I think it's the skull crushers and the overhead db extensions. What would the pressings be? Dips?
Dips, close grip bench, reverse grip bench (I do them on smith) Close grip super incline bench.

Skull crushers are designed to hit your thrd head of your triceps. Any overhead movement will do this also, so overhead pressing like any gri of shoulder press will also hit the third head. Close grip shoulder press and high inclines are great for this too.
Yeah when you get your elbows out away from the body, there's more stress on the tendon. It comes with the territory when you're trying to add some meat to the triceps down by your elbow. I was taught that movements like that strengthen the tendon. Also was told, "If it hurts, it's weak. If it's weak, we train it!"

One thing you can try before ditching them from your routine is to start off triceps with pushdowns. Light and for high reps. It'll get some blood and warmth in your elbows before you do that other stuff. I do four or five sets of 15-20 before all my pressing days. Sleeves would help too. And every once in awhile I mash the hell out of my lower inner triceps and the tendon with a barbell.
I was going to say the same thing, 4 sets of 12-15 on rope triceps extensions then maybe a couple sets of dips and then do a few sets of 15 on skull crushers or incline skull crushers while you are full of blood and the muscle is tired so lighter weight is being used.
Not sure. It may just be a build up of muscle tension. Last time it happened, my hips were off real bad creating an imbalance in my legs. Guess I'll have to go to the chiropractor.

Thank you! I will watch them! My hips have been hurting too so that really may help a lot!
Yeah go see the chiro, make sure nothing is out of line. Also if you really want to look at some soft tissue techniques check out Kelly Starrett from M-WOD he damn near pioneered the self recovery / spot tissue manipulation and has a great book out called Becoming a Supple Leopard. His stuff is pretty amazing. Invalid Link Removed

Thank you! I may have to go to the chiro, too! My back has been killing me.

Kat, take a drive out to The Compound gym and see Donnie. You will be fixed today.

Total douche wear.

Excuse the deadlift battle scars. As you can tell, the bar always wins.

These feel like hairy nuts on my lips. Haha, every time I eat one, it tickles my lips and I laugh!

Late to the party, but in regards to skull crushers, I had to do them as a primary lift for baseball in HS and absolutely hated them because of the pressure on my elbows regardless of close or wider grip. Stopped doing them in college when I lifted on my own for that reason, but saw a guy doing them on a low incline bench several years back and chatted him up about it.

I now so them the same way and it made all the difference in taking the pressure off of my elbows and actually putting it on my tris.

I agree. Kelly Starrett is great too! He did some stuff with Jill Miller. Google MobilityWOD and YogaTuneUp, two great resources!!

You're not a 12yr old girl, and this isn't Twitter. Kill yourself. Twice. Ugghhhhhh

OT:

I really love my new job! My coworkers are so awesome to me, and even though I've only been there for a week, customers are already asking for me and coming in to just see me. Sooooo awesome and weird at the same time.

My dilemma-
Another job called me for an interview and I booked it for the 9th because I wanted to spend some time and think about it. I wish that they had called me before I took this job. It's better pay, pertains more to my degree, and closer to home.

Money is not everything but I don't want to miss a good opportunity, too. I don't know, I'm torn...

Damn! that's definitely hard to decide, I would see how the interview goes and check the place out and see how it feels, and g o with your first instinct once you leave after weighing pro's and con's but don't over think it.. you will go with the right one, I have faith

Do what's best for you! Think about it and go with your gut!

I thought you would be a cop.
I was waiting for a selfie with a nightstick and handcuffs!

I'm still in the process. The way things are going, it can take up to a year and a half. This is just while I'm waiting.

Haha, and no selfies like that. :D

Thank you, guys!

Wade, you're still my fav!

Why am I up at 5 am? It's Saturday!

Because it is the start of a new day.. a new adventure in life !!!

Yes!!!!! I'm on my way to the grocery store! :D gotta plan so I can succeed!

lol, I think I knocked out about 830 last night, too!

Sigh*** I spent too much on grocery, but I have to tell myself that it's cheaper to be prepared than eating out every day because I'm NOT prepared.

I'm the same way. Hubby still eats out a lot during the work week, but even on days we are out & about I try to take things for little one & me. Eating healthy is expensive!!

Yes, it is but so worth it!

Out of everything I bought, these portion bags are what I'm the most excited about!

Sike, I'm going to be lazy. I'm getting sick.... Again!

What do you do that you're sick all the time?! I haven't been sick in like 15 years ha

Sorry Boone, it definitely wasn't you I woke up beside this morning. The empty bottle of wine, tequila bottle, and shot glasses helped me piece together whose bed I woke up in though. Lol

I don't know, it's so weird! Every weekend, I get sick then by Monday I'm fine. Today, I got a headache and a sore throat. I really think sleeping in or napping is causing this because I don't get sick this often. Lately, I've extremely exhausted and have been going to bed really early.

Oooooh weeee! Sounds like you had fun!

Sounds almost like you might be allergic to something in your house? It only seems to show up when you spend a lot of time there?

I was going to say the same thing. Check for molds, change air filters, etc.

Thank you, guys. I'm thinking the same thing. During the weekdays, I get home late and by 6:30 am I'm out the door. On the weekend, I'm home all day and I'm lethargic all day. Last weekend, I couldn't get out of bed at all. I was soooooo tired, even my pwo couldn't get me up.

That sounds miserable. Yeah, definitely check for allergens & toxins.

Sounds like that's definitely it. Mold is a huge culprit for symptoms like this and is often very hard to see or find. Is this something that developed recently?

I'm always a lazy bum on the weekend but within the last few months, I've just been really lethargic. Even right now, I want to train but I feel so tired.

Have you introduced anything new to your house? New mattress? Sheets? Pillows? Furniture?

No, nothing new. You think it's running on low all week and then crashing on the weekend?

This is how I am! Sure hope you feel better!

You could find out by making a hard effort to get more rest one week and see if that helps? Start eliminating one thing at a time
