going until bedtime.

The Adderllin had no negative effects on my sleep either. I drifted off sweetly after a very short time.

First Impressions: Very positive.

I really like that routine. 600 reps, full body, light...the pump must have been painfully good. That to me sounds like an amazing cutting routine.

Heck for my next cut after this stack im running I may hit something similar. 2 days of that plus one day of powerlifting. Or the other way around...2 days of powerlifitng and 1 day of that.

Great to see you are slowly getting back to top form!

late as always, but subbed. Glad you are on the path of healing my friend.

Ok, I've been off the radar for a while... what is this GEAR that we are talking about? I thought you were never gonna pin.

(Now as I type this I almost think there is a supplement that I have missed called GEAR or maybe you are referring to one of Mr. Supps DS products)

GEAR is made by NTBM and is definitely not a DS GMG, though the name is very misleading at first glance. Welcome back man!

Haha, just checked it out. Cool stuff. Definitely less exciting though.

Subbed!
Late, but I am new to this site so better late than never. I have unresponsive, small calves for my bodyweight so I am going to live vicariously through you during this log. Slow and steady on the recovery.

Okay, I don't have much time and unfortunately over the next week wont have much time to get on so when I do updates will be shorter.

Thursdays weight workout was more challenging. I increased the weight. This one was still the dumbbell giant / circuit set, no rest and 20 reps but the first 4 exercises were 20 lbs and the others 15. So a 5 lb increase per side on the bigger moves. Also the exercises were different. Squats, Incline Bench, Bent over DB Row Elbows in this time, Romanian DL @20 lbs, Shoulder press, Step Ups, DB Upright Row, Lunges and Bench dips @15. 640 reps this time due to the step up and lunges.

Bench 65x20, 115x20, 125x20, 130x15, 115x20

Lat Pull Down, Chin Grip - 90x20, 90x20, 105x20 105, 105x15

Standing Shoulder Press 45x20, 55x20, 60x20, 65x20, 65x20

Squat – 65x20, 185x15, 245x10, 275x8, Front squat 135x10

Curl 85x20, 100x15, 115x15

Overhead DB Triceps Ext 45x20, 55x15 x 2 sets

Shoulder was only mildly sore today but not bad at all nothing even remotely alarming. Less pain than I expect actually.

I have still neen keeping to my diet and doing well there. Tomorrow will be a little more challenge because I will be in training for Windows 7 all week. Have to get certified for the enterprise in it.

Dermacrine has arrived and shown itself with alpha male type feeling and some mild aggression. Liking the feeling but had to control it in the gym.

Seeing physique improvements pretty quickly will take some pics in a few week when more noticeable changes have been made.

Looking forward to seeing how your progress is going with those pics man. You've had some solid workouts BTW :)

Happy Valentines Day Everyone! Just finished up 45 minutes treadmill 500 calories.

Medical stuff feeling good kidney function is good but my strep titers are still elevated. Doc said could be left over from when I had it in my kidney, or could be on skin. We did another battery of tests to see what comes back. However she told me she thought I was probably fine and just elevated from the strep that used to be in my kidney. My function is good so she isn't worried much. Just specific tests to be sure. Will hear the results sometime next week if not normal because I am in training all week this week and can't go in for abnormal results until next week.

Best of luck, I hope all the test results come back better than expected. The body and mind are amazing things!

Thanks everyone. Sorry for short updates will just be fore this week. Increase weight by 5 lbs per db and on bigger exercises and 2.5 on the smaller ones. Still feels good. Recovery is actually pretty high and I feel I got faster too. I am going to time the next few.
Todays Workout

Everything is done with dumbbells on this workout.*
