Jayhawkk's The One log

I ended up taking the day off from work. I was basically up all night and felt like ****. I came home and jumped into bed and took some meds and woke up about 4 hours later drenched in sweat but felt a ton better! Been drinking water constantly and eating about every 2 hours. Good news is that it looks like this had nothing to do with The One.

He could have had a bug.. There has been a nasty virus going around, I was actually in the ER a few weeks ago to get some fluids in me because of whatever it is making its rounds.

True, but some guys have reported heating up on this, i have read, if i am not mistaking.. but bugs are out there...lol
 
i use to heat up when i was on phera..i guess it could have been from water retention..imo!

Ouch! I had a flu that wouldn't go away for 2 weeks. I can still feel it at lingering, but most guys I know have caught something nasty.

Hope you recover quickly Jay; lotsa sleep and Vit C :) Maybe some good ginseng if you have it. My biggest mistake wasn't staying out of the gym initially to get over the flu, hopefully you're wiser .
 
Yesterday was my day to lift in the bench competition and it sucked... I knew I was going to lift light but had to give it a shot. Put up 350 semi-easy and tried for 375 and only got it about 6-8 inches off my chest. Probably could of got 360 but wasn't too pressed to take the chance of injuring myself. Overall i'm not too unhappy considering in down from 250ish to 230 and running over 30 minutes now. It is a lot less impressive in the gym to lift under 400 pounds though. It also sucked because people in there have seen me lift more in the past and several of them shrugged it off to me being ' off cycle'. Those are the ones that always think you're on something if you can lift anything apparently.

Anyways, after the lifting was shoulder night...

Notes: Once I came to terms with my bench I was able to have a good workout. I worked out with a friend of mine who also works at the gym so I was able to stay past closing to get my workout done. No cardio afterwards, i'm going to hit cardio up first today before going to the gym. I'm completely feeling fine now and not waking up covered in sweat or getting up all hours of the night.

Appetite- Seems normal other than the fact when I am hungry I have a slight hypo feeling. Nothing like i've had in the past but I know the symptoms well enough to spot it before it becomes an issue.

Blood pressure 136/72

Sleep- Slept very comfortably without getting up in the middle of the night. Woke up refreshed as well.
 
Thanks but just doesn't feel impressive when it's less than i've lifted but considering all things it isn't too bad. On a good note, it may have been enough to place. Someone lifted 385(shirted) but weighed 267. His added weight will drop him lower than me I believe.
 
Yeah gonna get a few up real soon... Might be a delay in getting back up due to needing 'trim' things up first lol.

Notes: Run felt a lot better than the one I had a few days ago. I was paying close attention to any tightness in my lower back(back pump) and never got any. Plenty of pain everywhere else though but that's normal for me lol. Legs are still weak as hell but i'm working on it. it would be nice to see some kind of definition down there someday. Calves aren't looking too bad lately though. I'm noticing some increased sweating at night. I'm not too sure if it's just the warmer weather around here and the temp in the house hasn't been adjusted yet or if The One has anything to do with it. I
ll be paying closer attention to this.

Appetite- No increase in appetite but i'm staying hydrated as often as possible to avoid this.

Notes: Felt pretty good but had some shoulder pain during my dips so I decided to switch over to the Hammer Strength and pick up decline work over there. I think i'm going to go with dumbell work on my next chest day. Taking a couple days off from running. I'm getting a lot of pain on the inside of my shin/calf area that feels like shin splints. I slept over at my girlfriend's place which is a bit cooler than mine and had to take my shirt off after sweating through it a bit. It wasn't soaked but it wasn't comfortable.

Appetite- Still same, no increase in hunger and I didn't drink too many fluids.

Blood pressure Didn't get a chance to take it today.

Sleep- Slept well

Diet - My diet isn't close to finely tuned but for the most part i'm keeping it healthy. Very little snack foods. I'll give some sample daily diets over the next few days. So far this morning I had 3 whole eggs 2 egg whites, 1 oz shredded FF cheese, one serving black beans, two pieces of low fat turkey bacon, 12 oz water
Muscle Hardness- As i'm typing this at 0800 in the morning i'm feeling myself up :) Arms are solid and slight pump to them and same with chest.
Vascularity- i'm fat... I do have increased vascularity in my forearms and upper chest (only two areas i really have any that can be measured)
Strength- I haven't noticed a real increase in strength as of yet but I have noticed a loss of a decrease of strength from my running.
Speed- I haven't measure this in my cardio but i'm taking a bit less time between my sets so speed of recovery seems to be happening
Co-ordination N/A
Quality of Training- My workouts are regularly quality workouts with occasional bad days. No real change in this since beginning The One
Mood/Aggression- No change
Libido- Slight increase

lookin good bro. I feel you on the soreness in shoulders and hips mine kill right now!
 
My legs are weak...very weak! My cardio is more important at the moment so I run before. once my weight comes down and i'm in shape enough where it isn't an absolute horror to run then i'll be placing my runs at the end of my workouts and probably skipping them on leg day completely.
 
Day 8

Notes: No GD workout due to the oncoming shift supervisor showing up late... again!!! I finally got off but too late to hit the gym so i ran with my GF. It was a solid run but the last 4-5 minute my left foot up to my lower shin went to sleep like I was sitting on it. I sweated moreso than I usually do on that kind of a pace(moderate). No lower back pains at al which makes me so happy you just don't understand lol. I could of went further or ran a bit faster but i was enjoying the pace and decided to keep it as is. I am still sweating a bit more than normal too.

Sex Drive-A bit higher

Notes: Didn't get off until late again today! Had plenty of time to workout though :) Felt pretty good considering i've been up since 0400 this morning at I started working out at 7pm. Hadn't ate since 430pm but still had soem energy. Not as much as I would have if I had a pre-workout drink handy or ate closer to working out. Won't happen on a back day again.

Appetite- Slightly less than normal but I had a lot on my mind today. Step son from my divorce went missing at 0100 with his GF this morning and was just found about 20 minutes ago. Dealing with that put eating as a lower priority. Tonsils feel a bit irritated and throat a little sore. Gonna take some Nyquil.

It seems they didn't find him and his girlfriend. they thought they had them located but when they got there they had already left. As of 0500 this morning their still missing/running. Still can't understand how they think this will work in keeping them together. The girl's grandmother has apparently said she can no longer stay with them. So even when they're found this girl is gone even further.

I remember being a teenager but I don't remember ever thinking like this.

man ive done some stupid **** as a kid but running away is not one of them lol. hopefully they find them and they are both safe and didnt do anything stupid
 
well,for me,growing up with female cousin's!..i would have to say that there much more crazier then there male counterparts!..LOL..IMO!....running away would have never been a part of any of my game plans!

At least we know they're alive and just... stupid. If I was still with his mother there would have been a trail of people getting their ass beat. Those giving him a place to stay. their parents and eventually him. He's smarter than this.

Amen to that. Adolescents are crazy, and by crazy I mean retarded. My mom would have had multiple heart attacks if she knew of all the dumb assedness I participated in during those years and I considered myself quite level headed and one of the good kids.
 
Day 10

Just got back from a 20 minute run with my girlfriend. I stayed a beautiful 10 paces behind her the whole run! I love warm days and tight runner's clolthing lol

Later at the gym will be arms.
