Oh I’m not sure...I meant him -not me. I’m just enjoying the results! Haha It’s just been once a week or so.
Once a week or so?!?! How the hell is he not wanting you all the time? You need to just grab hold of him and say, "Listen here little boy, you're going to do what mommy tells you!!" Lol!!

Haha I didn’t mean only having sex once a week or so. Just meant taking any boosters for extra fun. Sex 4-5x’s a week is good enough for me! Things on my side have been more, umm, dynamic, I guess you could say- since starting the bio identical HRT.

Another great week in the books! A bit more tired this week but I’ve been going to bed about 9:45 most nights so that’s about an hour earlier. Have had a little pain as well so I didn’t push going past 225 on Deads and actually skipped squats this week. Probably nothing but just playing it safe.

Today’s leg session kicked my butt! I had nothing left when I left! Such a great feeling though!! Feel like my glutes have shrunk a bit- - hoping it’s more that they’re leaning out though...I know I’m doing plenty of glute training! Lol

Have any (or all) of you guys used tadalafil or cialis? We just recently started doing some research with it...and WOW is all I can say!
I use Cialis 5mg a day for BPH but just even that helps a bit, a full recreational dose of 25, I would break my wife then spend the next day and a half getting half hard if the wind blew. So unless for a romantic getaway where a lot of action is planned I have no use for a full dose. I have tried viagra too, nice and at least it doesn't result in embarrassing teenager situations for a day and a half for me. LOL
Oh I’m not sure...I meant him -not me. I’m just enjoying the results! Haha It’s just been once a week or so.
Yeah I mean even young guys use the stuff for the improved performance. No shame in the game. LOL

DEFINITELY leaner and more tone. You are obviously recomping very nicely Kat. If you are staying the same weight or only losing a little then your muscle memory is treating you amazingly. The test doesn't hurt either I am sure!

Thank you so much Chris! Definitely think the test has helped with the muscle memory and strength regain. I haven’t weighted in a couple of weeks but starting to feel like things are moving in the right direction! As for the cialis, he typically just uses 5-10 on occasion and it’s more than enough! Definitely don’t think I could handle a full 25! I have a hard time with 10

Good morning! Things are still moving along...strength is still improving slowing down a bit as I get closer to my maxes. Of course, I’m impatient and want more but that’s not how it works! Lol

Main lifts this week were
flat bench 115x5x4,
incline 95x5x4,
push press 115x3/105x5x3,
back squats 185x1(too ambitious) 165x5x4/ bottom holds 95x8x3,
Deads- I was interrupted with a talker for way too long- had to unrack and just finish up to get out.

I haven’t weighed but weight is definitely not moving like it should be with my nutrition and training. Trying not to get frustrated and stay focused/positive! May have to ask to check levels again in a few weeks because I’m still having a good bit of symptoms as well.

Sorry for the lack of updates. Last weekend we moved our daughter back into college. We went a couple of days early and made it into a mini vacation. This weekend is our son’s birthday so we are having a small party for him and playing on the lake.

As for training- strength has pretty much leveled out for now. Fill like muscles are still filling out and maybe even growing 🤞🏼Still don’t feel like weight is dropping like it should though! I set up a consultation with a local nutrition coach for next Friday. Will be doing a metabolic test as well! Hoping he can get things moving in the right direction! He came highly recommended by a friend of mine.

We typically close the first week of school but with all of the changes, our scheduled time off landed before school actually starts back around here. I have plenty of PTO so I’m taking a few days to catch up on house work and spend some time with my son before school starts back. So I slept in this morning and went into the gym later. Had a great chest session working sets were 125x3 actually got 4 on the first set but with a reset/pause so just going to count it as 3. Lol Felt good today! Also, started working sprints into my cardio today! Worked up from 6mph to 8. First time I’ve been able to run over 6 since my surgery.

You’re the best Rocket!!

Awesome session today! Deadlifts felt really good! I was planning on 205 being my top set but everything went so well that I worked up to 235x3 New (post surgery) PR. Finished up with pull-ups and some rows...as well as cardio of course.

