Your winters are much more brutal than most of ours who are talking here. Kleen, Oufinny onlychevy6 and some others here are from Texas, ScottyDoc is from Georgia, and myself, I'm from Tennessee. So we are some south USA complainers who have nothing to really complain about. lol

I know you are only a few hours north of Morry & I, but that does make at least a 10 degree difference on average! I'm sure you see way more snow up there in Tennessee than we do here in the Atlanta, GA area! But, as a whole I agree, Doug will see it way worse than most of us will!!!

I'm close to Chicago where it can get pretty nasty, but I agree that Doug got the short end of the stick on the winter front. :stick:

I was in Tennessee this weekend for the LSU UT game, got my cardio in climbing the chimney tops in the smokeys. 2 and a half mile hike then a little climb. Beautiful stuff up there.

My winters are usually cold up here but i'm sure he's got me beat as we don't the extreme snowfalls like they do there.

Yeah the cold is no big deal here when it does get cold it sucks because it is also typically humid. Or well it used to be... Past few days have been gorgeous! THis weekend should be also.

Here is a little something fun to have a look at since I didn't make it to the gym this morning this is my entertainment contribution instead.

Jeff, I am already there checking it out.

I didn't make it to the gym this morning. Everything was all off kilter due to wife working late and me being up late then having to take the kids to the dentist this morning. I am going to try to squeeze in a very quick one in my garage when I get home time permitting but I have a Dinner thing for my daughters school to go to so it will be hard. If I can it will be very simply like a repeating circuit with 135 on the bar, should look something like this.

Bench 135x20 > Front Squats 135x20 > Rows 135x20 > Bench 135x20 > Front Squats 135x20 > Rows 135x20 > Bench 135x20 > Front Squats 135x20 > Rows 135x20 > fall on my face

Hopefully no real rest in there other than moving the bench out of the way. We will see I havent done bent over rows or much on front squats in a while.

Well no time for the workout I had planned wife ended up working a little late so by the time we got to the house it was time to leave. I am going to do a little lifting tomorrow morning then do my cardio. Not sure what I will do maybe 3-5 minute max reps on bench, front squat and cable rows or something, or get on the cable station and go for some steady work there and then some interval training on the elliptical. I will figure it out in the morning. I won't make it too ridiculous because I want to still have something in the tank for Saturdays heavier lift.

I didn't forget you brother! I'm just a damn busy man, but Im with ya for the ride!

I know you will kill it next time you get in there man. You always do!! Your workouts always are impressive!

You know I don't think I've missed a planned workout in at least 5 years... wow... I really needed this break. I always take the week before and week after a contest off...

Rest days are my savior.

I know what you mean. It is very rare for me to miss a day at the gym, and I have to force myself to take time off when I think I need it. I usually opt for more of a de-load than just staying out of the gym. Its been a few months since I've taken more than a couple days off in a row. I'm going to have to break down and do that after I get through my next PCT though.

Hey Guys, sorry about not being on much yesterday. I have a project at work that is consuming a lot of my time and we had to get a War room set up for about 5 contract attorneys yesterday out of the blue so the day was both chaotic and long. Here is what I did yesterday it wasn't bad gave me a nice pump and as far as I can tell shouldn't effect my lift later today. I just did a total of 3 sets on the weights with basically no rest between them and then went upstairs and did 30 minutes cardio then abs.

Flat Bench 135x30
Pronated Grip Bent Over Rows 135x30
Barbell Squats 135x40

Treadmill - Moderate intensity intervals 30 minutes 370 calories.
Ab Crunch Machine ( similar to and ab roller) 1 set of 100 crunches feet up, 1 set of 100 crunches feet down I feel them more in my lower abs when my feet are down and abs get stretched out more. I also scoot my head back farther on the apparatus so it creates added resistance due to disadvantageous leverage.

Eating was about a maintenance day due to some lifting and some cardio being done.

