I don't know how I'm going to do it.


I just started my part time job and will have to shift everything around. I was thinking:

4am up and head to the gym.
830-530 work.
630-10 MF/ 730-330 Sat-Sun
Friday and weekends- School and homework.

Sounds good?

Very doable. Itll take a bit to get used to training that early, but trust me, once you get used to it , it makes your body feel much better throughout the day

That's what I'm doing now.
5:30am wake up
6:15-7:30 gym
9:00-6:00 work

Like titan said, you'll get used to it.

I wish i could have somewhat a normal schedule, but sometimes even if it's harder than you orignally you've just got to remind yourself your working towards something and if it was easy everyone would be doing it. Personally i work construction here's my lovely schedule.

Wake up 4:20
Leave to work 5:00
Home from work 7:00
Groceries/ laundry/ supper 7:00-8:00
Gym 8:00 10:30-11:00
Last meal and bed by 12:00 12:30

Not much time for anything.

I have a friend who "can't" work because his one day a week class takes up too much time. I have another friend who works from home and is looking for a nanny, cuz she "can't" work and watch the baby at the same time.

yup one day a week class is too much to handle LOL don't think he will ever understand the meaning of hard work or work ethic. Too bad lots of people are thinking this way now. I believe it's on how you were raised personally and seeing your parents go through hardships is a lot to do with how you end up.

I work a 24 hour shift at the fire department, get off, hit the gym, shower eat, go to sleep by noon-1pm, wake up, eat, go to EMS for a 12 night shift(when cravings are ridiculous), get off around 6am, eat, go to the gym, and take care of whatever I need to, be in the bed by 9:30 PM in order to start the whole thing over again. Its rough at times, but Ive made it work for 14 years,minus the 2 years I was in Iraq. Its all in what you want, and what wants you can turn into needs

A girl interrupted me in the middle of my set to tell me that my legs were beautiful. Awww. I was feeling like crap cuz I haven't trained in a week and a half and felt like my gains were gone.

It happens to everyone, well, everyone who trains at least. Its called life, and it tests us for what were made of. If this lifestyle was easy, fat wouldnt be such an epidemic! And yes, stay focused, and itll always get better!!

3 days is still more than many and honestly not far off from a perfectly acceptable routine.

In college I trained MWF and that was it aside from random sports here and there and I made plenty of progress. I could cut back on days now and make progress; I just am in there more because it's easier for me to stay on track lol.

Thank you! Hey, I think 3 days with you just starting your crazy schedule is pretty dang good! Maybe you could just do full body workouts/circuit to maximize your time and minimize the extra mess in your schedule. You do need sleep too!

I have been fighting some knots in my upper back so the squats were aggravating that a bit...I was pretty stoked about my push press numbers today though. Funny how strength increases come in spurts and for different muscle groups!