I just finished an hour of cardio! (Yes, I might be a little crazy! Lol) Lots of stretching after as well. Dang plantar fasciitis is flaring up again. I know issue stems from my right hip being out of alignment. Anytime I do a good bit of walking/running it acts up. Also, started clen today.

Just finished my consultation with the coach and metabolic test. He’s very nice and straight forward. Didn’t tell me anything I didn’t know...but I’m obviously screwing up somewhere. He and I were both very surprised by my metabolic test. My RMR is 1987 calories. Total expenditure is 2787 calories a day. Crazy!!! He said my thyroid meds play into that reading. His suggestion is to start at 1900-2000 calories.

Didn’t get to lift yesterday as planned so I went in this morning to train legs. Was a great session!! Wore a hoodie, which I rarely do for lifting but man, it had me poring sweat! Funny thing- it’s new and I forgot to wash it first...so when I went to take it off towards the end of my workout, much to my surprise, I was COVERED in black fuzz. All I would do was laugh and put it back on. Came home and scrubbed it off in the shower! 🤣 #goodtimes

Back squats
Worked up to 185x3x2
Finished with a super slow set of 95x10 with bottom holds

Kneeling squats
225x8x2
SS w/ glute bridge(hip circle)

Leg curls
90x12x3 sets

Leg press (less that shoulder width)
480x12
570x10x3

Calf press on leg press
300x15x2

Leg extensions
110x12x3

Glute cable kickback
60x12x2

Cable crunches
100x12x2

The mental part of “eating more” is hard for me. I’ve struggled with eating disorders pretty much all of my life...and for a good part of the last 10-12 years I’ve been on a diet of some sort....but I just need to stay focused on the end goal and try to get things right this time!

The effects of yo-yo dieting over a long time can cause a lot of damage to your hormones and metabolism. This is usually the cause when females are eating next to nothing, doing too much cardio, and can't lose weight. As indicated by your tests your RMR where if you laid in bed and did nothing is more then what you are eating, and why you can't lose weight when you factor in NEAT + exercise putting you at such a large caloric deficit it is doing more harm then good.

This can only be fixed by figuring out a few things
- are there any underlying medical issues that need to be fixed?
- Are there any issues with thyroid, insulin, a1c, testosterone, or estrogen? I know some girls who have the testosterone of 0, and no matter what they try and do it won't work.
- Raising calories to restore your metabolism
- Get out of the yo-yo dieting of large swings of calories and then low periods of calories

Social media is a mental mind F for females because everyone always shows themselves at their leanest, and its hard to see that image fade in the mirror, but we have to realize being lean for so long is not always optimal, ideal, or healthy for our long term health.

A majority of studies show yo-yo dieting leads to a higher body fat percentage. This can lead to other changes that make it harder to lose weight.

Layne had a great point from his FLF Book with researching showing the following:
Check out this study (in rats but rat metabolism is very similar to human metabolism) detailed on page 27 of Fat Loss Forever (link below) where researchers had rats diet to lose a certain amount of weight. Then they let them regain the weight back to their original weight. They put the weight back on twice as fast as they lost it. Then they attempted to have them diet back down eating the same amount of calories as before but this time it took them TWICE AS LONG to lose the same amount of fat on the same calories as before!!!! Then they let them regain it back to the original weight again... THEY REGAINED IT 3x AS FAST!

When you do so much damage to your body over a long period of time it will be a VERY LONG and a very mentally draining process to trying to restore your body to homeostasis. It won't be easy and you will have a lot of mental struggles in the future, but it can be done if you trust the process and know there will be a lot of uncomfortable periods and decisions that will only make you stronger if you follow through with them.

I could post a lot more but I think you get the point and I don't want to write a bible in here.
We live and learn, we make mistakes, but we have to carry on and push through them in order to be the best person we can be. Don't let it get to your head and know its a temporary setback.

Wow, thank you so much!!! I needed this and I’m sure Kat did as well. I’m currently dealing with the effects of yo-yo dieting. I’m on more medication than I was before I started my journey. Definitely learning through my mistakes and trying to get back on track.

And yes, social media totally destroys people’s self esteem, and is the reason why I stay off of it.
