No doubt an 11-12 dollar margarita had better be big and really good or come with a beer upside down in it.
 
No I haven't just looked it up, looks pretty good. Will have to give it a shot some day. We have so many restaurants here in Houston, like more than any other city it is crazy. You want a city with the best food, most titty bars, most jobs, best economy, and the second largest theatre district in the country Houston is your place, or should be!

It's pricy but the food is worth it!! I need to take a trip to Houston one day.. I live about 20 mins from Manhattan so I how what your talking about..
 
Was a perfect set up for not drinking alcohol at the concert. Get the groovy feeling going quick and then let it wear off before time to go.

Whenever wifey and I go out and socialise this is exactly how I do it. A couple drinks to get in the mood and then just ride the feeling out until its time to head home.
 
So this past weekend was a complete wash! I had been noticing my glutes and hips getting a tight feeling like they wanted to pull even at a very limited range of motion. Toward the end of the week last week it was getting kind of bad but nothing unbearable. Friday night I didn't get much sleep, no matter which way I laid I would start to feel a light feeling of electric shock after a few moments. Saturday I got up to take Trinity to her dance class and was going to go to the gym afterwards but my back started tightening up so I decided to rest and try to hit it Sunday instead. Saturday night was rough, not much sleep at all so I tried sleeping in. My back gradually aching worse just laying there. I got up to go to the restroom and by the time I got back into bed I was in excruciating pain. No matter how I moved or laid I felt like I had 10000 volts of electricity running through both of my glutes and hamstrings. I have not cried from physical pain since my first shoulder surgery ah 7-8 years ago, but this had me in tears. I got back up because walking was the only thing that helped it from being excruciating. I took a muscle relaxer and slowly paced around the room for 20-30 minutes waiting for it to take effect enough I could lay back down. It took 2-3 attempts of lying down until the pain got too bad and getting back up before I could finally stay in bed. I slept until about 4:00 got up, ate then got on the couch hung out until about 6:30 then kissed everyone goodnight took a muscle relaxer and went back to bed. I woke back up at 10 and needed another muscle relaxer as everything was tightening up and I did not want another hard core attack like the day before. Well I woke up yesterday feeling better but rough. Too rough to worry about or even consider getting a workout in. Medicated myself for the day at work and left. Luckily yesterday was one I was relatively busy all day so not too much sitting. Definitely showing improvement, but I still needed my muscle relaxer and ibuprofen before bed and woke up at almost 3:00AM needing another dose of Ibuprofen.

So... this past weekend has been a wash physically. While parts of me are dying to get into the gym I am very weary of this back situation. It is feeling a lot better today and I am tempted to go to the gym tonight but at the same time the last thing I want to do is dive right back in and experience that pain from the other day. Like I said I have a pretty high pain threshold and it had me in full blown tears.

Damn that sucks!! I don't know if I'd lift just yet, maybe some good stretching and some walking on the treadmill to test it out first..

Thanks Caz, I just made an appointment for my Chiro tomorrow afternoon. If I go in tonight to lift I think I will keep it to all machines, and probably no legs. However the intelligent thing would probably be not doing anything until after I see him tomorrow. I just don't know if I am that intelligent...

One other thing went to see Generation Iron on Saturday since I was not lifting me and Jeff went to see it. It was pretty good, you got to know a little more about today's big players. I may be waxing nostalgic here but I still think that Pumping Iron was a better documentary. This one was still good but I am not sure that it will reach the cult status of Pumping Iron which is what I was hoping for.

Oh definitely go see it and don't wait it won't be in theaters long and there is not issue of crowding in the theater. There is really something pretty awesome about seeing a crazy huge Phil Heath flexing on the big screen. I mean his traps were 2 feet tall on the screen that was pretty awesome. It was funny though every guy walked in relaxed, and when everyone walked out they were all walking like they were yoked! Lats out, chest up the whole gamut! It wasn't just me that noticed, the girl behind me started talking about it while I was thinking it. She was like look all the guys coming out of here are walking all bowed up. LOL Definitely something to see in the theater though. Like I said something crazy about seeing a 15 foot tall striated pec being flexed up close that kind of makes you go "WOW!!!"