As far as missing workouts, I have tried to remind myself that this is just a way of life for me. I don't feel "obligated" to be in the gym on a certain day it is a want. I don't feel like I have to make up for a workout any longer. I mean I will when I feel like it but nothing bad is going to happen for me missing one workout. I may actually increase my recovery level. It used to make me anxious or I felt I needed to do a two a day to make up for missing a body part. However now I make it up if I feel like it or do something like I did yesterday to fill in the blanks a little without obsessing. I spent about 3-5 minutes total on my "make up" workout before doing cardio and it was just what I needed, and quite effective as well. I am just really trying not to obsess or be compulsive about it any longer. It is hard but I am hoping it is a healthier outlook for me. I definitely notice less stress about it.

So I decided that I would have a small meal before today's workout and it will be in the garage. The wife and I are dragging the kids out there with us. I had 8 oz skim milk 30 grams whey and aminos combo, and a peach about 45 minutes ago. I will be working out around 2:00.

Today I have to change it up a bit being in the garage, and it will more than likely be:
Incline Bench 15-25rp
Dorian Rows 15-25rp
Arnold Presses 20-30rp
Barbell Curls 15-30rp
Lying Triceps Ext 15-30rp
Lying Leg Curls 15-25rp
Trap Bar Dead Lift - WUx8, WUx8, WSx15, WSx15, WMx20

Well we are going to they gym instead now. The kids didn't want to workout with us with the heavy weights. I think after I get home and have some food we are gonna go play with the tires they want some physical activity. Just the weights don't sound as fun to them.

Keep up the good work Kleen! Hope the workout goes well...

2nd DC Style Full body.

Okay today was pretty good, I feel great just had a nice big meal after my workout and am feeling great. I thi some nice numbers on my lift today and was pretty pleased with them. I am doing all of my lifts in the 15-25 range for those of us over 35. I had to do a little editing of the picture here to make it right but I just didn't want to type it all out.

I was really happy with the incline 14 reps on the original work set was beast, and hacks going up to 365x8 was money, then getting 275 on the widow maker for them was brutal and felt great. Major accomplishment there. I couldn't believe as few people that were there the leg presses were all in use but once I got my footing right on the hack squat sled it was go time. I really wanted to hit my quads more directly since regular squats get my adductors and posterior chain far more then they do my quads. So regular squats were not an option in my mind today. When I started out I was thinking I would be doing a 225 Widow Maker so that was just fuggin sweet!

Comments on the stack. I have to say I am definitely getting a little more libido and maybe some extra aggression now. The nightly pole vaulting sessions have not stopped as of yet, and the boys seem very full and firm. I am also starting to notice getting more oily in the forehead and a couple more pimples on the face and the one or to popping up on my back every once in a while. These are signs if higher test for me as I typically have a pretty good complexion.

Sounds like the natural test recover process is going great!

Have you added anything in yet? or are you still just running the PCT black, and HCGenerate?

Well I have been running the PCT Black and Formula X for about 3-4 days longer than the HCGenerate but the nightly wood arrived with the HCGen... I have some ZMA but am waiting to use it until after. I am taking Muscle Marinade as a pre workout but that doesn't do anything for test. I am also taking some 1-Carboxy to increase GH output and keep the prolactin sides from DAA down.

We went with the Epi-V to rid me of that water. Thanks for your help as always bro, and here's that link.

Today I did HIIT cardio, Hill Sprints to be exact. I walked a mile to get there, I ran up a 35-40 yard and 45 degree or steeper hill. Then heel toe walked slowly with negatives to really work the quads on the way back down. I went up 21 times and down 22 then walked the mile back for my cool down.

Food I broke my fast at 4:00 PM with 60 grams protein powder and 1 cup blueberries in a smoothie. About to have chicken taco salad for dinner. Probably have about 1 lb of chicken breast meat with lots of lettuce and hot sauce! Maybe a little fat free refried beans too just a little though.

nice work man. You buy your taco salad? Or make it? Interested to "spice" up my diet a bit... i'm actualy getting tired of boiled chicken breast, and sweet potatoes day in and out...

Chicken taco salad doesn't sound half bad. I used to have that every now and then on burn days. Only thing different is I add in salsa and fat free shredded Cheddar cheese and sometimes I use lean ground beef instead of chicken. I'm going to have to give that a go again soon :food:

I make it. Not from scratch persey but I used a lazy mans way today. I used 5 13 oz cans of chicken breast and 4 lbs worth meat of taco seasoning then cut up all my own veggies. However boiled chicken breast would work and probably taste better too. Yeah man unless you are just anti sodium there are tons of things you can do easily. With moderately lower carb eating though sodium is not a problem. Helps you stay hydrated.

