That’s the name of the game here. Need to get my diet on track again, but that will come. Gonna step on a scale this weekend and see where I’m sitting. I imagine I lost weight during bar prep and am probably hovering in the 180s.

Kinda soft right now but not out of control. And strength is still good.

I think it is usually like 6-8 weeks or something like that with the baby attorneys here.

Didn’t love the fly press today. Just wasn’t really feeling my chest the way I would’ve liked, but I’m glad I tried it, so now I know it won’t be one of my preferred movements to fill that slot in my chest day.

How did Trapbar feel for RDLs compared to a barbell? Never tried that.

I got to try a couple pieces of Arsenal Strength equipment this weekend; I was impressed.

I prefer it. Feels much safer to actually load up heavy, too.

A couple of forced reps for most exercises as I was training with a buddy today. He’s probably gonna be feeling this one tomorrow

Didn’t have much luck on the progressive overload side of things today, but I’ll chalk that up to poor sleep and try again next week.
Right, it is the consistency that really does the work, not the best days in between. Just hard to remember that sometimes.
 
Haven’t been in the gym since my last update. Have been packing and loading up my apartment. Will be bringing everything down to my storage unit in Houston tomorrow and spending a few days down there before heading back to Austin for a little while.

I am very tired and am not looking forward to unloading this trailer tomorrow.

Just got back into Austin yesterday and back in the gym today. Been fighting some kind of respiratory bug for a week or two. Still some congestion and a lingering cough but feeling back to something approaching normal today.

Ran out of gas pretty early. Probably still fighting some fatigue from being sick.

Sucks on the running out of gas. I just got over COVID and am going to try my first session at the gym tonight. Hoping I can get the job done. Pump Addict will be helping out with energy, so I hope it works out.

Yeah, it’s always tough coming back from a virus. I got legs tomorrow, so we’ll see how that goes.

Which is what I did cuz I didn’t feel so hot yesterday

Didn’t sleep great the night before and woke up with a bad headache. Decided not to risk getting injured or anything (especially after seeing your post about the hammy tear from coming back too early).

Feeling better today after some much needed rest and think I may be up for it today, though.

Would’ve liked a couple of sets of RDLs to finish out, but I didn’t have it in me today. Gassing out pretty early still and strength isn’t all the way there, either.

Better than nothing, though.
 
Those pendulum squats are serious eh? I really like them now that I have access to one!

I had to cut my leg workout pretty short too, but it did the trick, I can feel the quads were worked today.

Yeah, it’s probably my favorite quad movement right now, but they absolutely suck ass when done with any kind of tempo on the descent.

Shoulders and biceps today. Went pretty well, but I’m still not 100%. Spitting up some foul **** this morning.

Rest day tomorrow. Planning to move into a 4 on/1 off rotation going forward. Will be 1) Chest/Tris, 2) Back, 3) Legs, 4) Shoulders/Biceps, 5) Rest, 6) Repeat.

Trying to stick to something around 10-12 work sets per session and 4-6 work sets per muscle group per session.

Oh yeah, you can just feel the fibers stretching against the slow negatives. I love them!
It really is best to live to fight another day.
Absolutely, it was you reminding me about the hammy situation you had that had me backing off the lower body session early yesterday too.

I am still clearing out too, I am surprised how much at this point. My wind is improving a little more now though, which I appreciate. Hopefully yours does too!

Yeah, honestly wouldn’t use it again for those. It felt fine, but I needed more weight and just got tired of hauling plates around and was gassed so I figured it was good enough.

But it was probably closer to junk volume than productive work.