Yeah gonna try and rest up but I feel like I need to at least get some blood into my muscles. My week off has taken a horrible turn to becoming a 10-12 day period of inactivity. Every muscle in my body is craving being used, plus I am trying to increase my calories while not doing anything, it is not going to be the best scenario for staying lean while doing so. So you understand my desire to do something, even if it is not anything huge.

Buddy of mine is gonna run test + deca (Idk the dosing) and he was thinking nolva for PCT.

I coulda sworn I read that Nolva + 19-nor is a no-no, so that's what I told him but did a little reading and I'm finding a lot of conflicting info about it.


Can you shed any light on this?

If I ever ran a 19-nor, I would have cleaned things up with clomid but that was back in the day. There's bigger and better from what I understand now.
 
I am not aware of any reason not to run the Nolva in PCT after a 19-nor but I do know that people who are prone to gyno the metabolites of the deca can cause nipple issues even in the absence of high estrogen because the metabolites are estrogenic. Not sure if that is related or not but there is not a reason that I know of. However it seems to me that in most cases you wait for the anabolics to clear before PCT so I can not imagine there being a big problem. Seems a lot of people also taper down on the deco or stop pinning it a couple weeks early so the levels of Deca are dropping the same time as the test does since Deca is a much longer ester.

When you found out you couldn't compete did you see this back problem coming on like it did. If you would have been pushing it because of the contest could have been really bad.

When you found out you couldn't compete did you see this back problem coming on like it did. If you would have been pushing it because of the contest could have been really bad.
Yeah I would have probably hurt it worse, or be even more bummed about it if doing the contest in October was still the goal. As of right now it is just a bump in the road but if I were still in prep mode this could have really effected the outcome.

Last night I got the first good nights sleep since this happened. I took my 800mg ibuprofen went to sleep and I didn't even have any issues until about 6:00 AM. I could feel the tiniest of shock feeling in my upper glute when I was in one position but moving made it go away. Really hoping the chiro can get me lined out tonight so I can go crush it in the gym tomorrow, or at least get a good pump. One thing is for sure I need to get back in the gym STAT! I will update you all when I get back from the chiro this afternoon. I think it has to do with my hips being out of alignment. They have been a little out of whack for a while but never caused a problem until now. However I have noticed that it has gotten worse recently so I assume it is the cause of this issue.

How did you know! No I severely sprained my hip flexor a while back and some stuff ended up healing out of alignment from where I was favoring it for so long. Now sometmes I get asked why I am limping because of how my hips are. It is only when I am moving slowly, kind of ambling that it really shows but even when I look the same in my footing I can feel that one side is different now.

I know girls who do roller derby and they're always turning left. Their hips are so out of whack, it's not even funny. The seams on the seats of their pants don't even align correctly anymore. Hope you get that fixed so your butt's not all lopsided.

So I went to the chiro and as expected my hips are out of alignment causing lower back inflammation to pinch off the sciatic. He told me no lifting until I go back on Friday so he can assess my recovery. Since I still had the tiniest bit of shocking feeling this morning he said lifting would only aggravate it right now and to just hold off a couple more days. I can go take a walk for a little activity but nothing strenuous or where I need to use my core too much. So for the next 2 days this log is just gonna be BS'ing with each other. Maybe I will toss in some old school "Libido Checks" IE sexy pics, of fitness girls not myself...

Take his advice for sure ... sciatic nerve and disc compression caused me to have back surgery on L4/L5 when I was 21...

Definitely am! Not in a hurry to hurt myself. I am still doing okay anyway. As a matter of fact, here is a little bit of vascularity I noticed when I got home from work. Obviously no pump hell I had been sitting in a car for 30 minutes but this is what happens now about 45-60 minutes after a meal without doing anything to get the blood pumping.

Pretty happy today is the day I will know if I can lift tomorrow or not. Have an appointment with the chiro, I think I will be good to go. Contemplating something a little more metabolically stimulating that will force me to use a little lighter weight for a bit and should ramp up metabolism. I will just see if he recommends going light for a while or not.
 
WooHoo!!!! Guess who gets to go lift tomorrow. He told me to feel things out with the weights, not go crazy heavy. Very excited to get back into the gym and hit the iron up for some gym love! Not exactly sure what I am going to do in the gym tomorrow but I may go heavy on chest, shoulders, & arms and go light and higher rep on back and lower body. I will figure it out but for now I am just happy I can go train tomorrow!
