We'll be looking to bring out the larger size sometime next year.
Quick question for Genomyx reps:
I've very recently found myself in need for a "gut health" product, due to a temporary intolerance to probiotics
in the greek yogurt, which is one of the *4* things that I eat. At the moment ingesting even a tbs of it
makes me puke my soul out while being in incredible pain. I found out that the reason of my sudden
(I've been eating that same yogurt for years no problems) intolerance is most likely due to cortisol control,
low cortisol level apparently can cause that.
Now, since I'd really like not to have to cut the thing from my diet because it already lists such small amount
of edible things for me, the question is: would this help me restoring my stomach flora?
Or would it - containing probiotics - make things even worse?
I was about to get a bottle right away but I thought was a good idea to ask since the specific problem.
thanks!
that seems to be a strange situation... i wouldn't think that your sudden intolerance is the cause of the probiotics, but if it is, deductive reasoning would suggest that introducing another probiotic might only exacerbate the issue.
in a situation like this, i would definitely suggest speaking with your physician as to what the cause is. even if you developed IBS symptoms due to low cortisol, a probiotic could only help... so before you purchase a bottle, talk with your doctor; gut health aside, it would be a shame if you had to forgo a food you've been eating all along.
Thank you, appreciate the reply man.
I have the luck of having a doc in the family and that's I (he) came out with the low cortisol as a possible
cause for my sudden intolerance to the yogurt, something I've never had problems with before.
As for the solution, flora will restore on its own with time, of course avoiding in the meantime the
product and stopping the cortisol control (bottle finished yesterday anyway..), I was somewhat trying to find something
to speed up the process, so instead of a general ebay "intestinal flora restore product" I thought about this.
I'll wait a bit, give my system time and then try to incorporate this one and see how it goes.
Again, thank you
A balance of different probiotics is the key to good digestion and GI health, as well as nutrient usage and immune robustness. Depending on how MUCH Greek Yogurt you have been eating, as well as ingestion of other probiotics, it's very possible for you to have skewed your bacterial balance in a way that is detrimental.
While we definitely recommend seeing your physician, unfortunately very few are versed in probiotics. Gut Health is an inexpensive way to balance out intestinal flora.