Yeah it is a burn day today. Otherwise I would have added in some tostada shells, maybe even seasoned up some rice. I did have a tiny bit of 2% cheese on it. Mostly thought was picante and jalapenos for flavor / heat.

Time has been very tight lately hehe, thats my only quarrel. I used to make elegant dishes... now i just have trouble boiling my 6 chicken breasts, 8 sweet potatoes and putting them in the freezer.. for lunch at work I just pop one of each out of the frozen zip lock. Add some veggies in the fridge to the container, and then nuke them at work... then dinner is pretty much the same.... Post workout I'll eat 2 sweet potatoes and one breast though. pre bed is one breast plus a lot of fat...

Well the canned chicken method takes 5 minutes on the stove.

Sounds like some good stuff like the special bean dip. used that on a tostada and mmmmm was delish. And or eat it alone or with chips. MMM Now I am freaking hungry. guess I need to go to bed.

true, very true :)

Thanks for the idea man. :D

Plus you can rinse the canned chicken. I used to do this when I bought it. It doesn't help a TON, but it does make a difference. Kleen is right on as well about the carbs and sodium. Keep carbs (specifically complex) on the lower side and sodium won't bloat you as bad.

Yummmmmm, taco salad. I just had protein pancakes with protein icing....I'm stuffed but some taco salad sound focking good!!!

It definitely has a canned tuna quality, but is not too bad in a pinch. Also it's good when mixed into a dip or in this case taco salad. I don't think I could handle it straight out of the can though.

Ha ha ha maybe thats why it is called chicken of the sea. Lol

I usually good like 10 breasts at once so I have enough for the week...

Me too bro, I feel like I'm constantly cooking some kind of protein. I left the grocery store Sunday with 4 pork tenderloins, 5lbs of chicken, 4 dozen eggs, and 2lbs of shrimp. I'll probably be back buying more by Friday. It's just never ending!!

Yah that's why I shop at costco... quantity for a good price...

It isn't. It's the most bland thing you ever tasted. Gotta spice that stuff up with some seasonings.

I don't do canned chicken well myself. I prefer grilling up some breasts and doing what I want with them from there whether it be dicing them up for a salad or eating them whole

I personally try to stay away from pork when I'm trying to lean up, I mean unless I consider it a cheat, like all you can eat Ribs, LoL!

I can honestly say I have never eaten chicken out of a can in my life, or at least not to my knowledge!

Todays lift and responses.

Well lucky me during my Hill Sprints yesterday I twisted my knee at one point. I didn't hurt at the time but by the time I went to bed last night I had already put 2 coats of Skelly balm on it and still needed to sleep with a pillow under it. I woke up this morning and it wasn't much better. I put on my knee support and went to the gym anyway but changed my workout from the normal one to accomodate this.

I went to the Free Motion Cross Cable machine and did an upper body circuit of cables doing 20 reps of presses, rows, crossovers, flies, pull downs and straight arm pull downs from all angles and no rest. In between every other exercise I did either a Farmer's Walk with 80 lb dumbbells, or a suit case walk with a single 80 lb db the distance was about 60 yards up and back. I broke a nice sweat and had a pretty good pump by the time it was over. My knee held up well but it is still pretty sore and tight.

Hmmmm protein icing? Recipe?

Not in general no. But in a taco mix it is great considering the convenience of it.

No I don't think it is good that way either.

Yeah sometimes I do that sometimes not. Just depends on what I have going on. Kids, work, social crap, sometimes I just want to sit instead of dealing with cooking.

Yeah the protein consumption gets expensive as hell. That is why I fall back on whey protein in a lot of cases.
Yah that's why I shop at costco... quantity for a good price...
Yeah we get most of ours from Sam's for the same reason.

It isn't. It's the most bland thing you ever tasted. Gotta spice that stuff up with some seasonings.
YOu know it!
Yah I know that drill...
Of course I will grill chicken breast, ground turkey basically any meat I have thawed before opting to bust into the canned meats of any kind.
